Giants' Blake Snell: Dominant vs. Orioles
Snell (4-3) earned the win Tuesday over Baltimore, allowing just one hit and two walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out 12.
Snell was superb Tuesday, allowing a lone single in the second inning while racking up double-digit strikeouts for the fourth time this year. The 31-year-old Snell has held opponents to two runs or fewer in 12 of his last 13 starts, posting a stellar 1.33 ERA in that span (74.1 innings). His ERA is down to 3.31 across 98 innings this season with a 1.08 WHIP and 136:43 K:BB. Snell's currently in line for a road start this weekend against the Royals.

Giants' Blake Snell: Fans eight in third win
Snell (3-3) picked up the win over the Brewers on Wednesday, allowing one run on four hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out eight.
Both walks and three of the four hits against Snell in the contest came over the first three innings. The lefty would then allow just one batter to reach over his final two frames while generating 17 swinging strikes on the night. The win was Snell's first since Aug. 7 against Washington, and he's now recorded eight or more strikeouts in eight of his last nine outings (excluding his previous start in which he was pulled after just one inning). He also hasn't allowed more than three runs in any outing since June 2 against the Yankees.

Giants' Blake Snell: Pulled after one inning
Snell did not factor into the decision Thursday, allowing two runs (one earned) on two hits and two walks over one inning against the Diamondbacks. He struck out two.
Snell needed 42 pitches to escape the first inning thanks to a combination of a lack of control along with a lack of help from his defense. Snell was not hit hard, with only one ball leaving the infield but was done in by an infield single, a couple of walks, a throwing error that led to one run and a passed ball on a strikeout that was to have represented the third out and instead resulted in a second run crossing the plate. Despite only allowing one earned run, Snell's outing was complete following the inning. He entered the game with a 1.30 ERA over his previous 10 appearances while having struck out 10 or more four times while allowing one run or less during seven of those performances. He's next slated to take the hill when the Giants head to Milwaukee to take on the Brewers.

Giants' Blake Snell: Sharp in no-decision
Snell allowed a run on four hits and a walk while striking out eight over seven innings in a no-decision versus the Marlins on Friday.
After a mixed bag in Seattle for his last start -- three hitless innings with two runs allowed on six walks -- Snell was back in control Friday. The southpaw has earned a quality start in eight of his last nine outings, though this was just the third time in that span he's limited opponents to one walk or fewer. Snell has been nearly untouchable since the start of July and now has a 3.56 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 114:37 K:BB through 86 innings over 16 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start at home versus the Diamondbacks.

Giants' Blake Snell: Controls deserts him Saturday
Snell came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Mariners, giving up two runs over three no-hit innings. He walked six and struck out five.
The southpaw needed 74 pitches (42 strikes) to record only nine outs in his shortest outing since April 8. Snell hasn't walked more than three batters in a start since May 22 and he hadn't struck out fewer than eight since July 22, with Saturday's poor performance snapping a seven-game quality start streak in which he'd posted a 1.14 ERA, 0.68 WHIP and 67:13 K:BB in 47.1 innings. Snell will look to shake this one off in his next trip to the mound, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Marlins.
