Raptors' Davion Mitchell: Solid outing in loss Thursday
Mitchell racked up 12 points (4-6 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six assists and two rebounds across 21 minutes before fouling out of Thursday's 114-104 loss to the Heat.
Mitchell delivered an efficient outing while leading the bench in assists. The 26-year-old has carved out a significant role in the Raptors' rotation this season, and with Scottie Barnes (ankle), Immanuel Quickley (elbow) and Bruce Brown (knee) all sidelined, Mitchell's ability to move the rock will be an important factor. In his last five outings, Mitchell has averaged 5.8 points, 4.0 assists and 2.8 rebounds across 24.2 minutes per contest.

Raptors' Ochai Agbaji: Efficient outing in loss
Agbaji produced 13 points (6-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt), three rebounds and one steal across 30 minutes during Thursday's 114-104 loss to the Heat.
Agbaji delivered an extremely efficient performance Thursday, and he's been able to carve out a sizable role in the rotation with injuries to Immanuel Quickley (elbow), Bruce Brown (knee) and Scottie Barnes (ankle). Agbaji has reached the double-digit mark in points in two of his last five outings, during which he has averaged 8.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists across 27.8 minutes per contest.

Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Stuffs stat sheet in loss
Poeltl closed with 16 points (7-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-3 FT), four rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals over 27 minutes during Thursday's 114-104 loss to Miami.
Poeltl was scratched from the starting lineup due to back spasms only a few minutes before tipoff, but the big man entered the game in the first quarter and didn't look hindered by the injury. Aside from posting a solid stat line, Poeltl also logged 27 minutes compared to Bruno Fernando's two-minute cameo -- and Fernando was the one who replaced him in the starting unit. It seemed like an emergency measure, though, and Poeltl's availability going forward isn't expected to be affected.

Raptors' Gradey Dick: Puts up 22 points Thursday
Dick recorded 22 points (8-19 FG, 3-11 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds and two assists across 31 minutes during Thursday's 114-104 loss to Miami.
Dick surpassed the 20-point mark for the eighth time this season. Even though going 3-for-11 from three-point range isn't exactly eye-popping, the shooting volume will allow Dick to remain relevant in fantasy, especially considering how depleted the Raptors are right now. The second-year guard has scored at least 15 points in three of his last four appearances, so he seems to be trending in the right direction. He's likely to flourish as a solid scoring weapon due to the absence of other key rotation pieces, such as Scottie Barnes (ankle) and Immanuel Quickley (elbow), for the time being.

Raptors' RJ Barrett: Posts triple-double Thursday
Barrett ended Thursday's 114-104 loss to Miami with 13 points (5-18 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, 10 assists and three blocks in 34 minutes.
Barrett had an impressive showing Thursday and posted his second triple-double of the season. However, it's hard to overlook the lack of efficiency with his shot, as the six-year veteran struggled badly from the field. The Raptors are missing Immanuel Quickley (elbow) and Scottie Barnes (ankle), so Barrett will likely remain the team's primary playmaker. He should have an elevated usage rate in the coming games, giving him a high floor in most formats regardless of his shooting or efficiency struggles.

Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Checks in off bench
Poeltl (back) has entered Thursday's game against the Heat, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Poeltl was a late scratch from the starting lineup due to back spasms, but he was able to check in off the bench only a few minutes into the first quarter. The team will likely monitor the big man closely as the game unfolds to determine his workload Thursday evening.

Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Removed from starting lineup
Poeltl is not starting Thursday against the Heat due to back spasms, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Poeltl apparently felt something during warmups and has been downgraded to doubtful, so his chances of seeing the court Thursday have reduced significantly. This means Bruno Fernando will start at center, while Chris Boucher could also see a role off the bench. Poeltl isn't likely to step on the hardwood.

Raptors' Bruno Fernando: Late addition to lineup
Fernando will start over Jakob Poeltl (back spasms) in Thursday's game against the Heat, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Poeltl was a late scratch and has been downgraded to doubtful, meaning his chances of seeing the floor Thursday are very slim. Fernando should see plenty of minutes at center, with Chris Boucher also expected to see an expanded role off the bench.

Raptors' Jonathan Mogbo: Starting vs. Miami
Mogbo is in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Heat, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports.
The Raptors will start the game without a traditional point guard, so RJ Barrett is likely to be the one who orchestrates the offense. Mogbo will add size in the frontcourt alongside Jakob Poeltl. This will be the second career start for the big man, who's averaging 7.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.0 steals per game in his last five appearances off the bench.

Raptors' Bruce Brown: Not ready to debut
Brown (conditioning) won't be available Thursday versus Miami.
Brown is nearing his season debut after completing his recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery, but he still needs more time to get fully ramped up before the Raptors give him the green light to play. After Thursday's contest, the Raptors won't play again until Monday versus Chicago, so Brown could put himself in position to suit up next week if he's able to get in a couple more practices over the weekend.

