Mackensie Alexander: Out for remainder of season
The Cowboys placed Alexander (undisclosed) on the practice squad injured list Thursday.
Alexander was placed on Miami's injured reserve with a groin injury during the preseason before being cut from this list with an injury settlement Sept. 2. The seventh-year cornerback then went unsigned before landing with Dallas' practice squad Dec. 6, and he was elevated once for the Week 16 win over Philadelphia. Alexander will now have to sit out the remainder of the Cowboys' postseason run due to an undisclosed issue.

Mackensie Alexander: Released from IR
The Dolphins released Alexander (groin) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Thursday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Alexander was placed on IR just a week after signing with the Dolphins and was slated to miss the entire 2022 campaign. However, he'll now be able to join a new team once he clears his current groin injury. The 2016 second-round pick appeared in 16 games for the Vikings last year and registered a career-high 51 tackles.

Dolphins' Mackensie Alexander: Placed on IR
Alexander was placed on injured reserve with a groin injury Tuesday, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
After signing with the Dolphins on Aug. 15, Alexander is now set to miss the entire 2022 season with a groin injury unless he reaches an injury settlement with the team. The injury once again leaves Miami very thin at cornerback.

Dolphins' Mackensie Alexander: Joins up with Miami
Alexander signed a contract with the Dolphins on Monday.
Miami added Alexander to its 90-man offseason roster following a successful workout with the team earlier Monday, per Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com. The 28-year-old has primarily played a backup cornerback role over the past five seasons between Minnesota and Cincinnati. Alexander recorded a career-high 51 tackles to go along with five passes defended over 16 games with the Vikings in 2021, and he should help bolster Miami's secondary after the team recently lost defensive back Trill Williams to a season-ending torn ACL this offseason.

Vikings' Mackensie Alexander: Inactive against Bears
Alexander (ankle) is listed as inactive Week 18 against the Bears.
Alexander had played in every single game for the Vikings this year leading up to the season finale, but he came up on the injury report late this week and missed Friday's practice, which will end up keeping the sixth-year cornerback sidelined. He had previously worked largely as the nickelback, and with Kris Boyd (ribs) also inactive and Harrison Hand on the COVID list, the depth of the Minnesota secondary is about to be tested.
