The 24-year-old has a nice mix of power and speed, but he struggled to make consistent enough contact early in his MLB career to really put his skills to use. It looks like Meadows is starting to turn a corner, and the Tigers should continue to reward him with regular playing time.

Since getting called back to the majors on Aug. 3 after some early-season struggles got him demoted, Meadows is batting .301 with three home runs, 12 RBI and 16 runs scored across 26 games. The youngster seems to be taking a step forward and could be poised for a 2025 breakout.
Meadows is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels.
Meadows appears to be getting a routine day off after he started in each of the last five games. Unless he's used off the bench, Meadows will put his six-game hitting streak on hold Wednesday while the Tigers roll out a starting outfield trio of Riley Greene, Matt Vierling and Kerry Carpenter from left to right.

Meadows will join fellow left-handed batters Riley Greene, Trey Sweeney and Zach McKinstry on the bench while the Cubs send southpaw Justin Steele to the hill in the series finale. Matt Vierling will cover center field in place of Meadows, who has supplied a .949 OPS in 14 games since returning from the 10-day injured list Aug. 3.
