  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Roughed up by Rangers

Bobrovsky made 20 saves in Monday's 5-3 loss to the Rangers. The Panthers took leads in the first and second periods, but Bobrovsky couldn't make them stick, and the game got away from Florida in the third. It's the first time the 36-year-old netminder has given up more than three goals in an outing since Feb. 4, derailing some of the momentum he'd built up ahead of the postseason. Assuming he's on the bench Tuesday in Florida's finale against Tampa Bay -- the Panthers' first-round opponent in the playoffs -- Bobrovsky will wrap up the regular season with a 33-19-2 record, 2.44 GAA and .906 save percentage.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: First goalie off Monday

Bobrovsky was the first goalie to leave the ice Monday, George Richards of Florida Hockey Now reports, indicating he'll be in goal at home versus the Rangers. Bobrovsky has given up just one goal in each of his last two contests, posting a 2-0-0 record and .951 save percentage. With the veteran backstop getting the nod Monday, fantasy managers can likely expect to see Vitek Vanecek in the crease for the second game of a back-to-back on the road versus the Lightning on Tuesday, but it will be all Bobrovsky when the playoffs start.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Another strong outing

Bobrovsky made 27 saves in a 4-1 win over Detroit on Thursday. Alex DeBrincat was the only Wing to beat him; it came early in the first period. Bobrovsky has won two straight games, and he allowed only one goal in each contest. Bob's 2.39 GAA puts him fifth in the NHL this season and his .908 save percentage is 15th in the league. Bobrovsky is peaking for the postseason, but daily managers need to watch his deployment carefully. The Panthers have three games left, and they will likely give him some rest heading into the postseason.

Bobrovsky was the first goalie off the ice during Thursday's morning skate, Colby Guy of The Palm Beach Post reports, indicating that he'll draw the start at home against the Red Wings. Bobrovsky snapped a three-game losing streak Tuesday against the Maple Leafs by turning aside 17 of 18 shots (.944 save percentage), and he'll attempt to remain effective Thursday. The Red Wings are generating 2.81 goals per game this season, which ranks 24th in the NHL.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Not really tested in win

Bobrovsky made 17 saves in a 3-1 win over Toronto on Tuesday. He wasn't truly tested -- the Leafs' big boys really didn't show up Tuesday. With the win, Bobrovsky snapped a three-game losing streak. He is 32-18-2 with five shutouts, a 2.42 GAA and a .907 save percentage. Bob is prepping for a postseason run, so watch for the Kitties to give him a bit of rest until season's end. He's played a lot over the last 12-14 months.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: First goalie off Tuesday

Bobrovsky was the first goalie to leave the ice Tuesday, Colby Guy of The Palm Beach Post reports, indicating he'll get the starting nod at home versus the Leafs. Bobrovsky is currently mired in a three-game losing streak during which he posted a subpar .884 save percentage. If the Cats find themselves unable to change their playoff seeding over the next five games, they could decide to shut down Bobrovsky for a couple of games to get him ready for the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: No offensive support in defeat

Bobrovsky conceded two goals on 21 shots in Saturday's 3-0 loss to the Senators. The third marker was an empty-netter. Bobrovsky allowed a pair of first-period tallies, one on the power play, in this Atlantic Division matchup. Unfortunately for the veteran netminder, the Panthers weren't able to find the back of the net Saturday -- Anton Forsberg turned in a 40-save shutout, his third of the campaign. The 36-year-old Bobrovsky has lost three straight games and is down to a 31-18-2 record, .906 save percentage and 2.44 GAA over 51 starts in 2024-25. Vitek Vanecek will presumably be in goal for the second half of Florida's back-to-back in Detroit on Sunday.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Allows three goals in loss

Bobrovsky stopped 23 of 26 shots in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Maple Leafs. Bobrovsky has lost consecutive starts in regulation for the first time since Jan. 13-16. He's allowed six goals on 48 shots over his last two outings, so he's not really slumping as much as he's just not getting enough goal support. The 36-year-old netminder has been strong this season with a 31-17-2 record, a 2.45 GAA and a .906 save percentage across 50 starts. The Panthers finish off this road trip with another back-to-back with stops in Ottawa on Saturday and Detroit on Sunday. Look for Bobrovsky and Vitek Vanecek to split those starts.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Concedes three tallies Sunday

Bobrovsky saved 18 of 21 shots on net in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Canadiens. The fourth goal was an empty-netter. While Bobrovsky surrendered three goals before the Canadiens tallied an empty netter in the final two minutes, he only conceded one goal at even strength to Montreal's Nick Suzuki. The other two goals were on the power play. The 36-year-old Bobrovsky now has a record of 31-16-2 with a 2.44 GAA and a .906 save percentage in 49 appearances this season. Sunday's loss was Bobrovsky's first since March 15, which was also against the Canadiens. The veteran netminder has been highly effective in net since the 4 Nations Face-Off with an 8-4-0 record, a 1.75 GAA and a .922 save percentage across 12 starts. If the Panthers don't turn to Vitek Vanecek Tuesday to give Bobrovsky his first game of rest since March 22, he will have the opportunity to bounce back against the Habs on the road.

Bobrovsky is riding a two-game winning streak during which he's posted a 1.44 GAA, .942 save percentage and one shutout. The veteran backstop has already reached the 30-win mark for the third time in the last four years and could still match his 36-win total from 2023-24 -- though he will have to continue seeing the bulk of the starts in the lead-up to the postseason in order to get there.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Holds strong in shootout

Bobrovsky saved 24 of 27 shots on goal in Sunday's 4-3 shootout win against the Penguins. Bobrovsky struggled early in Sunday's contest as he allowed three of the first four goals of the game. After the seven-minute mark in the second period, however, he kept Florida's net spotless throughout the rest of regulation, overtime and three shootout attempts. The 36-year-old netminder is up to a 30-15-2 record with a 2.46 GAA and a .907 save percentage. With Sunday's win, Bobrovsky is the fifth goaltender across the league to reach the 30-win threshold. He has played exceptionally well down the stretch with a 7-2-0 record and a .929 save percentage in his last nine games. He should be a lineup lock in all fantasy formats when his name is called upon for the Panthers. However, the Panthers don't play again until Friday at home versus Utah, capping his potential this week in the fantasy playoffs.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Shines against former club

Bobrovsky turned aside all 25 shots he faced in Thursday's 1-0 overtime win over the Blue Jackets. Locked in a goaltending duel with the man who replaced him in the Columbus crease, Elvis Merzlikins, Bobrovsky simply refused to lose and made some huge saves in regulation before Aleksander Barkov potted the winner on a power play just 29 seconds into OT. It was Bobrovsky's fifth shutout of the season, one back of league leader Connor Hellebuyck, and he's allowed three goals or less in all nine of his starts since play resumed after the 4 Nations Face-Off -- a stretch in which Bob has gone 6-3-0 with a dazzling 1.58 GAA and a .932 save percentage.

Bobrovsky made 23 saves in a 3-2 win over the Maple Leafs on Thursday. Remember that time, not that long ago, that people thought Bobrovsky's game was headed sharply down? That was just a couple seasons ago, and Thursday, Bob notched his 424th career win. That moved Bobrovsky past Tony Esposito into 10th place on the NHL's all-time list. He's 5-1-0 in his last six games with two shutouts and just nine goals allowed. And he's 28-14-2 this season, with a 2.49 GAA and .907 save percentage.
