Top Ravens News

  • Ravens' Justin Tucker: Breaks cold streak from distance

Tucker converted both of his field-goal attempts (56, 24) and all five of his extra-point attempts in Sunday's win over the Bengals.

Tucker had been maligned of late for having failed to convert any field goals of 50+ yards this season after going 2-for-6 on such kicks last season. He shook off that cold streak when the Ravens needed it most as he kicked a beautiful 56-yarder with fade on it that sailed through the uprights to tie the game late in the fourth quarter. His game-winner had a lower degree of difficulty at just 24 yards. Concerns over Tucker's range are on hold for now as Baltimore heads into its Week 6 matchup against Washington.

  • Ravens' Charlie Kolar: Comes up big against Cincy

Kolar had three catches for 64 yards and a touchdown on four targets Sunday against the Bengals.

Kolar came up just shy of having two touchdowns but he was chased down from behind at the tail end of a 55-yard gain to set up an eventual score for the Ravens. The third-year tight end did manage to cash in his first touchdowns of the season and has shown a surprising knack for making big plays this season considering he burned the Cowboys for a 30-yard reception in Week 3. Baltimore continues to roll with a deep rotation at tight end with Isaiah Likely and Mark Andrews still leading the way in terms of snaps, but Kolar is earning his keep when he's on the field. The Ravens host the Commanders in Week 6.

  • Ravens' Rashod Bateman: Best game of season Sunday

Bateman caught four of eight targets for 58 yards and a touchdown in the Week 5 win over the Bengals.

Bateman's role is settling in as he played 63 percent of the snaps, marking the third week in a row with a snap share north of 60 percent. However, he was far more active this week as he set season-highs in targets, catches and yards. History suggests that there won't be many weeks where Baltimore is going to the air over 40 times, though it's not out of the question for the Week 6 game against Washington which is expected to be the highest-scoring matchup of the week. With that in mind, Bateman could be a viable waiver wire candidate for teams in need of a bye-week replacement.

  • Ravens' Justice Hill: Takes backseat Sunday

Hill had five carries for 17 yards and added one catch for eight yards in Sunday's win over the Bengals.

The veteran's usage in the passing game backslid Sunday as Baltimore needed to target deeper parts of the field to mount its second-half comeback. Hill has two games with a high target volume -- eight in Week 1, six in Week 4 -- but has otherwise gotten two targets per game on average. Baltimore hosts Washington in what projects to be a high-scoring game in Week 6 and Hill's usage could tick up as a result. Still, Hill is really only on the fantasy radar in deeper PPR leagues.

  • Ravens' Brandon Stephens: Racks up nine tackles

Stephens recorded nine tackles (eight solo) and a pass defensed during Sunday's 41-38 overtime win at Cincinnati.

In a game where Joe Burrow only threw nine incompletions on 39 pass attempts, Ravens defensive backs saw plenty of opportunities to make tackles. Stephens established a new season high for himself in that department, and he's actually on pace for a career high in tackles through five games.

  • Ravens' Kyle Hamilton: Logs first sack of season

Hamilton recorded four tackles (three solo), including 1.0 sacks, during Sunday's 41-38 overtime win at Cincinnati.

Hamilton came up the middle on a blitz on third down and got home on Joe Burrow to force a Bengals punt early in the second quarter. He's played up to the standard he set for himself last season through five games this year and has fringe IDP value going into a Week 6 date with the Commanders.

  • Ravens' Roquan Smith: Sets season-high tackle total

Smith recorded 15 tackles (eight solo) during Sunday's 41-38 overtime win at Cincinnati.

Smith posted double digits in the tackle department for the third time in his last four games in Week 5. He's on pace for a career-best season in that category and is an elite IDP play as long as he remains healthy.

  • Ravens' Mark Andrews: Four grabs in OT win

Andrews caught four of five targets for 55 yards in Sunday's 41-38 overtime win over the Bengals.

After being blanked in Weeks 3 and 4 while seeing a meager two total targets, Andrews was more involved as a pass catcher Sunday and set a season high in receiving yards. As though to rub salt in the wound for those with fantasy shares in him though, three of Lamar Jackson's four passing TDs on the day went to other Baltimore tight ends, with Isaiah Likely bringing in two and little-used No. 3 TE Charlie Kolar hauling in a two-yard score in the fourth quarter. It's still a performance that Andrews can try to build on in Week 6 against the Commanders.

  • Ravens' Isaiah Likely: Pops for two TDs against Cincy

Likely caught all three of his targets for 13 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 41-38 overtime win over the Bengals.

Lamar Jackson threw four TDs on the day, and three of them went to tight ends, including a pair of short scoring tosses to Likely in the third and fourth quarters. The third-year player has three touchdowns on only 16 catches through five games, and he hasn't seen more than three targets in a contest since his career-high 12 in Week 1 against Kansas City. Likely will remain a TD-dependent fantasy option in Week 6 against the Commanders.

  • Ravens' Zay Flowers: Tops 100 yards in OT win

Flowers caught seven of 12 targets for 111 yards in Sunday's 41-38 overtime win over the Bengals.

It's the first time in 2024, and the third time in his career, that the second-year wideout has delivered triple-digit receiving yardage. It was also an impressive bounce-back performance from Flowers, who'd managed just a 4-30-0 line on six targets over the prior two games combined. He'll look to build on this performance in Week 6 against the Commanders.

  • Ravens' Derrick Henry: Saves best for last in OT win

Henry carried the ball 15 times for 92 yards and a touchdown and caught his only target for four yards in Sunday's 41-38 overtime win over the Bengals.

The star running back opened the scoring in the first quarter with a one-yard TD plunge, but Henry had minimal yardage until he took advantage of a tired Cincy defense to rumble 51 yards on his last carry of the day. The huge gain set up Justin Tucker for the game-winning field goal, a chip-shot 24-yarder in OT. Henry has 572 yards and six touchdowns on the ground through his first five games as a Raven, and he should see a hefty workload again in Week 6 against the Commanders.

  • Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Fires four TDs in wild OT win

Jackson completed 26 of 42 passes for 348 yards and four touchdowns while adding 55 rushing yards on 12 carries in Sunday's 41-38 overtime win over the Bengals.

In a wild back-and-forth affair that saw the Ravens fall into a 31-21 hole early in the fourth quarter, Jackson led the comeback by tossing two of his four TDs over the final 10 minutes of regulation. It's his best passing performance since he hung 321 yards and five touchdowns on the Dolphins in Week 17 of last season. The two-time NFL MVP will take an impressive 9:1 TD:INT through five games, plus another two scores on the ground, into what could be another barn burner in Week 6 against rookie phenom Jayden Daniels and the Commanders.

  • Ravens' Marlon Humphrey: Dealing with leg injury

Humphrey (lower leg) was seen in a walking boot following Sunday's 41-38 overtime win over the Bengals, Jonas Shaffer of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Humphrey came up with an interception late in the fourth quarter that led to a 56-yard field goal by Justin Tucker to tie the game at 38. However, it appears Humphrey injured his leg either on the following defensive series or during overtime. A walking boot suggests the injury could be severe enough for a multiweek absence, but more will be known after Humphrey undergoes tests on his leg.
