Sharks' Michael Misa: Placed on injured reserve
Misa (lower body) was placed on injured reserve by the Sharks on Thursday, per the NHL media site.
Misa suffered a lower-body injury during practice this week that forced him to miss Wednesday's matchup against Seattle, and he'll be unavailable for multiple games after landing on injured reserve. It's not yet clear when Misa will be able to return, but Zack Ostapchuk will likely have a chance to see some playing time for the Sharks after he was called up Thursday.

Sharks' Zack Ostapchuk: Up from minors
Ostapchuk was summoned by the Sharks on Thursday, per Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now.
Ostapchuk has two goals and three points in nine appearances with AHL San Jose in 2025-26. Michael Misa (lower body) has already been ruled out for Friday's clash against Winnipeg, while William Eklund (lower body) is questionable for the game. If Eklund can't play, and Ryan Reaves (lower body) isn't ready to be activated off injured reserve, then Ostapchuk will probably play Friday in a bottom-six capacity.

Sharks' William Eklund: Skates Thursday
Eklund (lower body) skated Thursday and will be re-evaluated ahead of Friday's game against Winnipeg, according to Max Miller of NHL.com.
Eklund has missed the last two games with the injury. He has five goals, six assists, 10 blocked shots, eight hits and 31 shots on goal over 12 contests in 2025-26. Should Eklund play Friday, look for him to replace Adam Gaudette on the second line.

Sharks' Michael Misa: Ruled out versus Jets
Misa (lower body) will not be in the lineup against Winnipeg on Friday, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports.
The full extent of Misa's lower-body injury hasn't been determined yet, as he continues to be evaluated, but he will be on the shelf for his second straight game. With Misa unavailable, Adam Gaudette figures to remain in a top-six role alongside Philipp Kurashev. Considering the Sharks are heading into a back-to-back, it seems unlikely Misa will be cleared in time to face Florida on Saturday, though he hasn't been officially ruled out.

Sharks' Ethan Cardwell: Finds twine Wednesday
Cardwell scored a goal, added two PIM and logged two hits in Wednesday's 6-1 win over the Kraken.
Cardwell's goal late in the first period stood as the game-winner. The 23-year-old forward has played the last two games as the Sharks have been short at forward due to the absences of William Eklund (lower body), Michael Misa (lower body) and Ryan Reaves (lower body). Cardwell may not stick with the big club once everyone's healthy, but he could make that a tougher decision if he can chip in semi-regular offense.

The third-period tally was Dellandrea's first of the season. The 25-year-old has been a decent depth scorer in a bottom-six role this year, supplying six points, 11 shots on net, 31 hits, 10 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over 14 appearances. Dellandrea's usage is mostly defensive in nature, but he's just two points shy of matching his total from 68 games a year ago.

Sharks' John Klingberg: Earns two points in win
Klingberg scored a power-play goal, dished an assist and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 6-1 win over the Kraken.
Klingberg stretched the Sharks' lead to 3-1 in the second period. He earned his first multi-point effort of the season, and he has three points over five contests since returning from a lower-body injury. Overall, the defenseman has two goals, five points (three on the power play), 12 shots on net, 10 hits, nine blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating over eight appearances this campaign. He should continue to see top-four minutes and power-play usage.

Sharks' Tyler Toffoli: Earns pair of points
Toffoli scored a goal on three shots, added an assist, logged two PIM and went plus-3 in Wednesday's 6-1 win over the Kraken.
Toffoli set up Macklin Celebrini on the opening goal early in the first period and added a tally of his own in the third to close out the scoring. With three goals and three assists over his last six outings, Toffoli has found a steady stretch after some uneven performances in mid-October. The winger is at five goals, nine points, 33 shots on net, 11 hits and a plus-3 rating through 14 appearances.

Sharks' Will Smith: Goal, assist in win
Smith scored a goal on three shots, added a power-play assist and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 6-1 win over the Kraken.
Smith has three goals and two helpers over his last five outings for one of his most consistent stretches of the season. The 20-year-old is up to five goals, 13 points, 28 shots on net, eight PIM and a plus-6 rating over 14 appearances. Smith's continued roles on the first line and top power-play unit should allow him to remain productive on offense, though he doesn't add a whole lot of non-scoring production to soften the slumps for fantasy managers.

Sharks' Macklin Celebrini: Rings up three points in win
Celebrini scored a goal on two shots, added two assists, blocked two shots, logged two PIM and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 6-1 win over the Kraken.
Celebrini got things started early with a goal 1:08 into the game. He also set up tallies by John Klingberg (on the power play) and Will Smith. Celebrini saw a seven-game point streak end Sunday versus the Red Wings, so it's good to see him respond immediately with his fifth multi-point effort of the season. The 19-year-old center is up to eight goals, 13 helpers, 40 shots on net and a plus-4 rating across 14 appearances.

Sharks' Yaroslav Askarov: Wins in consecutive starts
Askarov stopped 28 of 29 shots in Wednesday's 6-1 win over the Kraken.
Askarov has now won three of his last four outings. He's been sharp in his past two victories, stopping 64 of 67 shots to take down the Avalanche and Kraken. Askarov is up to 3-4-1 with a 3.88 GAA and an .874 save percentage over eight outings this season. He had a stretch where he started three consecutive games, but he has returned to alternating starts with Alex Nedeljkovic. Both goalies should get a turn between the pipes with an upcoming back-to-back set, as the Sharks host the Jets on Friday and the Panthers on Saturday.

Misa (lower body) will not play Wednesday versus the Kraken, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.
The 18-year-old sustained his injury during practice and will have to miss at least one game. Misa's next chance to play is the first half of a back-to-back for San Jose on Friday against the Jets. Askarov has a 2-4-1 record, 4.29 GAA and .862 save percentage through seven outings in the 2025-26 campaign. While he's had some rough appearances, he did stop 36 of 38 shots to earn a 3-2 overtime victory over Colorado in his last start Saturday. Seattle is 6-2-4 and ranks 24th in goals per game with 2.75.
