Wolf will start Calgary's preseason finale before the Flames open their regular season schedule on Thursday. Nylander signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Flames on Friday, per Pat Steinberg of QR Calgary 770 AM.
Nylander has been participating in Calgary's training camp on a tryout basis. Although he's impressed the Flames enough to earn a contract, it still remains to be seen if he'll make Calgary's Opening Night roster. Given that his new contract is a two-way agreement, it wouldn't be shocking if the Flames opt to send him to the minors. Stromgren was placed on waivers by the Flames on Friday for the purpose of assignment to AHL Calgary.
Stromgren made 66 regular-season appearances with the Flames' AHL affiliate last year and recorded 11 goals and 36 assists. Frost has been working as Calgary's No. 1 center to begin training camp, Chris Wahl of the Flames' official site reported Saturday.
Frost had a decent season offensively in 2025-26, as he put up 22 goals and 43 points over 82 appearances, which marked the first time he played in every regular-season game during his career. The 27-year-old averaged just 15:30 of ice time per game last year, but if he stays in the top-line center role, that number will certainly increase. While Frost could be an interesting flier in deeper formats, his fantasy value could be capped by playing on what is expected to be one the NHL's weaker teams.
