Top Riley Lees News

  • Riley Lees: Time up in Cincinnati

The Bengals waived Lees on Monday.

Lees linked with the Bengals back in May after going undrafted out of Northwestern, but he will now need to search for a depth role elsewhere. In college, Lees did his damage working almost exclusively out of the slot.

  • Bengals' Riley Lees: Set to return quickly

Lees passed his physical and will be available to practice when the team's training camp opens Wednesday, Jay Morrison of The Athletic reports.

Lees was on the PUP list with a hamstring injury, though the issue was not considered serious. As it turns out, he won't miss any practice time. Lees will have a very difficult time making the roster after joining the Bengals as an undrafted free agent in May.

  • Bengals' Riley Lees: Labeled day-to-day

Lees (hamstring) is considered day-to-day, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Lees is currently on the PUP list, but it sounds like he'll be healthy enough to resume practicing before long. The rookie undrafted free agent will need all the help he can get, as Lees is fighting an uphill battle to secure a spot on the Bengals' roster.

  • Bengals' Riley Lees: Placed on PUP list

Lees (undisclosed) was placed on the preseason PUP list Sunday.

Lees signed with Cincinnati in the spring as UDFA, and the specifics of the injury are unknown. The rookie wideout would miss at least the first six games of the season if he remains on the PUP list for the entirety of the preseason.
