Nets' Ben Humrichous: Agrees to Exhibit 10 deal with BKN
Humrichous agreed to an Exhibit 10 deal with the Nets on Wednesday, Jon Chepkevich of DraftExpress.com reports.
Humrichous was an important piece to Illinois' second unit during their Final Four run, and now he'll have an opportunity to make an impression with the Nets at training camp. The 6-foot-9 forward averaged 8.7 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.8 three-pointers per game across three collegiate seasons.

Nets' Tyler Bilodeau: Joins Brooklyn in second round
The Nets selected Bilodeau with the No. 43 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
Though not regarded as a strong defender or rebounder, the 6-foot-7 forward was a dead-eye shooter during his senior season at UCLA in 2025-26, knocking down 46.4 percent of his three-point attempts. He'll add some much-needed floor spacing to Brooklyn's roster, though he may not be in store for many opportunities at the NBA level right away. Per Michael Scotto of USA Today, Bilodeau agreed to a two-way deal with the Nets shortly after being drafted and could end up seeing most of his playing time in the G League during his first season in the professional ranks.

Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Primed for top center role
Sharpe (thumb) is set to function as Brooklyn's starting center in 2026-27 following the trade of Nic Claxton (finger).
The Nets acquired Julius Randle in the exchange, but there's still a clear void at the center position now that Claxton is gone. Brooklyn still has time to reinforce its frontcourt depth via free agency, but for now it appears Sharpe's primary impediment to the top spot at center is Danny Wolf (ankle). Sharpe, a clear winner initially of Brooklyn's early offseason moves from a fantasy perspective, has made nine appearances as a starter since 2024-25, averaging 12.4 points, 9.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.1 blocks in 28.8 minutes per game during that period.

Nets' Danny Wolf: Brooklyn reshuffles frontcourt
Wolf (ankle) is expected to open 2026-27 in a bench role after the Nets acquired Julius Randle ahead of Tuesday's draft.
While Brooklyn did lose Nic Claxton (finger) in the Randle trade, the expectation is that Day'Ron Sharpe is sliding into the top center position next year. Wolf, a 2025 first-rounder, should have a chance to battle for that role in the Las Vegas Summer League as well as during training camp, though Sharpe does possess a veteran's advantage. The Nets also landed Joshua Jefferson near the end of the first round of the 2026 NBA Draft, leaving Wolf to vie with the newcomer as well as Noah Clowney (ankle) for playing time in the frontcourt.

Nets' Noah Clowney: Appears ticketed for bench role
Clowney (ankle) is likely to move into a reserve role after the Nets acquired Julius Randle prior to Tuesday's draft.
Clowney was basically a full-time starter a year ago, coming off the bench just six times across 66 regular-season appearances. Now that Brooklyn has Randle in the fold, however, Clowney figures to open the new campaign as the primary backup power forward. Furthermore, the Nets' selection of Joshua Jefferson near the end of the first round of the 2026 NBA Draft clouds Clowney's fantasy outlook heading into 2026-27.

Nets' Nolan Traore: Could revert back to reserve role
Traore (illness) has another obstacle for minutes in the backcourt after the Nets chose Mikel Brown with the No. 6 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
Traore had a hard time sticking with Brooklyn in the early stages of 2025-26, spending most of his time with the G League's Long Island Nets. His role changed drastically during the second half of the year, however, as the 2025 first-rounder started on effectively a full-time basis from Jan. 29 onward. The Nets have a logjam in the backcourt, featuring Egor Demin (foot), Drake Powell and Ben Saraf along with Brown, so Traore may have to settle for a reserve role to begin 2026-27.

Nets' Ben Saraf: Nets add another guard
Saraf should have more competition for playing time in the backcourt after the Nets selected Mikel Brown with the No. 6 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
Saraf, a 2025 first-round pick, opened his rookie season as a starter before becoming more of a part-time player, bouncing back and forth from the G League throughout the course of the year. It wasn't until the late stages of the regular season that Brooklyn handed him more of a featured role, as the team battled a litany of injuries down the stretch and needed healthy bodies to soak up extra minutes. Saraf could carve out a role as the top backup point guard in 2026-27, but the addition of Brown complicates his path to steady minutes.

Nets' Egor Demin: Lined up for new backcourt partner?
Demin (foot) could have more competition for playmaking opportunities at point guard after the Nets took Mikel Brown with the No. 6 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
Although Brooklyn employs a crowded backcourt, its long-term vision likely involves Demin and Brown coalescing in the guard spots. Demin dealt with plantar fasciitis in his left foot during his rookie season, limiting him to 52 regular-season appearances, but he's still lined up as the Nets' top point guard in 2026-27. Whether or not Brown or perhaps Drake Powell is starting alongside Demin remains to be seen, though.

Nets' Joshua Jefferson: Heading to Brooklyn
The Timberwolves selected Jefferson with the No. 28 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft and traded his rights to the Nets, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
The Nets used the pick they got from Minnesota in the Julius Randle trade to take Jefferson, who isn't the most explosive athlete and still has room to grow as a three-point shooter. However, he's a capable ballhandling wing, a willing passer and projects as a solid NBA role player. He showcased his all-around game during his final season at Iowa State, averaging 16.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.1 triples and 1.6 steals per contest.

Nets' Mikel Brown: Taken by Brooklyn at No. 6
Brown was selected by the Nets with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
Brown profiles as a lead guard but can play off the ball and has plenty of upside for the rebuilding Nets to be excited about. The 20-year-old appeared in just 21 games (19 starts) for Louisville in 2025-26 due to a lingering back injury, finishing the season with averages of 18.2 points, 4.7 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.2 steals while shooting 41.0 percent from the field in 29.2 minutes per game. He has a strong opportunity to carve out a significant role in his rookie campaign, though Brooklyn has plenty of young guards, including Egor Demin (foot), Nolan Traore (illness) and Ben Saraf.

Nets' Julius Randle: Heading to Brooklyn
The Timberwolves traded Randle and the No. 28 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft to the Nets on Monday as part of a three-team deal with the Bulls, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Chicago received Nic Claxton (finger), while Minnesota acquired the 33rd overall pick in this year's draft.
Randle is heading to Brooklyn after spending the last two seasons in Minnesota. The 31-year-old appeared in 79 regular-season contests for the Timberwolves in 2025-26, averaging 21.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.2 blocks. Although Randle's days of averaging a double-double may be behind him, it's reasonable to expect he could be more productive offensively on a roster that is currently lacking consistent scoring options. He's under contract for 2026-27 and holds a player option for 2027-28.
