McCarthy went 1-for-5 with an RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's 7-5 win over Boston.

McCarthy went 1-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 10-8 win over the Marlins.
McCarthy erased an early Miami lead with a two-run homer in the third inning. It was the second time in three games that the outfielder has gone deep and tied his career-mark of eight in a season. With Alek Thomas (oblique) recently optioned to the minors, McCarthy should have a clear path to an everyday role.
