  • Blackhawks' Ryan Donato: Notches power-play assist

Donato logged a power-play assist and five shots on goal in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Stars.

Donato lost his top-line gig after the end of his five-game point streak in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Red Wings. The 28-year-old still held a spot on the top power-play unit, which will keep him in the mix for fantasy consideration a little while longer. However, an even-strength assignment on the fourth line is likely to take a toll on his numbers. Donato has 10 points, 33 shots on net, 30 hits and a plus-3 rating over 13 contests this season. Until he's back alongside Connor Bedard on a regular basis, Donato is a player fantasy managers can replace once his offense goes cold.

  • Blackhawks' Connor Bedard: Slides power-play helper

Bedard recorded a power-play assist, three hits, two blocked shots, two PIM and a minus-2 rating in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Stars.

Bedard has four helpers over four games in November, but he has gone six contests without a goal. The 19-year-old is up to 13 points (six on the power play), 50 shots on net, six hits, 11 blocked shots, six PIM and a minus-4 rating through 15 contests overall. Bedard has modestly upped his shot rate this season, but he's converting at just a 6.0 percent clip, so he'll likely benefit from both the higher volume and a little positive regression as the campaign progresses.

  • Blackhawks' Tyler Bertuzzi: Nets lone goal on power play

Bertuzzi scored a power-play goal on three shots in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Stars.

Bertuzzi's tally at 9:00 of the third period broke up Jake Oettinger's shutout bid, but the Blackhawks didn't find an equalizer. Three of Bertuzzi's five goals this season have come on the power play. The winger has four points over his last five outings, and he's at a total of six points, 32 shots on net, 13 hits and a minus-5 rating through 15 contests overall.

  • Blackhawks' Arvid Soderblom: Strong effort in loss

Soderblom allowed two goals on 39 shots in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Stars. The third goal was an empty-netter.

The Blackhawks didn't play all that well, but Soderblom did his best to keep things competitive. While he's won just one of his four starts so far, the 25-year-old netminder has allowed a total of nine goals on 135 shots, good for a .933 save percentage. He looks much more prepared for the NHL in 2024-25 than he did in either of the previous two seasons, and that's good news with Laurent Brossoit (knee) not yet close to a return. Soderblom remains in the backup role, and it'll likely be Petr Mrazek who gets the nod versus the Wild on Sunday, though Soderblom's strong play could earn him more looks in the near future.

  • Blackhawks' Arvid Soderblom: Set to patrol road crease

Soderblom will start Thursday's road game against the Stars, Owen Newkirk of DLLS Sports reports.

Soderblom will make just his fourth start of the season in the second half of a back-to-back set. The 25-year-old has had mixed results early in the year, posting a 1-1-1 record, 2.35 GAA and .927 save percentage over his three appearances.

  • Blackhawks' Connor Murphy: Adds helper Wednesday

Murphy posted an assist, two hits and three blocked shots in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Red Wings.

Murphy had opened November with a pair of scoreless efforts before assisting on a Nick Foligno goal Wednesday. Through 14 contests, Murphy has seven helpers -- putting him one point shy of matching last year's offensive output from 46 games. He's added 18 hits, 31 blocked shots, 21 PIM and 15 shots on net in 2024-25. Murphy is seeing top-four minutes, and while the offense is unlikely to last, his non-scoring production could be useful in deeper formats.

  • Blackhawks' Petr Mrazek: Gives up three goals Wednesday

Mrazek stopped 21 of 24 shots in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Red Wings. The fourth goal was an empty-netter with 2:13 left in the third period.

Mrazek has been inconsistent of late, going 2-2-0 with a 2.73 GAA and a .908 save percentage over his last four contests, and he's given up three or more goals in all but one of his last seven starts. On the season, the 32-year-old has gone 4-7-0 with a 3.02 GAA and an .898 save percentage, so he's been far from effective, although that could be expected since the Blackhawks should rank near the bottom of the Central Division standings once it's all said and done.

  • Blackhawks' Nick Foligno: Scores in loss to Detroit

Foligno scored a goal in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Red Wings.

Foligno found the back of the net midway through the second period, but that would be all the offense Chicago would muster against Cam Talbot. Foligno has five goals on the season, and while he's lightened the lamp in two of his last three outings, he's not producing consistently enough to be a reliable fantasy contributor on a game-to-game basis. He's getting the job done as an enforcer, though, racking up 45 hits and nine blocked shots through his 14 contests.

