  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Drives in four at Fenway

Guerrero went 2-for-5 with two doubles, a run scored and four RBI in Tuesday's 9-4 win over the Red Sox.

He did get charged with two errors, but Guerrero made up for his fielding gaffes with two-run doubles in the third and fourth innings. The first baseman is red hot, slashing .349/.364/.628 over the last 10 games with three doubles, three homers and 10 RBI.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Stays hot Monday

Guerrero went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run and a double in Monday's 7-6 loss to Boston.

Guerrero knocked a three-run blast to cap off Toronto's five-run seventh inning. The 471-foot blast traveled clear over the Draft Kings sign above the Green Monster and is the longest of his career. He hit (.235) through 14 games to begin the month but has since gone 12-for-34 (.353) with three homers over his last eight contests. Those three homers have come in his last four games after he hit just three over his previous 39 appearances. Guerrero is slashing .286/.368/.429 with 36 RBI and 23 extra-base hits.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Goes deep again Sunday

Guerrero went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and two runs scored in Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Guardians.

Guerrero launched a two-run home run in the top of first inning off Triston McKenzie, giving Toronto an early lead. He later singled and came around to score on a base knock by Addison Barger in the top of the fifth. The homer was his ninth of the season and second of the three-game series with Cleveland. Guerrero has now notched at least one hit in six of his last eight contests, batting .294 with two home runs, three RBI and four runs scored over that stretch.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Provides only offense Friday

Guerrero went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's loss to the Guardians.

The first baseman took Carlos Carrasco deep in the fourth inning, but it was all the offense the Blue Jays could muster in a 7-1 loss. Guerrero hadn't gone yard since June 6, and while he continues to scald the ball -- he's in the 99th percentile in average exit velocity and hard-hit rate -- a 5.9 degree average launch angle is costing him power. On the season, he's batting .281 with a career-low .406 SLG, eight homers and 31 RBI in 75 games.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Receiving day off

Guerrero is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.

With Daniel Vogelbach serving as Toronto's designated hitter and with Spencer Horwitz getting the nod at first base, Guerrero will hit the bench for the first time all season in what appears to be routine maintenance. Guerrero went hitless in nine at-bats over his first two games of the series to bring his batting average down to .282 for the season.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Crushes seventh homer

Guerrero went 2-for-3 with a walk and a three-run home run in Thursday's win over the Orioles.

The first baseman opened the scoring by launching a cutter from Cade Povich over the right-field fence in the third inning. Guerrero has gone yard twice in the last four games, giving him seven homers on the year. Over the last 15 contests he's slashing .345/.433/.552.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Launches sixth homer

Guerrero went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's loss to the Orioles.

The 25-year-old crushed a Grayson Rodriguez slider in the fourth inning, sending it over the fence in straightaway center field with an exit velocity of 109.2 mph. Guerrero is beginning to flash a little more power -- over his last 11 games, he has three doubles and two of his six homers on the year -- but he's been making plenty of hard contact, slashing .367/.452/.495 since the beginning of May with 16 RBI and 16 runs in 28 contests.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Draws first start at 3B since 2019

Guerrero will start at third base and bat third in Sunday's game against the Pirates.

According to Keegan Matheson of MLB.com, Guerrero has been taking grounders at third base in pregame workouts throughout the season, but he was believed to be more of an emergency option at the position after he had seen the bulk of his starts at first base or designated hitter over the past four-plus seasons. Regular third baseman Isiah Kiner-Falefa is healthy, however, and will get the start at second base Sunday, so Guerrero's inclusion at the hot corner could signal that the Blue Jays may be willing to give him more regular work at the position moving forward. Guerrero will be starting at third base Sunday for the first time since Sept. 27, 2019, with all four innings that he's played at the position since then coming as a replacement for a starter during the 2021 and 2022 seasons.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: On base three times in loss

Guerrero went 2-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 8-1 loss to the Pirates.

The first baseman continues to make consistent hard contact. Guerrero hasn't gone two straight games without a hit since late April, and over his last 30 contests he's slashing .368/.452/.479. He's still not providing the power expected of him and has just seven doubles and two homers during that stretch, and while he's in the 98th percentile in average exit velocity at 94.2 mph and in the 99th percentile in hard-hit rate this season, an average launch angle of 6.1 degrees -- down from 10.5 degrees last year -- is limiting his fantasy production.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Four hits Sunday

Guerrero went 4-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 14-11 defeat to the Tigers.

Guerrero stayed hot Sunday, recording his fifth multi-hit game over his last 10 contests. During that span, Guerrero is batting a torrid .410 with six RBI and seven runs scored. The 25-year-old has recovered from his slow start to the season as his average now sits above .300 on the year.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: On base three times Friday

Guerrero went 2-for-3 with a walk and a double in Friday's loss to the Tigers.

It marks the fourth time in the last seven games that Guerrero has banged out multiple hits. The first baseman has put a sluggish start to the season behind him, and over the last month he's slashing .382/.455/.517 in 23 games with two homers, a steal, 13 runs and 14 RBI.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Double, homer in win

Guerrero went 2-for-5 with a double, a two-run home run and two runs scored in Thursday's win over the Tigers.

Guerrero went hitless in his first three at-bats before sending Danny Jansen to third with a double in the top of the eighth inning. The first baseman wasn't done there, however, adding a two-run homer in the following frame as the Blue Jays blew out the Tigers 9-1. It marked Guerrero's seventh multi-hit game this month, and he's batting .371 in May with two homers, 13 RBI and 12 runs scored. The long ball was his first since May 5 against the Nationals.