Raptors' Scottie Barnes: Re-evaluated in one week
The Raptors announced Wednesday that Barnes will be re-evaluated in one week with a right ankle sprain, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports.
Despite a re-evaluation coming up in one week, ESPN's Shams Charania reported Wednesday that Barnes is expected to miss several weeks of action and that's what fantasy managers should be prepared for. Davion Mitchell could see more playmaking responsibility in the meantime, while players such as Ochai Agbaji, Kelly Olynyk, Ja'Kobe Walter and Jamal Shead could see increased roles.

Raptors' Scottie Barnes: Facing multi-week absence
Barnes is expected to miss several weeks after spraining his right ankle in Monday's 113-108 loss to the Knicks, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Toronto has yet to provide an update on the results of the MRI that Barnes underwent Tuesday, but the projected multi-week recovery timeline provided by Sharania suggests that the forward is dealing with at least a moderate ankle sprain. Barnes had been seeing most of his playing time at point guard of late while Immanuel Quickley (elbow) has been out indefinitely, but Davion Mitchell could now be on track to step in as Toronto's primary facilitator until one of Barnes or Quickley return. The absence of Barnes could also open up some extra minutes for players such as Ochai Agbaji, Kelly Olynyk, Ja'Kobe Walter and Jamal Shead.

Raptors' A.J. Lawson: Joining Raptors on two-way deal
The Raptors signed Lawson to a two-way contract Tuesday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
Lawson will join Toronto on its final two-way pact after appearing in 11 G League Tip-Off Tournament outings for the Long Island Nets this season. During those 11 appearances, he averaged 24.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 steals across 35.1 minutes per contest. The 6-foot-6 shooting guard will bring size, speed and scoring to the squad's backcourt, though he'll likely spend the majority of his time with the club's G League affiliate, Raptors 905. However, Lawson could see playing time right away if Immanuel Quickley (elbow) and Scottie Barnes (ankle) are sidelined for an extended period. The 24-year-old spent the 2023-24 campaign on a two-way pact with Dallas, during which he averaged 3.2 points and 1.2 rebounds across 7.4 minutes per game in 42 regular-season appearances. Lawson has shot 46.1 percent from the field and 30.7 percent from three-point range across 57 regular-season games over his two-year NBA career.

Raptors' Immanuel Quickley: Remains without timetable
Imaging on Quickley's left elbow Tuesday showed that he's progressing, but he remains without a return timetable, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports.
Quickley hasn't been cleared to return to practice yet, and it sounds like the Raptors are going to proceed with caution. Quickley was diagnosed with a partial UCL tear in his left elbow in mid-November, and the most he's been able to do is individual drills since then.

Raptors' Scottie Barnes: Set for more imaging on ankle
Barnes is scheduled to undergo further imaging on his sprained right ankle Tuesday, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports.
Barnes exited Monday's 113-108 loss to the Knicks midway through the third quarter, when he stepped awkwardly on New York's Karl-Anthony Towns while attempting to block a shot. The 23-year-old required assistance off the court and was unable to put any weight on his right foot, though the Raptors received some good news when initial X-rays after the game revealed no fracture. The Raptors are labeling Barnes' injury as a sprain, but the severity of the injury won't be known until his MRI results are in. Barnes did not practice Tuesday and was spotted in a walking boot, so fantasy managers should still be preparing for him to sit out Thursday's game in Miami -- and likely additional games after that -- even if the MRI brings favorable results.

Raptors' Ja'Kobe Walter: Scores career-high 19 points
Walter accumulated 19 points (6-12 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 4-5 FT), one rebound and two assists over 22 minutes during Monday's 113-108 loss to New York.
Walter stepped his game up Monday and showed he might be ready to handle a more consistent role on offense, especially considering the absences of Immanuel Quickley (elbow) and Scottie Barnes (ankle). The 19-point output was a career-high mark for the former Baylor standout, who could jump into the starting lineup soon given the Raptors' lack of depth in the backcourt.

Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Posts another double-double
Poeltl accumulated 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-2 FT), 12 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal in 33 minutes during Monday's 113-108 loss to New York.
Poeltl didn't have his best shooting performance -- according to his recent standards -- but he still provided enough offense to deliver his fourth double-double across his last five appearances. The veteran big man continues to play at a high level on both ends of the court and is averaging 15.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.1 steals per game over his last 10 appearances.

Raptors' RJ Barrett: Goes for 30 points Monday
Barrett recorded 30 points (13-24 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, four assists and one steal in 37 minutes during Monday's 113-108 loss to the Knicks.
Barrett reached the 30-point mark for the seventh time this season, and despite finishing just two boards shy of a double-double against his former team, the Raptors still came up short on a night where they also lost Scottie Barnes to an ankle injury. The absence of Barnes could result in a more significant role on offense for Barrett, who's averaging 26.2 points per game since the beginning of December.
