Pollard rushed the ball nine times for 44 yards in Sunday's 27-17 loss to the Chargers. He added three receptions on three targets for four yards.
Pollard suffered an apparent lower-body injury in the second quarter that caused him to miss a couple series, and the return of Tyjae Spears also cost Pollard some work. The result was Pollard recording his lowest touch and yardage total since Week 3. He should remain a key part of the Tennessee offense, but he's likely to settle into leading a more evenly split backfield moving forward.

Titans' Tony Pollard: Cleared for Week 10
Rotowire
Pollard (foot) doesn't carry an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Chargers after returning to a limited practice Friday.
Fellow RB Tyjae Spears (hamstring) doesn't carry a Week 10 injury designation, either, and thus is set to return from a three-game absence. Pollard, who is coming off a 28-carry, 128-yard effort in a Week 9 overtime win over the Patriots, is on track to remain the Titans' lead back this weekend. The return of Spears should allow the team to ease Pollard's workload to a degree, but presumably not to an extent that would prevent him from maintaining fantasy utility versus Los Angeles.

Titans' Tony Pollard: Back at practice
Rotowire
Pollard (foot) was spotted at practice Friday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Pollard (foot) didn't practice Thursday, but the running back's return to the field a day later suggests that his absence was maintenance-related. Friday's injury report will reveal whether Pollard carries an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Chargers, but at this stage he should be available this weekend.

Titans' Tony Pollard: Doesn't practice Thursday
Rotowire
Pollard (foot) didn't practice Thursday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Pollard was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, so his downgrade in activity a day later is notable. That said, the running back didn't practice ahead of Week 9 action and was able to log an 86 percent snap share in this past Sunday's win over the Patriots, carrying 28 times for 128 yards and adding three catches for 26 yards in the contest. With no reported setbacks, it's plausible that Pollard's DNP on Thursday could be maintenance-related.

Titans' Tony Pollard: Limited to begin Week 10 prep
Rotowire
Pollard (foot) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Both of the Titans' top two running backs are operating with restrictions to begin Week 10 prep, as Tyjae Spears (hamstring) was also a limited participant after missing the team's last three games. Pollard hasn't missed a game this season, and his availability for Sunday's game against the Chargers doesn't appear to be in any danger after he racked up 54 touches en route to 271 scrimmage yards over Tennessee's past two contests. Still, a full practice from Pollard on Thursday or Friday would help put fantasy managers' minds at ease.

Titans' Tony Pollard: Heavy workload against NE
Rotowire
Pollard rushed the ball 28 times for 128 yards in Sunday's 29-17 overtime win against the Patriots. He added three receptions on three targets for 26 yards.
Pollard entered Sunday's game questionable due to a foot injury after failing to practice in any capacity throughout the week. That was hardly apparent in Sunday's win, as he dominated rushing attempts out of the Titans' backfield and was also efficient with the opportunity. He accounted for the team's longest play from scrimmage with a 32-yard rush on Tennessee's first possession, setting up a touchdown on the next play. Overall, four of Pollard's 28 carries went for double-digit gains, and he narrowly missed out on an even bigger performance after having a touchdown nullified by a holding call. He should remain a key playmaker in Tennessee's offense moving forward.

Titans' Tony Pollard: Playing through foot injury
Rotowire
Pollard is active for Sunday's game against the Patriots, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Pollard appeared to be trending toward an absence, as he failed to practice in any capacity throughout the week. However, he tested his foot in pregame warmups and is feeling well enough to suit up. Assuming his foot holds up, he should see a heavy dose of touches considering the ongoing absence of Tyjae Spears (hamstring), though both Julius Chestnut and Joshua Kelley are available to spell Pollard if required.

Titans' Tony Pollard: Trending toward playing Sunday
Rotowire
Pollard will test his injured foot prior to Sunday's game against New England, though the Titans "feel good" about him and "anticipate he will play," Paul Kuharsky of PaulKuharsky.com reports.
Pollard didn't practice at all this week, but he was nonetheless deemed questionable heading into the weekend. The fact that fellow running back Tyjae Spears (hamstring) has already been ruled out for Sunday makes Pollard's status more consequential for Tennessee, though the team did sign RB Joshua Kelley to the active roster off the practice squad Saturday. Julius Chestnut is the only other healthy running back on the roster.

Titans' Tony Pollard: Status up in air for Week 9
Rotowire
Pollard (foot) is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest against the Patriots.
Pollard didn't practice at all this week due to a foot injury, but the Titans are giving him a chance to play Sunday. The reasoning may be that fellow RB Tyjae Spears (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game, leaving Julius Chestnut as the lone healthy running back on the active roster and Joshua Kelley as a candidate to be elevated from the practice squad. Pollard's status will be clarified no later than 90 minutes before a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

Titans' Tony Pollard: Sits out second straight practice
Rotowire
Pollard (foot) didn't participate in Thursday's practice, John Glennon of NashvillePost.com reports.
Pollard's absence from practice for a second straight day due to the foot injury clouds his status for Sunday's game against the Patriots. The Titans will see what, if anything, Pollard is able to do during Friday's session before determining his availability for the Week 9 contest. Pollard has taken on at least 18 touches in each of Tennessee's last four games, but if the foot issue keeps him out against New England or if he's available to take on only a limited workload, Tyjae Spears (hamstring), Julius Chestnut and practice-squad member Joshua Kelley would be candidates to take on more work out of the backfield.

