Bradford (0-5) took the loss Wednesday against the Mariners, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks over four innings. He struck out one.

Bradford gave up a run on a Taylor Ward two-out single in the second inning before Seattle added two more on a Cole Young double in the fourth. Bradford has failed to make it through six innings in any of his last five starts. His ERA now sits at 4.72 through seven outings (34.1 innings) this season with a 1.57 WHIP and 17:9 K:BB. Bradford will look to get in the win column his next time out, tentatively slated to come on the road in Arizona.

Montero didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 7-2 win over the Twins, allowing two runs on two hits and two walks over four innings. He struck out two.

The start of the game was delayed by 100 minutes due to rain, but Montero may have had his workload limited regardless. The right-hander was lifted after 74 pitches (39 strikes), the third time in his last four outings he's failed to reach 80 pitches. Montero's 147 innings on the season are a career high, but right in line with the 133.1 innings he tossed in 2025 and the 146.2 he worked in 2024 across all levels, so fatigue shouldn't be a big factor for him. Over his last eight trips to the mound, however, Montero's sagged to a 4.61 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 20:12 K:BB in 41 frames. With Jack Flaherty (forearm) and River Ryan options to join the big-league staff before the end of the season, Montero could be shifted into a tandem or piggyback role over the final weeks.

Anderson (1-1) earned the win Wednesday over the Rangers, allowing a run on six hits and one walk over six innings. He struck out five.

After giving up four runs in a loss to the A's his last time out, Anderson responded with his best start in the majors thus far. The southpaw allowed one run on a Jake Burger homer in the second inning before holding the Rangers to just three hits over his final four frames en route to both his first win and quality start with Seattle. Through four outings, Anderson sports a 4.29 ERA with a 1.38 WHIP and 16:8 K:BB over 21 innings. He's tentatively lined up to face the Angels on the road in his next start.

Matthews (9-10) took the loss Wednesday as the Twins fell 7-2 to the Tigers, coughing up five runs on two hits and four walks over 2.1 innings. He struck out two.

Two runs in the first inning and three more in the third chased Matthews from the mound after just 58 pitches (27 strikes) in his shortest outing of the season, one that was delayed by an hour and 40 minutes prior to the first pitch. It was a tough pill to swallow for the right-hander after he'd lasted at least five innings in eight straight starts, posting a 3.64 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 39:12 K:BB over that stretch as he built a case for a rotation spot in 2027. The loss drops Minnesota to five games back of a wild-card spot with 16 to play, and four other teams they'd need to move past to make the postseason. Matthews lines up to make his next start at home next week against the Yankees.

Arnold has been diagnosed with intra-orbital and maxillary sinus fractures after being struck in the left side of the face by a line drive during a start Tuesday at Triple-A Las Vegas, according to Martin Gallegos of MLB.com.

Facing his second batter of the game, Arnold was drilled on the left cheek by a 107 mph line drive. He immediately walked off the mound and into the clubhouse without assistance, but subsequent testing revealed the fractures. Arnold was making just his second start since being promoted to Las Vegas, and he was charged with one run while failing to record an out Tuesday. He will not need surgery, but the left-hander's season is over and it's uncertain beyond that how long his rehab will take. Arnold has collected a 3.50 ERA and 130:52 K:BB over 118.1 innings covering 25 starts this season between Double-A Midland and Las Vegas.

Wacha didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Diamondbacks after allowing three hits and four walks while striking out four over six scoreless innings.

Wacha kept Arizona off the scoreboard through six innings but received no offensive support in a game that remained scoreless until the eighth. The veteran worked around four walks while limiting the Diamondbacks to three hits, throwing 93 pitches before turning the game over to the bullpen. The quality start was Wacha's 20th of the season, and he lowered his ERA to 3.25. His next start should come against the Astros next week.

Ryan (hamstring) will start Wednesday at Triple-A Toledo, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

It will be Ryan's organizational debut after he was acquired from the Dodgers in the Tarik Skubal trade last month. The 28-year-old has made just eight starts this season, registering a 4.46 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 43:8 K:BB across 36.1 innings with Triple-A Oklahoma City prior to being dealt to the Tigers. Ryan figures to be a member of Detroit's rotation next season but could debut with the big club later this month.

Burke (8-7) took the loss Tuesday against the Pirates after allowing seven runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out two over 1.1 innings.

Burke endured the shortest start of his career as Pittsburgh overwhelmed him immediately. The first seven Pirates reached safely, with six hits and a walk producing five runs before Burke recorded an out. He returned for the second but exited after loading the bases with one out. The seven runs and eight hits allowed were both career highs, raising his ERA to 3.58. His next start lines up for this weekend against the Cardinals.

Wesneski (5-1) picked up the win Tuesday, giving up three runs on five hits over six innings in a 6-5 victory over the Phillies. He struck out three.

The right-hander carried a shutout into the sixth inning before fading, with a two-run homer by Trea Turner accounting for most of the damage off him, but Wesneski still held on for his fourth quality start of the year in his eighth trip to the mound. Since completing his recovery from Tommy John surgery and making his season debut in late July, Wesneski has produced a 3.35 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 36:14 K:BB over 45.2 innings. He'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, which is set to come on the road this weekend in Tampa Bay.

Peralta (8-11) earned the win Tuesday against Atlanta after allowing one run on five hits and one walk while striking out two over six innings.

Peralta navigated a difficult first inning, allowing three consecutive singles before escaping a bases-loaded jam with no further damage than just a run. He settled in from there, retiring 16 of the final 18 batters he faced and completing six innings on 92 total pitches. Peralta has now won three consecutive starts while allowing just two runs across 18 innings during that stretch, continuing his strong turnaround since joining Tampa Bay at the trade deadline.
