    Sabres' Tyson Kozak: Heads to Rochester

    Kozak (hip) was sent to AHL Rochester on Friday, per Heather Engel of NHL.com.

    Sending Kozak to the minors suggests he's recovered from his hip strain, which cost him the final eight games of Buffalo's campaign. He finished the NHL regular season with three goals and five points across 21 appearances with the Sabres. He also has eight goals, 14 points and 37 PIM in 31 outings with Rochester in 2024-25.

    Ostlund was assigned to AHL Rochester on Friday, Heather Engel of NHL.com reports.

    Ostlund spent the last few weeks of the regular season with the Sabres, and he recorded three blocked shots, two PIM and a hit while averaging 10:33 of ice time. Now that the NHL regular season has concluded, Ostlund will head to the minors to contribute during the Calder Cup Playoffs.

    Sabres' Isak Rosen: Returns to minors

    Rosen was sent to AHL Rochester on Friday, Heather Engel of NHL.com reports.

    The Sabres' season is complete, so Rosen might as well play for the minor-league club. He had an assist in eight appearances with Buffalo in 2024-25. He's also collected 28 goals and 55 points across 60 outings with Rochester this campaign.

    Sabres' Jiri Kulich: Heads to AHL

    Kulich was reassigned to AHL Rochester on Friday, per Heather Engel of NHL.com.

    Kulich had 15 goals and 24 points across 62 appearances with Buffalo in his rookie campaign. The regular season is over, and the Sabres didn't make the playoffs, so the 21-year-old will gain additional experience in the minors.

    Flames' Dryden Hunt: Goes on waivers

    Hunt was placed on waivers Friday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.

    The move was made to get Hunt extra playing time with AHL Calgary as they are in the playoffs. Hunt is expected to pass through waivers, allowing him to suit up in AHL playoff action. Hunt had three assists in five NHL games this season, including a pair of helpers Thursday in a 5-1 win over the Kings.

    Canucks' Filip Chytil: Feels good heading into offseason

    Chytil (concussion) feels 100 percent going into the offseason, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports Friday.

    Chytil missed the final 16 outings of the Canucks' campaign due to the concussion. He had 13 goals and 26 points across 56 outings between the Rangers and Vancouver in 2024-25. Chytil has completed the second season of his four-year, $17.75 million contract, which runs through 2026-27. He'll likely start next season serving in a middle-six capacity.

  • Flames' Hunter Brzustewicz: Sent back down

    Brzustewicz was assigned to AHL Calgary on Friday.

    Brzustewicz made his NHL debut Thursday against the Kings and recorded a hit, two PIM and a plus-2 rating while being held pointless in 18:23 of ice time. However, he'll head back to the minors to help the Wranglers in the Calder Cup Playoffs.

    Flames' Sam Morton: Sent to AHL

    Morton was reassigned to AHL Calgary on Friday.

    Morton made his NHL debut Thursday and scored the game winning goal in a 5-1 win over Los Angeles. He will gain valuable experience playing in the AHL playoffs and that could bode well for the pending RFA.

  • Golden Knights' Zach Whitecloud: On ice for practice Friday

    Whitecloud (rest) participated in Friday's practice session, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports, indicating that he'll be available for Sunday's Game 1 against the Wild.

    Whitecloud sat out Wednesday's regular-season finale against Vancouver due to rest purposes, but he'll unsurprisingly be back in action for the start of the playoffs. He recorded four goals, nine assists, 129 hits, 105 blocked shots and 32 PIM while averaging 17:31 of ice time over 74 appearances during the regular season.

    Golden Knights' Mark Stone: Expected to return for Game 1

    Stone (rest) is slated to return for Game 1 of Vegas' first-round series against Minnesota on Sunday, per Jesse Granger of The Athletic.

    Stone skipped the final two games of the regular season so that he'd be rested for the playoffs. He recorded 19 goals and 67 points in 66 regular-season outings in 2024-25. Stone is projected to start the playoffs on the first line alongside Ivan Barbashev and Jack Eichel.