Titans' Tony Pollard: RBs to Start
Rotowire
I started last week with Pollard as a bust alert in this column, but I removed him prior to Sunday, which proved to be the right call. He had a quality stat line against Detroit with 20 carries for 94 yards and three catches for 23 yards on four targets for 14.7 PPR points. He's reached that total in five of seven games this season, and he should have the chance for another quality outing in Week 9 against the Patriots. New England is No. 4 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs, and seven running backs have scored at least 14.1 PPR points against the Patriots this season. In the past three weeks, New England has allowed six total touchdowns to running backs, and Pollard could be a top-10 running back in all leagues, given the matchup.

Titans' Tony Pollard: Misses practice with foot injury
Rotowire
Pollard sat out Wednesday's practice with a foot injury, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
The Titans provided no indication that Pollard was nursing an injury during Sunday's 52-14 loss at Detroit, as he took 24 touches for 117 yards while playing 80 percent of the snaps on offense. Even if the foot injury doesn't keep him from playing Week 9 against New England, Pollard faces a risk of his role being scaled back, as fellow running back Tyjae Spears (hamstring) managed a limited practice Wednesday after missing the past two games.

Titans' Tony Pollard: Bust Alert (Start/Sit)
Rotowire
Pollard has been great for Fantasy managers this season, and he scored at least 15.2 PPR points in four of six games. But he's coming off a down game in Week 7 at Buffalo with only 8.5 PPR points, and Tyjae Spears (hamstring) could return in Week 8 following a one-game absence. Pollard should be considered a low-end No. 2 running back or flex option in Week 8 against the Lions, who are No. 2 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs. Detroit will make stopping Pollard a focal point, especially with Will Levis (shoulder) hurt and DeAndre Hopkins now traded to Kansas City.

Titans' Tony Pollard: Contrarian DFS Play
Rotowire
Pollard's Titans are 10.5-point underdogs on the road against a good Lions run defense. That's while he'll be low-rostered. The reason I'm playing him anyway is that he's averaging more than 20 touches per game in his last three outings, and he's twice shown six-target upside. Aaron Jones and Ken Walker have both topped 20 Fantasy points against this defense, and Pollard should get enough work to join them.

Titans' Tony Pollard: Inefficient against Bills
Rotowire
Pollard rushed the ball 16 times for 61 yards in Sunday's 34-10 loss to the Bills. He added two receptions on six targets for four yards.
As expected, Pollard dominated work out of Tennessee's backfield with Tyjae Spears (hamstring) sidelined, as he accounted for 16 of the 19 carries by running backs. However, he was scripted out of the game in the second half -- he had only three carries across the final two quarters -- and also struggled to get going as a receiver with Mason Rudolph under center. Pollard should continue to get plenty of work in Week 8, but a matchup against Detroit will provide him with another stout defense against the run.

Titans' Tony Pollard: Contrarian DFS Play
Rotowire
A top-12 running back at Pollard's price should never be contrarian. But a road running back whose team is an 8.5-point underdog with an implied total of 16.75 should never be chalk. Pollard has been the lone bright spot in this Titans offense, and the Bills defense has been a run funnel, allowing the second-most Fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. Expect 20-plus touches and 100-plus yards. Hope for a touchdown, too.

Titans' Tony Pollard: Lone bright spot in loss
Rotowire
Pollard rushed 17 times for 93 yards and a touchdown and brought in all three targets for minus-5 yards in the Titans' 20-17 loss to the Colts on Sunday.
On a day when Will Levis threw for under 100 yards, Pollard's production on the ground against the Colts' notoriously poor defense was the one bright spot for Tennessee. The veteran running back also recorded his third touchdown of the campaign on an impressive 23-yard run in the third quarter, helping Pollard to a new season high in rushing yardage. Pollard will next take aim at the Bills' defense in a Week 7 road matchup.

Titans' Tony Pollard: RBs to Start
Rotowire
The Dolphins are No. 5 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs, but they have been awful the past two weeks against James Cook (28.5 PPR points) and Zach Charbonnet (25.7 PPR points). Let's hope that continues against Pollard, who scored at least 15.2 PPR points in each of his first two games. He struggled in Week 3 against Green Bay with just 5.9 PPR points, but this matchup in Miami should get him back on track. And you can also consider Tyjae Spears a sleeper this week and use him as a flex in PPR.

Titans' Tony Pollard: RBs to Start
Rotowire
Pollard has established himself as the top running back in Tennessee, and he has at least 19 total touches in each of the first two games against the Bears and Jets. He's scored at least 15.2 PPR points in each outing, and he should stay hot against the Packers in Week 3. Saquon Barkley (33.2 PPR points) and Jonathan Taylor (15.5 PPR points) have each excelled against Green Bay, with both running backs rushing for at least 103 yards in both outings. Pollard should be considered a top-15 running back in all leagues for Week 3.

Titans' Tony Pollard: Another hefty workload Sunday
Rotowire
Pollard rushed 17 times for 62 yards and secured five of six targets for 40 yards in the Titans' 24-17 loss to the Jets on Sunday.
Pollard once again was the clear lead back for the Titans' ground attack, although the fact backfield mate Tyjae Spears exited the game in the second half with an ankle injury, per Jim Wyatt of the team's official site, certainly helped lock in that standing. Nevertheless, Pollard has been the clear-cut top option through two games when both backs have been healthy, and his involvement as a pass catcher (10 total targets) has been very encouraging. Pollard next takes aim at the Packers' suspect run defense in a Week 3 home matchup.
