Drohan allowed three runs on three hits and three walks while striking out five over 5.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Dodgers on Thursday.
Given the difficulty of the opponent, this was a fair performance for Drohan, who threw 53 of 85 pitches for strikes. He's worked into the sixth inning in seven of his last eight outings, but he's given up at least three runs in six of those games. On the year, he has a 3.94 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 98:31 K:BB through 98.1 innings over 24 games (14 starts). Drohan looks set to have a starting role as long as the Brewers stick with a six-man rotation, and his next outing is projected to be at home versus the Mariners.

Drohan didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 8-6 loss to the Twins, giving up six earned runs on nine hits and four walks while striking out four batters across five innings.
Drohan made it through the first two innings unscathed while the Brewers' offense gave him a 4-0 lead to work with, but things quickly began to fall apart after that point. The left-hander walked Ryan Jeffers before giving up a two-run homer to Josh Bell in the third inning, and he allowed the Twins to tie the game in the fourth, courtesy of Kaelen Culpepper's first MLB home run and an RBI double from Austin Martin. Minnesota plated two more runs against Drohan in the fifth, but Milwaukee's offense immediately responded with two runs of its own to prevent him from taking the loss. The 27-year-old has now given up five or more runs in two of his last three starts and carries a 6.26 ERA across 23 innings since the All-Star break. Assuming the Brewers continue with a six-man rotation, Drohan is lined up to make his next start on the road against the Dodgers on Thursday.

The left-hander was originally scheduled to start Wednesday in San Francisco before having his start pushed back, and he excelled with the extra time off. Drohan delivered his fifth quality start of the campaign and has been providing Milwaukee with consistent length recently, as he's covered at least six frames in each of his past five starts. He'll carry a 3.48 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 89:24 K:BB across 88 innings into an expected matchup with the Pirates next week.

Drohan has been scratched from his scheduled outing Wednesday in San Francisco, as Milwaukee will call up Thomas Pannone from Triple-A Nashville to start the series finale, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
The Brewers haven't revealed whether an injury or illness factored into the decision to push Drohan off the start, or if the team simply wanted to build in extra rest for the southpaw and the other four members of the rotation. In any case, those intending to use Drohan in DFS or activating him in season-long leagues with daily lineup moves should make alternative plans. Drohan hit six innings in each of his last four starts and went 2-2 with a 4.44 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 23:5 K:BB.

Drohan is slated to make his next start in Friday's series opener against the Angels in Anaheim, Hunter Baumgardt of Fox Sports 920 Milwaukee reports.
Drohan had been lined up for his 12th start of the season Wednesday in San Francisco, but the Brewers instead decided to call up Thomas Pannone from Triple-A Nashville to make a spot start, which will build in extra rest for all five members of the rotation. The southpaw will miss out on a start in one of baseball's more pitcher-friendly venues in Oracle Park but should still make for a quality option in fantasy lineups this week while taking on an Angels squad that has posted a league-high 25.9 percent strikeout rate against lefties this season.
Drohan (5-4) took the loss Friday as the Brewers fell 5-2 to the Rockies, giving up five runs on six hits and two walks over six-plus innings. He struck out six.
While he was able to keep the ball in the park, three of the six hits off Drohan went for extra bases, helping to put Milwaukee in an early hole the offense couldn't climb out of. It was the first time all season that the southpaw had been tagged for more than four runs in an outing, and while Drohan has lasted at least six innings in four straight starts, his 4.44 ERA during that span is a little less impressive than his 1.11 WHIP and 23:5 K:BB over 24.1 innings. He'll look to bounce back in his next trip to the mound, which is set to come on the road next week in San Francisco.

Other than enduring a three-run second inning by the Marlins, Drohan fared quite well once again Saturday. The 27-year-old left-hander established a career high in strikeouts, notably punching out the side in the fifth frame, and he also submitted his third straight quality start. Drohan is set to take a strong 3.20 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 76:21 K:BB over 76 innings into a favorable home matchup against the lowly Rockies.

Since entering the rotation June 1, the southpaw has posted a 3.22 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 33:12 K:BB across 36.1 innings over seven starts. The 27-year-old rookie is tentatively lined up to make his final start before the All-Star break on the road Saturday against the Pirates.

He'll likely return to the bullpen when Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) is ready to come off the IL, but Drohan could get another turn through the rotation next week in Cincinnati.
