  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Loses again Tuesday

Hellebuyck stopped 28 of 31 shots in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Blues. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.

Hellebuyck's losing streak is now at three games, though he's allowed just eight goals on 93 shots in that span. The Jets have given him exactly one goal of support in each of those losses -- of Hellebuyck's five defeats this year, he's received multiple goals of support just once. He's down to 15-5-0 with a 2.16 GAA and a .927 save percentage over 20 starts. Given he's played fairly well during the skid, the Jets have little reason to rest their starter -- expect him to be in goal Thursday against the Sabres.

Hellebuyck made 32 stops in a 4-1 win over the Stars on Nov. 9. Dallas sits ninth in the league with 3.45 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Falls to Stars

Hellebuyck saved 28 of 30 shots in Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Stars. The third goal was an empty-netter.

Hellebuyck gave up goals to Wyatt Johnston and Mason Marchment, and there was nothing he could have done on the latter's tally. Hellebuyck has now lost consecutive starts for the first time this season, though he's allowed just a combined five goals on 62 shots to the Kings and Stars. The 31-year-old is down to a 15-4-0 record with a 2.11 GAA and a .928 save percentage. He's first in the league in wins, two ahead of the goalie at the other end of the rink in Sunday's contest. Look for Hellebuyck to tend the twine again Tuesday at home versus the Blues.

  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Falls to Kings

Hellebuyck stopped 30 of 33 shots in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Kings. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.

Hellebuyck had a fine effort, but the same can't be said for the team in front of him -- they mustered just 14 shots on net against David Rittich. This loss ended a three-game winning streak for Hellebuyck, who dropped to 15-3-0 on the year. He's added a 2.11 GAA and a .928 save percentage through 18 starts, and this setback shouldn't take the shine off his overall performance. The Jets have a couple more tough matchups on this road trip, as they visit the Golden Knights on Friday and the Stars on Sunday.

  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Superb in win over Wild

Hellebuyck stopped 43 of 44 shots in Monday's 4-1 win over the Wild.

The Wild had plenty of pressure over the first two periods, but Hellebuyck limited the damage to Jacob Middleton's first-period marker. The Jets' defense clamped down in the third, and Hellebuyck had no trouble protecting a 2-1 lead before goals by Alex Iafallo and Adam Lowry secured the victory. Hellebuyck has won eight of his last nine starts, allowing one goal or fewer in five of those games. He's now at 15-2-0 with a 2.06 GAA and a .929 save percentage over 17 starts. He's been the best goalie in the league this season, and he just outplayed one of the few that has been anywhere close to him in Filip Gustavsson. • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Solid in Friday's win

Hellebuyck stopped 17 of 18 shots in Friday's 4-1 win over the Penguins.

Hellebuyck wasn't particularly busy in this contest -- the 18 shots against were a season low. The 31-year-old's shutout bid was spoiled by Michael Bunting on a Penguins power play in the third period. Hellebuyck has won two straight starts and eight of his last nine outings. He's 14-2-0 with a 2.13 GAA and a .914 save percentage through 16 starts overall. The Jets play again Saturday in Nashville, and while it'll likely be an Eric Comrie start, there's at least a small chance Hellebuyck could go again after a light workload. This is the Jets' first back-to-back set of the season.

Hellebuyck stopped 26 of 31 shots in Saturday's 5-0 loss to the Panthers.

Hellebuyck entered this game on a six-game winning run, but that streak was snapped abruptly by the defending Stanley Cup champions. The star goaltender, who's looking like an early favorite to win the Vezina Trophy, gave up goals in each period for a second straight outing. Still, one bad start won't erase his excellent performances over the last month-plus. He'll aim to bounce back Tuesday in a rematch against Florida.

  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Fueling team's success

Hellebuyck made 33 saves in a 6-3 win over the Rangers on Tuesday.

The NHL hasn't seen a repeat Vezina winner since Martin Brodeur in 2007 and 2008, but Hellebuyck's start to 2024-25 already has people talking that way. He leads the NHL in wins (12), GAA (1.92) and save percentage (.934). Heading into Tuesday night, Hellebuyck was tied for fifth overall in high-danger saves (70) and was outperforming the Rangers' Igor Shesterkin in high-danger save percentage (.854 to .811). We'll withhold Hart talk, at least for now, but that could change if the Jets continue to build on their 15-1-0 start.
