Analysis

Delaware’s stats against Vanderbilt look better than they should because they padded them during late fourth-quarter garbage time. On regular downs, Delaware gave up pressure on more than 40% of pass attempts and couldn’t get their run game going between the tackles. Meanwhile, Coastal Carolina not only held their own at West Virginia, but also rolled over Fordham. The Chanticleers have a +0.75 Net YPP, a 68% pass-blocking win rate, and a +2 sack differential. Delaware lags behind with a +0.15 Net YPP, a 59% pass-blocking win rate, and a -4 sack differential. When adjusting for strength of schedule, Coastal Carolina’s control at the line of scrimmage stands out even more. I’d also take a shot on the Chanticleers to win outright.

Analysis

Nothing Clemson has shown this season has been good. They have major QB issues and Dabo Swinney’s lack of using the transfer portal has torpedoed this program from what it used to be. Not that UNC is all that great offensively, but I’m buying their defense after what I saw vs. TCU in Week 0. This game should be U-G-L-Y and ruled by both defenses. The Under is my top play but I wouldn't be surprised to see an upset either. North Carolina 19, Clemson 17.

Analysis

Georgia has won and covered the last three meetings with Arkansas, which has a new head coach this year in Ryan Silverfield. Arkansas lost their last 10 games in a row last season, and while they snapped the losing streak against North Alabama, they got back to their losing ways at Utah, losing 43-10. Georgia looks better than ever, putting up 63 and 70 points in their first two games, and they're playing with eight starters on defense back from last season, as well as six returning starters on offense, including quarterback Gunner Stockton, running back Nate Frazier, and three offensive linemen. Everybody's talking about another team to win the championship while leaving Georgia out of the mix. That's a mistake. Georgia to cover.

Where the Wildcats will have a chance to right the ship against LIU is in the trenches. Nova is always stellar along both sides of the line of scrimmage and will be able to dominate there en route to an easier cover if they were playing a team in the Patriot League or their former league, the CAA.

Analysis

I have a hard time not betting Georgia at this number. Yes, the competition has been weak, but the Bulldogs are executing at an elite level. Georgia leads the country at 66.5 points per game and is producing +0.513 EPA per play offensively, while allowing -0.365 EPA per play on defense. Arkansas has been the complete opposite. The Razorbacks are generating just -0.161 offensive EPA per play with a 43.8% success rate, and KJ Jackson has not looked like an SEC-caliber quarterback. This is Georgia’s first road game of the season, but the efficiency gap is massive. I expect the Bulldogs to handle business in a big way.
