Jets' Brady Cook: Named Week 17 starter
Jets head coach Aaron Glenn said Monday that Cook will remain the team's starting quarterback versus the Patriots in Week 17.
Cook struggled during New York's 29-6 loss to the Saints in Week 16, completing 22 of 35 pass attempts for 188 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. He also lost one fumble and rushed once for two yards. Across three NFL appearances (two starts), Cook has thrown just one touchdown to go with six interceptions, but he'll get at least one more opportunity under center for New York this season. Tyrod Taylor operated as Cook's backup in Week 16, but that could tentatively change if Justin Fields (knee) is able to get healthier ahead of facing New England.

Jets' Brady Cook: No TDs, two turnovers in loss
Cook completed 22 of 35 passes for 188 yards and an interception in Sunday's 29-6 loss to the Saints. He also rushed once for two yards and lost a fumble.
Cook threw for only 74 yards in the first half, as the Jets took a 9-6 deficit into the locker room after a touchdown-less first half. The Saints stepped up in the second half while Cook was a bit more productive through the air, but the Jets failed to score after halftime. Cook has a 1:6 TD:INT through three NFL appearances (two starts). Tyrod Taylor recovered enough from groin and knee injuries to dress as the backup Sunday, so it's possible the Jets could turn back to Taylor or Justin Fields (knee) under center against the Patriots in Week 17 over the struggling undrafted rookie Cook.

Jets' Brady Cook: Making another start
Cook will start Sunday's game at New Orleans, Al Iannazzone of Newsday reports.
Jets coach Aaron Glenn made the announcement Wednesday afternoon, telling reporters that his Week 16 backup will be whichever of Tyrod Taylor (groin) or Justin Fields (knee) is healthy enough to play. Glenn's decision coming this early in the week could be taken as a hint that he wants Cook to finish out the season, though things can change in a hurry if the rookie continues to struggle (he tossed three interceptions Sunday in a 48-20 loss at Jacksonville).

Jets' Brady Cook: One TD, three INTs in first start
Cook completed 22 of 33 passes for 176 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions in Sunday's 48-20 loss to the Jaguars. He also rushed six times for 39 yards.
Cook completed his first six passes, the last of which was a nine-yard touchdown pass to Adonai Mitchell for Cook's first NFL touchdown pass. The undrafted rookie quarterback struggled after that point, tossing three interceptions as the Jets fell to 3-11 with a lopsided loss in Cook's first NFL start. Having already been eliminated from playoff contention, the Jets may just ride Cook the rest of the way. He'll be in the mix to start in Week 16 against the Saints, but the return of Tyrod Taylor (groin) or Justin Fields (knee) would muddy the Jets' quarterback situation.

Jets' Brady Cook: Named Week 15 starter
Coach Aaron Glenn confirmed Friday that Cook will start Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
With both Tyrod Taylor (groin) and Justin Fields (knee) dealing with injuries and out this week, per Eric Allen of the Jets' official site, Cook, who joined the team as an undrafted free agent after the 2025 Draft, is slated to make his first career NFL regular season start this weekend, while Adrian Martinez is in line to be elevated from the practice squad to serve as his backup, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. In that context, the Missouri product represents an option for those in QB-friendly formats or are otherwise in need of help at the position Week 15.
