Hamze El-Zayat: Reaches injury settlement
The Jets waived El-Zayat (undisclosed) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
El-Zayat reverted to the Jets' IR on Thursday after being waived with an undisclosed injury designation Wednesday. Now that a settlement has been reached, the 24-year-old wide receiver will be able to try out for another team once he is healthy.

Jets' Hamze El-Zayat: Reverts to injured reserve
El-Zayat (undisclosed) reverted to the Jets' injured reserve Thursday after going unclaimed off waivers, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
El-Zayat was let go by the Jets on Wednesday with an unspecified injury designation. After clearing waivers, the 24-year-old wide receiver will now be forced to miss the entire 2024 season unless he reaches an injury settlement with the Jets.

Hamze El-Zayat: Gets cut loose
El-Zayat (undisclosed) was waived by the Jets with an injury designation Wednesday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
El-Zayat was attempting to make the team as an undrafted free agent out of Eastern Michigan. Instead, he will revert to injured reserve, assuming he goes unclaimed on waivers, and potentially miss the 2024 campaign.

Jets' Hamze El-Zayat: Signs with Jets
El-Zayat signed with the Jets as an undrafted free agent Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The Eastern Michigan product caught 27 passes for 360 yards and two touchdowns during his final collegiate season in 2023. El-Zayat will now get a chance to compete on a New York depth chart that is 12 wide receivers deep at the moment.