  • Blackhawks' Petr Mrazek: Set to start Wednesday

Mrazek is expected to start at home against Detroit on Wednesday.

Mrazek has a 4-6-0 record, 3.03 GAA and .900 save percentage in 10 appearances this season. He's allowed at least three goals in five of his past six starts. Mrazek, albeit in part because he's playing for a rebuilding squad, has left something to be desired in the early part of 2024-25, but the Red Wings haven't been great either. Detroit is 5-5-1 and ranks 25th offensively with 2.64 goals per game.

  • Blackhawks' Philipp Kurashev: Puts up helper on top line

Kurashev logged an assist and two PIM in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Ducks.

Kurashev had played just about everywhere but the top line early in the season, but he was there with Connor Bedard and Ryan Donato on Sunday. The helper was Kurashev's third point to go with 17 shots on net, six PIM and a minus-8 rating through 12 appearances this season. The 25-year-old forward was successful last year in a similar role, so this may be enough to get his offense going, but the Blackhawks' wing depth is stronger this year. If Kurashev's performance dips, another tumble down the lineup could quickly follow.

  • Blackhawks' Lukas Reichel: Generates power-play helper

Reichel notched a power-play assist and two PIM in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Ducks.

Reichel has a helper in consecutive contests after assisting on a Seth Jones tally in the second period. The 22-year-old Reichel continues to see limited minutes at even strength, but he's playing on the power play to give him a little more scoring potential. He now has a goal, five assists, 16 shots on net and a plus-2 rating over nine appearances.

  • Blackhawks' Alex Vlasic: Logs power-play helper

Vlasic recorded a power-play assist, two shots on goal and five blocked shots in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Ducks.

Vlasic has helpers in back-to-back games for the second time this season. He's earned five assists over his last seven outings and a total of seven helpers through 13 contests overall. The 23-year-old isn't just producing decent offense -- he has added 12 shots on net, 36 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating in a top-four role. The presence of Seth Jones limits Vlasic to the second power-play unit, but it's not hampering the youngster's performance.

  • Blackhawks' Taylor Hall: Collects pair of helpers

Hall notched two assists, four shots on goal and two PIM in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Ducks.

Hall helped out on first-period tallies by Isaak Phillips and Teuvo Teravainen, with the latter's goal coming on the power play. This was Hall's first multi-point effort of the season, and he now has three helpers over his last three contests. For the year, the winger has six points, 31 shots on net, 12 blocked shots, seven hits and a minus-4 rating over 13 appearances. The 32-year-old is filling a middle-six role with power-play time, but the Blackhawks' weak team offense leaves him with low upside.

  • Blackhawks' Connor Bedard: Distributes three helpers

Bedard notched three assists, five shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Ducks.

Bedard entered Sunday with no points over his last three games despite the Blackhawks scoring 10 goals as a team in that span. The 19-year-old put an end to the slump with an assist in each period, including one power-play helper. He's too talented to stay quiet over long stretches, so fantasy managers shouldn't be too discouraged. Bedard is up to three goals, nine assists (five on the power play), 45 shots and a minus-1 rating through 13 appearances.

  • Blackhawks' Isaak Phillips: Pots rare goal

Phillips scored a goal and blocked two shots in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Ducks.

Phillips has played in back-to-back games, with T.J. Brodie sitting out both times. The 23-year-old Phillips is limited to third-pairing minutes and likely won't score enough to help in fantasy -- his goal Sunday was the second of his 55-game career. He can chip in some non-scoring production after logging 56 hits, 36 blocked shots and 22 PIM over 33 contests in 2023-24, but there's not a lot of upside in his game yet.

... See More ... See Less
  • Blackhawks' Ryan Donato: Stays hot with top-line move

Donato scored a goal on four shots and added two hits in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Ducks.

Donato provided an insurance tally in the third period, his fifth goal and seventh point in his last five games. That hot stretch earned him a chance to play alongside Connor Bedard on Sunday, though Donato still saw just 13:46 of ice time. The 28-year-old has seven goals, two helpers, 23 shots on net, 28 hits and a plus-5 rating through 11 appearances this season. Donato can get hot over short stretches, but he'll probably be cycled off the Blackhawks' top line once his offense goes cold, so fantasy managers may want to consider him a streaming option only.
