Nuggets' Jalen Pickett: Healthy for preseason
Pickett (groin) subbed into Friday's preseason opener against the Celtics with 4:27 remaining in the third quarter.
Pickett dealt with left groin soreness during the Summer League which held him out of the squad's final matchup. However, the 24-year-old is back in game action for the preseason and will likely compete for a spot at the end of the rotation during the regular season. Pickett averaged 1.6 points across 4.5 minutes per game in 27 regular-season appearances during his rookie season last year.

Nuggets' Jalen Pickett: Stuffs stat sheet
Pickett tallied 12 points (6-9 FG, 0-1 3PT, 0-2 FT), six rebounds, eight assists and three blocks over 31 minutes of Wednesday's 96-91 Summer League loss to the Jazz.
Pickett showed off his versatility Wednesday, finishing with a team-high eight assists while connecting on 66.7 percent of his field goal attempts. Nuggets' Jalen Pickett: Drafted with No. 32 pick by Nuggets
Pickett was selected by Denver with the No. 32 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.
Coming off the franchise's first NBA Championship, Denver acquired an NBA-ready player in Pickett. He plays an unusual brand of basketball, operating at his best with his back to the basket, but he showcased an impressive array of skills, shooting 63/37/76 while dishing out a Big Ten-best 6.6 assists per game last season for Penn State. Though he enters the league at 23 years old, Pickett is a high-motor, high-IQ player who can cause matchup troubles on both ends of the floor.
