49ers' Brian Robinson: Gains 20 yards Monday
Robinson rushed five times for 20 yards while failing to catch his only target in Monday's 48-27 win over Indianapolis.
Robinson was limited to five carries -- his lowest total since Week 9 -- behind another dominant showing from starter Christian McCaffrey (146 yards and two TDs). The 26-year-old Robinson has been held under 30 rushing yards in all three games since the 49ers' Week 14 bye. With a healthy McCaffrey dominating San Francisco's backfield touches, there simply isn't enough work left for Robinson to carve out a significant fantasy role against the Bears on Sunday.

49ers' Brian Robinson: Another down game in Week 15
Robinson rushed nine times for 21 yards and returned two kicks for 53 yards in Sunday's 37-24 win over the Titans.
Robinson struggled in his change-of-pace role Sunday after finishing the contest with a season-worst 2.3 YPC. The veteran backup has finished with a per-carry average below 4.0 yards in three out of his last four outings with no trips to the end zone over that span. Robinson's recent struggles and marginal role on offense make him an unsavory fantasy option against the Colts in Week 16.

49ers' Brian Robinson: Eight carries in dominant win
Robinson turned eight carries into 26 yards in Sunday's 26-8 victory over Cleveland.
Robinson garnered at least seven carries for the fourth game in a row, but he was limited to an uninspiring 3.3 yards per carry Sunday. The running back also didn't see a target for the first time since Week 9. Robinson has now rushed the ball 72 times for 328 yards and two touchdowns while catching seven of 10 targets for 19 yards over 13 contests this year.

49ers' Brian Robinson: Solid backup effort Monday
Robinson rushed seven times for 40 yards while catching one of two targets for four yards in Monday's 20-9 win over Carolina.
Robinson provided a nice change of pace to starter Christian McCaffrey's 24-89-1 rushing line as the duo helped contribute to a dominant 147-yard effort on the ground against the Panthers. The 26-year-old Robinson has been experiencing greater success in recent weeks, averaging 39.5 rushing yards over his last four contests with both of his touchdowns coming over that span. The bruising runner has yet to reach double-digit carries in any game this season while topping 50 yards just once, so his fantasy value remains tied to deeper formats. Expect Robinson to receive his allotted handful of carries behind CMC when the 49ers face the Browns on Sunday.

49ers' Brian Robinson: Gains 24 yards Sunday
Robinson rushed eight times for 24 yards while failing to bring in his only target in Sunday's 41-22 win over Arizona.
Robinson couldn't extend his modest touchdown streak to three games, instead finishing with his worst per-carry average (3.0 yards) since Week 5. The eight carries were the lone bright spot for the veteran backup, which eclipsed the 4.9 carries he averaged entering Sunday's divisional matchup. While single-digit touches shouldn't inspire excitement from GMs in standard leagues, Robinson could provide value for those in deeper formats if San Francisco builds an early lead against the Panthers next Monday.

49ers' Brian Robinson: Scores in consecutive games
Robinson took eight carries for 41 yards and a touchdown while catching his only target for four yards in Sunday's 42-26 loss to the Rams.
Robinson kept his hot play going with another touchdown following his best game of the season against the Giants (5-53-1). The veteran backup actually finished as San Francisco's leading rusher on a day when starter Christian McCaffrey struggled on the ground (2.5 YPC). Robinson maintains a serious cap on touches so long as McCaffrey remains upright. Only desperate managers in deeper formats should consider starting Robinson against the Cardinals next Sunday.

49ers' Brian Robinson: Best game with San Francisco
Robinson took five carries for 53 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-24 win over the Giants. He also returned a kickoff for 41 yards.
Robinson turned in his best performance as a member of the 49ers on Sunday, setting a new season high in rushing yards while punching in his first touchdown of 2025. The 26-year-old backup was still limited to single-digit touches (five) and snaps on offense (nine), so managers shouldn't overreact to what might end up being his best fantasy score this year. Expect Robinson to receive a handful of carries behind every-down starter Christian McCaffrey in a pivotal NFC West matchup against the Rams next Sunday.

49ers' Brian Robinson: Limited to two offensive snaps
Robinson did not record a touch on offense while returning three kicks for 99 yards in Sunday's 26-15 loss to the Texans.
Robinson finished with just two offensive snaps (four percent) and seven on special teams in the upset loss. Christian McCaffrey was on the field 96 percent of the time, a trend that pops up when the 49ers are trailing for the majority of a contest, as was the case Week 8. Robinson has sandwiched his best output of the season against the Falcons (9-36-0) with a pair of box-score bagels, giving him little to no upside for next Sunday's tilt against the Giants.

49ers' Brian Robinson: Season-high 36 yards Sunday
Robinson carried the ball nine times for 36 yards and was not targeted as a receiver in Sunday's 20-10 win over Atlanta.
Robinson's 36 rushing yards Sunday set a new high-water mark for the backup rusher through seven appearances with the 49ers. The nine carries tied his previous high set back in Week 1. This comes on the heels of a zero-carry outing against the Buccaneers last week. It makes sense that Robinson would see an uptick in usage in games that the 49ers play with a lead for most of the contest. While a similar situation could arise in a winnable matchup against the Texans next Sunday, Robinson is unlikely to sniff double-digit touches in his current role working behind Christian McCaffrey.

49ers' Brian Robinson: No rushing attempts Sunday
Robinson did not record a carry and caught all three of his targets for eight yards in Sunday's 30-19 loss to the Buccaneers.
It was an odd usage game for Robinson after he did not receive a carry for the first time in six appearances this year. Equally abnormal, the veteran backup's three targets Sunday matched the combined total from his previous five contests. The end result was still unsavory from a fantasy perspective, as Robinson was unable to do much with just five snaps played on offense (seven percent). Fantasy managers shouldn't expect much from Robinson in games that starter Christian McCaffrey is healthy for. The same can be said for next Sunday's tilt against the Falcons.

49ers' Brian Robinson: Held to 12 yards Thursday
Robinson rushed five times for 12 yards and was not targeted in Thursday's 26-23 overtime win against the Rams.
Starter Christian McCaffrey gobbled up a season high 76 snaps on offense (88 percent) Thursday, leaving just scraps for Robinson, even with the 49ers missing several key offensive players on a short week. The veteran backup finished with his worst per-carry average (2.4 yards) since being traded to San Francisco this preseason. Robinson's lack of involvement in the passing game (three targets) coupled with zero trips to the end zone through five appearances make him a poor fantasy option Week 6 against the Buccaneers.
