Jets' Luke Schenn: Lends helper in win
Schenn notched an assist, three hits and three blocked shots in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Golden Knights.
Schenn was back in the lineup after a one-game absence due to an undisclosed injury. Considering how he was playing physical Thursday, he seems to be no worse for wear. The 35-year-old is up to seven points, 70 shots on net, 280 hits, 98 blocked shots, 45 PIM and a minus-5 rating over 71 appearances between the Jets and the Predators this season. As long as he stays healthy, he looks poised to continue playing a second-pairing role for the Jets until Neal Pionk (lower body) can return.

Jets' Luke Schenn: Slated to play
Schenn (undisclosed) took warmups in his usual spot on the second pairing, indicating he'll be in the lineup Thursday versus the Golden Knights, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports.
Schenn was officially a game-time decision after missing Tuesday's contest while dealing with stiffness. The defenseman will bump Haydn Fleury back out of the lineup for Thursday's game.

Jets' Luke Schenn: Game-time decision Thursday
Schenn (undisclosed) will be a game-time call ahead of Thursday's matchup with Vegas, Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press reports.
Schenn remains mired in a 65-game goal drought dating back to Oct. 19 versus Detroit when he was still with Nashville. Since being flipped at the trade deadline, the veteran blueliner hasn't been any more productive, generating a lone assist in nine appearances for the Jets. Haydn Fleury figures to remain on the third pairing as long as Schenn is on the shelf.

Jets' Luke Schenn: Not playing Tuesday
Schenn (undisclosed) won't play Tuesday versus the Kings, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports.
Schenn is dealing with some stiffness that occurred during Tuesday's morning skate. The Jets are opting to play it cautious, with Haydn Fleury set to draw into the lineup in Schenn's absence. The Jets' next game is Thursday in Vegas.

Jets' Luke Schenn: Game-time decision
Schenn (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision against the Kings on Tuesday, according to Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press.
Schenn left Tuesday's morning skate early and will be evaluated before puck drop. He has generated one goal, five assists, 70 shots on net, 95 blocked shots and 277 hits in 70 games between Winnipeg and Nashville this season. If Schenn can't play against the Kings, Haydn Fleury or Ville Heinola could be in the lineup.

Jets' Luke Schenn: First point with new team
Schenn notched an assist, eight hits and two blocked shots in Tuesday's 6-2 loss to the Canucks.
The 35-year-old defenseman, a former Canuck, was able to get his first point as a Jet against one of his old teams. This was Schenn's first helper in four games for Winnipeg after a pair of trades sent him from the Predators to the Penguins and then the Jets. This season, the heavy-hitting blueliner has just six points to go with 67 shots on net, 252 hits, 84 blocked shots, 41 PIM and a minus-5 rating over 65 appearances.

Jets' Luke Schenn: Dealt to Winnipeg
The Jets acquired Schenn from Pittsburgh on Friday in exchange for a second and fourth-round pick, according to Chris Johnston of The Athletic.
Schenn was dealt to Pittsburgh from Nashville on Wednesday, but he never played for the Penguins. The tough defensive defenseman has only one goal and four assists across 61 appearances with the Predators, managing 76 blocked shots and a whopping 228 hits. He will likely be a third-pairing defenseman who will add plenty of physicality to the Jets lineup.

Penguins' Luke Schenn: Heading for Pittsburgh
Schenn and Thomas Novak were traded to the Penguins from the Predators on Wednesday in exchange for Michael Bunting and a 2026 fourth-round pick, Pierre LeBrun of TSN reports.
Schenn will take the roster spot of Vincent Desharnais, who was dealt to the Sharks on Wednesday. The 35-year-old Schenn is a veteran blueliner who will add shutdown skills and significant physicality in a bottom-four role for the Penguins. He has just five points with 228 hits, 76 blocked shots and 41 PIM over 61 appearances this season. Most fantasy managers won't be impacted by this move, as Schenn's primary contributions are not dependent on the quality of the team he plays for at any given time.

