Will Levis: Waived by Titans
Levis was waived by the Titans on Sunday, Tom Pelissero of The Ringer reports.
Levis failed to win the backup quarterback spot over Mitchell Trubisky (biceps). Levis, a 2023 second-round pick of the Titans, started 21 regular-season games across his first two campaigns before missing all of 2025 due to a shoulder injury. Levis played throughout the recently concluded preseason, showing that he has regained health. He'll likely have to settle for a practice-squad spot somewhere, though it's possible a team that's unhappy with its current backup quarterback puts in a claim for Levis.

Titans' Will Levis: Solid showing to close preseason
Levis went 14-for-22 for 143 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions, rushed twice for one yard and fumbled once but recovered in the Titans' 24-15 preseason loss to the Bears on Saturday.
Levis drew the start and played the entire first half, leading the Titans to nine points in that span via three field goals with the help of a pair of double-digit-play drives. The 2023 second-round pick finished the preseason having completed 21 of 39 pass attempts for 200 yards without any touchdowns or interceptions, adding 10 carries for 38 yards. With Mitchell Trubisky sidelined with a biceps injury Saturday, Levis seemingly took advantage of his extended opportunity, but it remains to be seen whether it was enough to secure him the No. 2 quarterback job behind Cam Ward.

Titans' Will Levis: Competing for backup role
Levis is set to compete with Mitchell Trubisky for the backup quarterback role, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
Trubisky is set to begin the season as the backup, but Coach Robert Saleh stated Tuesday that Levis will have the opportunity to win the job. Levis' last opportunity as a starter was in 2024, when he played 12 regular-season games, producing 191 completions (63.1 percent completion rate) for 2,091 passing yards and 13 touchdowns to 12 interceptions.

Titans' Will Levis: Participating in OTAs
Levis (shoulder) is participating in OTAs this week, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
Levis missed all of last season after undergoing shoulder surgery last summer. With Cam Ward locked in atop the depth chart and Mitchell Trubisky signed earlier this offseason to serve as the veteran QB2, it's unclear what Levis' future looks like in Tennessee. The team could look to trade him ahead of Week 1 if he's able to produce some quality tape during the preseason.
