Mateo went 1-for-3 with two RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's win against Atlanta.

Mateo hit a single in the in the second to bring home two runners and extend Tampa bay's lead to three versus his old team. The 31-year-old has been getting more playing time with Ben Williamson (hamstring) and Taylor Walls (hip) out with injuries. Since joining the Rays, Mateo has an insignificant .149 batting average with one home runs and seven RBI, but has seven stolen bases in 19 games.

Witt went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

Arizona had just clawed back from a two-run deficit in the top of the fifth inning, but Witt answered with a big homer to put the Royals ahead for good. In September, the shortstop has gone 8-for-33 (.242) with two homers and five RBI over nine contests. Witt has had a bit of a down year in the power department with 18 homers through 128 contests. He's batting .282 with an .814 OPS, 54 RBI, 84 runs scored, 30 doubles, one triple and 39 stolen bases.

Neto went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's 6-4 win over Boston.

Fresh off ripping four hits in Tuesday's victory over the Red Sox, Neto struck again at Fenway Park on Wednesday. That makes it back-to-back games with a homer for the slugging shortstop, who already has four multi-hit efforts in eight September outings thus far. Through 630 trips to the plate, Neto is slashing a respectable .244/.324/.443 with 25 long balls, 72 RBI, 19 stolen bases and 91 runs scored.

Lombard went 1-for-4 with a grand slam in Wednesday's 6-1 win over Colorado.

Lombard blasted his first career grand slam Wednesday as well as the first of the season for New York. The 21-year-old shortstop also became the youngest Yankee with a grand slam since Mickey Mantle way back in 1952, per Bryan Hoch of MLB.com. Through 96 major-league at-bats so far, Lombard is hitting .240 with three homers, 11 RBI, one stolen base and 14 runs scored.

Seager went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Mariners.

Seager cut the Rangers' deficit to 3-2 in the eighth inning with his third home run in his last three games, an opposite-field shot off lefty Gabe Speier. Seager has now hit safely in six straight contests, going 8-for-25 (.320) with four long balls in that span. He's now slashing .230/.325/.435 through 366 plate appearances this season with 17 homers, 51 runs scored and 40 RBI.

Peck went 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's 7-2 win over the Twins. He also stole a base.

Peck did a little bit of everything in the victory, including stealing his second base in as many games after getting a day off Tuesday. The 24-year-old is getting his first taste of MLB action and has become Detroit's primary option at shortstop, though veteran Javier Baez can still play there along with fellow rookie Kevin McGonigle when he's not covering third. If Peck performs well down the stretch, he'll put himself in position to be the Tigers' Opening Day shortstop in 2027.

The Yankees are expected to recall Volpe from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday, Jorge Castillo of ESPN.com reports.

The Yankees are going to need an extra infielder once they place Jazz Chisholm (thumb) on the injured list, and it will be Volpe who joins the parent club as the replacement. The 25-year-old has thrived since moving down to Triple-A in early August, slashing .295/.393/.667 with 10 homers, 31 RBI, 22 runs and eight steals across 122 plate appearances with the RailRiders. He's worked exclusively as a shortstop throughout his four seasons in the majors but has started to pick up experience at second and third base in the minors, which could open up more avenues to playing time once he rejoins the Pinstripes.

Orioles manager Craig Albernaz said that Henderson (foot) will not be in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Henderson had to be lifted from Tuesday's contest after fouling a ball off his foot, and he remains sore. The Orioles are idle Thursday, so Henderson will aim to return to action Friday when Baltimore begins a road trip in Toronto.

De Vries will undergo surgery to repair an anterior labrum tear in his right shoulder, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

De Vries is expected to require eight months to recover following his procedure, which will officially put an early end to his season and rule him out for the early portion of the 2027 campaign as well. The 19-year-old infield prospect will close the book on 2026 after slashing .287/.376/.453 with 13 homers, 55 RBI, 64 runs scored and 34 steals across 431 plate appearances at Double-A Midland.

Neto went 4-for-5 with a double and a two-run home run during the Angels' 6-1 win over the Red Sox on Tuesday.

Neto's four hits Tuesday were his second most of the season, and he capped off his night with a two-run home run over the Green Monster to give the Angels a five-run lead. The 25-year-old shortstop has had his ups and downs this season but is enjoying a productive season overall. Neto has a .242/.321/.436 slash line with 19 steals (in 30 attempts), 24 home runs and 69 RBI over 626 plate appearances this year.
