  • Titans' Colton Dowell: Out for Week 18

Dowell (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Texans, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Dowell will remain on the reserve/PUP list to close out the campaign after he tore his ACL and meniscus in Week 17 of last season. The 2023 seventh-round pick will look to have a healthy offseason and compete for a roster spot next summer.

  • Titans' Colton Dowell: Limited in practice Thursday

Dowell (knee) was a limited practice participant Thursday. After being designated for return from the PUP list Dec. 16 and having his 21-day evaluation window opened, Dowell was a limited participant in six straight practices before upgrading to full participation Wednesday. He was unable to repeat full participation a day later, however, which could hurt his chances of being available to play in Sunday's season finale versus the Texans. The Titans will have to activate Dowell from the PUP list by Saturday in order for him to be eligible to suit up in Week 18.

  • Titans' Colton Dowell: Won't return Week 17

Titans head coach Brian Callahan said Tuesday that Dowell (knee) won't be activated from the PUP list in advance of Sunday's game in Jacksonville, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site. Dowell has spent the entire season on the reserve/PUP list after tearing the ACL and meniscus in his right knee in Week 17 of the 2023 campaign and undergoing surgery. The wideout was cleared to resume practicing Dec. 16, but he was a limited participant throughout the past week. Callahan said that Dowell still has an outside chance of playing in Week 18 against the Texans, but the 22-year-old will almost certainly need to resume practicing in full before being activated.

  • Titans' Colton Dowell: Takes next step

Dowell (knee) was designated to return from the reserve/PUP list Monday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Dowell now has a 21-day window to practice with the team, a timeframe that carries through to the end of the regular season. However, Dowell could be activated beforehand and still see game action before the conclusion of the campaign. The UT Martin product suffered a torn ACL in December of last year and has been out of action since, so it may take him some time to get back up to speed.

  • Titans' Colton Dowell: Still not ready

Dowell (knee) will remain on the reserve/PUP list for Week 8, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Dowell suffered a ruptured ACL in January and has been on the PUP list since the Titans opened training camp in July. It's not clear how much longer he'll still be on the sidelines, but once he's designated to return, he'll still have a 21-day window to practice with the team before being added to the active roster.

  • Titans' Colton Dowell: Moves to reserve/PUP list

Dowell (knee) was placed on the reserve/PUP list by the Titans on Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports. • Titans' Colton Dowell: Opens camp on PUP

The Titans placed Dowell (knee) on the active/PUP list Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Dowell was placed on the Titans' injured reserve list in January after rupturing the ACL and meniscus in his right knee in Week 17, so it's no surprise that he will begin training camp on the PUP list. The 2023 seventh-round pick out of UT Martin played in 10 regular-season games in his rookie season, registering one catch for three yards as well as three tackles across 139 special teams snaps.

  • Titans' Colton Dowell: Healthy scratch in Week 8

Dowell (coach's decision) will be inactive for Sunday's game against the Falcons. Dowell will head to the bench with Treylon Burks (knee) making his return in Week 8. The wide receiver will now wait for his next chance to appear in a game with Tennessee.

  • Titans' Colton Dowell: Plays just one snap on offense

Dowell played 15 total snaps -- 14 on special teams and one on offense -- in Sunday's 24-16 loss to the Ravens in London. Inactive for each of the first three games of his career, Dowell has now dressed in three straight contests, but he has yet to carve out much of a role on offense. The rookie seventh-round pick has played just 16 offensive snaps over the last three weeks, drawing just one target during that span. Dowell could find himself back on the inactive list coming out of the Titans' Week 7 bye if Treylon Burks is able to play after missing each of the past three contests with a knee injury.

  • Titans' Colton Dowell: Lands with Tennessee in Round 7

The Titans selected Dowell in the seventh round of the NFL Draft, 228th overall. Dowell becomes the first wide receiver drafted by the Titans this year. An impressive athlete given his size (6-foot-3), Dowell registered a 4.42 40-yard dash, 41.5-inch vertical jump and an 11-foot broad jump. As a rookie, he'll look to secure a depth role behind Treylon Burks, Chris Moore, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Kyle Philips.
