Nationals' Jared Simpson: Part of September call-ups

The Nationals selected Simpson's contract from Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday, Spencer Nusbaum of The Athletic reports. Simpson has split this season between Double-A Harrisburg and Rochester, logging a 2.30 ERA and 73:38 K:BB over 58.2 innings. The 26-year-old southpaw will be making his major-league debut when/if he enters a game.
