One of the best point guards in the 2015 class will come off the board this week.

Jawun Evans, a 6-foot Kimball (Texas) product, is expected to make his commitment on Wednesday.

Evans is down to State" data-canon="Oklahoma Sooners" data-type="SPORTS_OBJECT_TEAM" id="shortcode0">, Illinois, USC and Texas . He has taken trips to all four schools, although there were three official visits made to USC, Illinois and Oklahoma State in the past month. The latter two are considered the leaders right now.

Illinois seemed like the favorite after the summer, but an injury to Tracy Abrams and a commitment from Jalen Coleman could lead to a logjam on the perimeter. There are currently eight guards on the Fighting Illini roster for 2015-16. With that said, a backcourt comprised of Evans and Coleman would be highly impressive.

Evans visited Oklahoma State last weekend, and the Cowboys have emerged as a very possible landing spot for the talented point guard. Travis Ford's program would offer immediate playing time for Evans, although the Cowboys coach could be on the hot seat moving forward.

Evans, a five-star prospect ranked No. 21 in the 247Sports Composite, was one of the most consistently impressive players in the spring and summer. He has tremendous speed and is excellent in transition, but he understands tempo and can run a half-court offense as well. He loves to push the ball and get easy baskets. Evans is a good decision-maker and can pressure the ball defensively.

Decision looming for three-star point guard

Evans isn't the only point guard with a decision date coming up. And in a class that is relatively weak at the point guard position, this one is important for a quartet of programs.

Justin Robinson, a 6-1 prospect from St. James School (Md.), confirmed to CBSSports.com that he is "most likely" going to decide Oct. 12.

Robinson will take a visit to UNLV this weekend, and the Runnin' Rebels are among his four finalists. The rest of that group includes Virginia Tech, Maryland and Providence. He has taken trips to the other three schools on his final list.

Robinson is ranked No. 124 in the 247Sports Composite.

Missouri bringing in heavy hitters next month

There were some questions regarding whether new Mizzou coach Kim Anderson would be able to recruit at a high level. By keeping ace recruiter Tim Fuller and hiring former Huntington Prep (W.Va.) coach Rob Fulford, Anderson made key moves in attempting to alleviate some concerns.

And if the weekend of Oct. 10 is any indication, the new staff at Missouri is already making waves in the grassroots and high school circuit.

Sources have informed CBSSports.com that the Tigers have a monster weekend planned, bringing in 10 visitors. Here's the rundown:

Official visits: Isaiah Briscoe (No. 9 in 2015), Antonio Blakeney (No. 17 in 2015), Thomas Bryant (No. 25 in 2015)

Unofficial visits: Jayson Tatum (No. 1 in 2016), Miles Bridges (No. 23 in 2016), Michael Porter (No. 4 in 2017), Ted Kapita (No. 37 in 2015), Kobi Simmons (No. 15 in 2016), Curtis Jones (No. 56 in 2016), Tyler Cook (No. 57 in 2016)
