Top Theo Lindstein News

  • Blues' Theo Lindstein: Demoted to minors

Lindstein was sent down to AHL Springfield on Tuesday, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.

Lindstein saw action in 17 games for the Blues this season, notching two goals, two assists and eight hits while averaging 15:46 of ice time. He'll return to the minors, where he has six goals and eight helpers in 56 minor-league contests. Heading into 2026-27, Lindstein should be in the mix for an Opening Night roster spot.

  • Blues' Theo Lindstein: Scores first career goal

Lindstein scored a goal on two shots in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Sharks.

Lindstein hadn't gotten on the scoresheet since he had an assist in his debut March 10 versus the Islanders. The 21-year-old defenseman opened the scoring Monday at 5:28 of the first period. Lindstein has added 11 shots on net, six hits, seven blocked shots, six PIM and a plus-4 rating over 10 appearances. His offense is still a work in progress and likely won't ever be a leading skill, but he should be reliable in his own zone throughout his career.

  • Blues' Theo Lindstein: Logs helper in NHL debut

Lindstein notched an assist in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Islanders.

This was Lindstein's NHL debut, and he made an impact with a secondary helper on Jimmy Snuggerud's tally in the second period. The Blues have leaned on their top defensemen all season, so Lindstein's minutes are likely to be limited as long as he's in a bottom-four role. He had 13:39 of ice time Tuesday in his debut, and it's unclear how long he'll stick in the NHL this time around.

  • Blues' Theo Lindstein: Summoned from AHL

Lindstein was recalled from AHL Springfield on Monday.

Lindstein has six goals and 14 points in 56 minor-league appearances this season. It's unclear at this time if the 21-year-old blueliner will get a chance to make his NHL debut during his stint with the Blues.

  • Blues' Theo Lindstein: Continues development in Sweden

Lindstein has three goals and six points in 35 appearances with Brynas IF of the SHL this season.

Lindstein has spent parts of three seasons playing in the SHL, which is pretty impressive given that he's still just 20 years old, and it's a men's league. The defenseman isn't known for his offensive contributions, but he has been productive against players in his age group. During the 2024 and 2025 World Junior Championships, Lindstein combine for two goals and 12 points across 14 outings with Team Sweden. The Blues selected him with the No. 29 overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft. Lindstein might be an important blueliner for St. Louis in the future, but he'll likely move from the SHL to the AHL instead of jumping straight into the NHL after shifting away from European hockey

  • Blues' Theo Lindstein: Agrees to entry-level contract

Lindstein signed a three-year, entry-level contract with St. Louis on Wednesday.

Lindstein provided four goals and 15 points in 49 games with Brynas IF of HockeyAllsvenskan, which is Sweden's second-tier league, this season. The 19-year-old was taken by St. Louis with the No. 29 overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft. Lindstein will probably need to spend time developing with AHL Springfield before potentially getting a shot with the Blues.