Predators' Luke Schenn: Ends point drought
Schenn recorded an assist and two hits in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Avalanche.
Schenn snapped an eight-game point drought with the helper. The 35-year-old blueliner could see steadier top-four minutes since Jeremy Lauzon (lower body) and Adam Wilsby (upper body) are done for the season. Schenn won't bolster a fantasy roster's offense -- he has just five points through 55 appearances, but he's added 202 hits, 70 blocked shots, 58 shots on net, 41 PIM and a minus-7 rating in 2024-25.

Predators' Luke Schenn: Dishes out pain Saturday
Schenn notched 11 hits, three blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 6-4 win over the Sabres.
His point drought is up to eight games, but Schenn dished out three more hits than he had in any other appearance this season. The 35-year-old blueliner is at an even 200 hits through 54 contests, ranking fifth in the league. He's added four points, 58 shots on net, 69 blocked shots, 41 PIM and a minus-8 rating.

Predators' Luke Schenn: Helper, fight in win
Schenn logged an assist, two hits and seven PIM in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Wild.
Schenn snapped an 11-game point drought when he helped out on a Colton Sissons tally in the first period. Schenn racked up 39 hits and 12 blocked shots during his scoring slump. His physicality is his calling card, but it may not overcome his total lack of offense in 2024-25. The defenseman has three points, 169 hits, 59 blocked shots, 36 PIM, 53 shots on net and a minus-10 rating through 45 appearances in a bottom-four role.

Predators' Luke Schenn: Gets on scoresheet with assist
Schenn posted an assist, two hits and three blocked shots in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Penguins.
The helper was Schenn's 200th career point, which isn't bad considering his role as a physical shutdown defenseman. He ended a 27-game point drought with the assist, which was just his second point through 33 contests. Schenn has done his usual work elsewhere, contributing 128 hits, 46 blocked shots, 27 PIM and 41 shots on net while occupying a bottom-four role.

Predators' Luke Schenn: Not generating offense
Schenn was held without a point for the 16th straight game in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Jets.
Schenn isn't known for putting up big numbers on offense, so this drought isn't too surprising. He's still been an elite hitter so far, as his 79 hits through 21 contests are tied for fifth-most in the league. Schenn has added a goal, 29 blocked shots, 22 PIM, 21 shots on net and a minus-7 rating in a bottom-four role.

Predators' Luke Schenn: Good to go Friday
Schenn (illness) will play Friday in Game 6 against Vancouver, Nick Kieser of 102.5 ESPN Nashville reports.
Schenn will return after missing Game 5 on Tuesday. The veteran blueliner has averaged 15:03 of ice time with 12 hits through four games this series. He'll skate in a second-pairing role Friday.

Predators' Luke Schenn: Remains day-to-day
Schenn (illness) is considered day-to-day ahead of Game 6 against the Canucks on Friday, Alex Daugherty of The Tennessean reports.
Schenn's status may not be determined until closer to puck drop Friday but the Preds recalled Kevin Gravel from AHL Milwaukee just in case. The 34-year-old Schenn isn't exactly an offensive dynamo considering he is goalless in his last 31 contests during which he generated a lone helper.

Predators' Luke Schenn: Out due to illness
Schenn (illness) will miss Tuesday's Game 5 versus the Canucks.
Schenn was a surprise scratch before warmups, and this explains why. Tyson Barrie will enter the lineup in a bottom-four role to cover for Schenn's absence. If the Predators lose Tuesday, Schenn will have to wait until next season to play again.

Predators' Luke Schenn: Racking up hits
Schenn had a shot on goal and six hits in Saturday's 1-0 win over the Red Wings.
Schenn still doesn't score much -- he has just six points on the season and hasn't cracked the scoresheet in 16 games. However, he's a pretty good source of peripheral stats with 168 hits (good for fifth on the team) and 63 blocked shots (sixth), along with a plus-3 rating. Just don't expect Schenn to come anywhere near the 22 points he posted last season.
