Fellow linebacker Chris Odom was signed into the roster spot vacated by Phillips. Phillips appeared in only one game during his time with Washington.

Phillips will provide depth for Washington at outside linebacker. Noah Spence was released in a corresponding move.

Phillips (groin) was placed on the PUP list Monday, Joel Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.
Phillips was placed on injured reserve last November and appears to still be recovering from the groin injury. Look for more updates on his status to come as the preseason nears.

He spent just one day on the PUP list. It looks like he'll be ready to go for training camp and will compete for rotational snaps at defensive end.

Phillips suffered a groin injury during Sunday's win against the Jaguars and will now be sidelined for the remainder of the season. He appeared in six games with the Colts, totaling four tackles (one solo).

Phillips is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Jaguars with a groin injury, Andrew Walker of the Colts' official site reports.
Phillips was promoted from the practice squad in late September and has four total tackles in five games. Tyquan Lewis and Al-Quadin Muhammad are the Colts' remaining options for rotational snaps at defensive end if Phillips remains sidelined.
