  • 76ers' David Roddy: Recalled to NBA on Thursday

The 76ers recalled Roddy from the G League's Delaware Blue Coats on Thursday.

Roddy will rejoin the parent club, though his future with the Sixers is unclear due to his 10-day contract ending during the All-Star break. The 23-year-old has appeared in one G League outing for the Blue Coats, during which he amassed 31 points (11-23 FG, 9-16 3Pt, 0-2 FT), eight rebounds, three steals, two assists and two blocks over 40 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Motor City Cruise. Roddy could make a case to fill one of Philadelphia's open two-way spots.

  • 76ers' Jared Butler: Inks standard deal Thursday

The 76ers converted Butler's two-way deal into a standard two-year pact Thursday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Butler will join the club on a standard deal after having been acquired by the Sixers via a trade from Washington last Thursday. The 24-year-old out of Baylor is averaging 10.0 points, 4.7 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 0.7 blocks across 17.3 minutes per game in three outings (one start) with Philadelphia. He has shot 42.3 percent from the field and 22.2 percent from three-point range in that three-game span.

  • 76ers' Jared Butler: Hands out nine assists

Butler racked up eight points (2-9 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 4-5 FT), two rebounds, nine assists and two blocks in 25 minutes during Wednesday's 100-96 loss to Brooklyn.

Butler didn't have a good shooting performance after missing seven of his nine attempts from the floor, but he salvaged his fantasy output by delivering season-high marks in both assists and blocks. Butler started due to the absence of Tyrese Maxey (knee), and he might remain in the starting lineup if Maxey isn't recovered by the time the 76ers play the Celtics on Feb. 20 after the All-Star break.

  • 76ers' Kelly Oubre: Sets new season-high scoring mark

Oubre logged 30 points (10-16 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 8-8 FT), three rebounds and two steals across 39 minutes during Wednesday's 100-96 loss to the Nets.

Oubre established a new season-high scoring mark and continues to play at a high level, as he's been routinely stepping up for the Sixers whenever any of the team's star players haven't been available. Oubre has scored in double digits in all but one of his seven contests this month, averaging 15.4 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.7 steals per game since the beginning of February.

  • 76ers' Quentin Grimes: Explodes for season-high 30 points

Grimes logged 30 points (10-18 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 6-9 FT), nine rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals across 36 minutes during Wednesday's 100-96 loss to the Nets.

Grimes posted a new season-high scoring mark but also made his presence felt in other areas, ending just one rebound shy of a double-double while chipping in with solid contributions in the assists and steals categories. Grimes is averaging 16.8 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.8 dimes per contest in his first four games with the Sixers.

  • 76ers' Jared Butler: Will start vs. Brooklyn

Butler will be in the starting lineup Wednesday against the Nets, Noah Levick of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Butler will join fellow 76ers newcomer Quentin Grimes in the starting lineup Wednesday in Brooklyn. With Tyrese Maxey (knee) ruled out for the matchup against the Nets, the 23-year-old guard, who was recently traded to the team, will get a chance to show Philadelphia what he can do when thrust into a larger role. This will be the first start of the 2024-25 campaign for the Baylor product.

  • 76ers' Guerschon Yabusele: Bumped into starting five

Yabusele is part of the 76ers' starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nets, Noah Levick of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Yabusele will fill in for the resting Joel Embiid on Wednesday, marking the 28-year-old's 27th appearance in the first unit this season. As a starter, Yabusele has averaged 11.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists across 31.2 minutes.

  • 76ers' Justin Edwards: Heads to bench Wednesday

Edwards is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nets, Noah Levick of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Quentin Grimes will get the nod in Philadelphia's starting lineup Wednesday, forcing Edwards to the second unit despite the absence of Tyrese Maxey (knee). Edwards has averaged 7.1 points, 2.8 rebounds, 0.9 assists and 0.7 steals in 20.3 minutes across 15 games off the 76ers' bench this season.

  • 76ers' Quentin Grimes: Joins starting lineup

Grimes is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nets, Noah Levick of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

The short-handed 76ers will give Grimes a chance in the first unit Wednesday. Over 12 games as a starter with the Mavericks this season, Grimes has averaged 14.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.0 steals in 29.4 minutes.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Downgraded to out

Maxey (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Nets, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports.

Maxey was a late addition to the injury report with a right knee contusion and will ultimately miss Philadelphia's final game before the All-Star break. Coach Nick Nurse said Maxey took knee-to-knee contact during Tuesday's loss to Toronto, but the extent of the injury remains unclear. In Maxey's absence, Jared Butler, Ricky Council and Jeff Dowtin are candidates for increased roles.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Questionable Wednesday

Maxey has been listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Nets for an undisclosed reason, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Maxey is coming off arguably his worst performance of the season, finishing with a season-low five points in Tuesday's loss to the Raptors. The 76ers will be shorthanded in the backcourt Wednesday, with Kyle Lowry (hip) and Eric Gordon (wrist) already ruled out. If the up-and-coming guard cannot play against Brooklyn, Philadelphia could turn to Quentin Grimes and Jared Butler to pick up the slack.

  • 76ers' Quentin Grimes: Notches 13 points

Grimes posted 13 points (5-12 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-3 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and two steals across 36 minutes during Tuesday's 106-103 loss to the Raptors.

Grimes appears to be fitting in nicely with his new team. Across three games with the 76ers, Grimes holds averages of 12.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.7 three-pointers. He's likely due for some positive regression with his shot as well, as he hit just 27.8 percent from beyond the arc in that stretch -- he's a career 37.4 percent shooter from deep.

  • 76ers' Kyle Lowry: Out again Wednesday

Lowry (hip) will not play Wednesday against the Nets.

Lowry will miss his second game in a row, but the veteran will have over a week to recover during the All-Star break. Consider him questionable for Feb. 20 against Boston for the time being.

  • 76ers' Eric Gordon: Another absence coming

Gordon (wrist) will not play Wednesday against the Nets.

Gordon will end up missing both games of this back-to-back set after sitting out Tuesday's loss to Toronto. The veteran will have over a week off to recover during the All-Star break, with his next chance to play coming Feb. 20 against the Celtics.

  • 76ers' Joel Embiid: Won't play Wednesday

Embiid (injury management) will not play Wednesday against the Nets.

No surprise here, as Embiid will be held out for maintenance on the second leg of this back-to-back set. During Tuesday's loss to Toronto, Embiid recorded 27 points (8-19 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 10-13 FT), 12 rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal over 38 minutes. Guerschon Yabusele is likely to see the bulk of the center minutes Wednesday with Andre Drummond backing him up.
