    Analysis

    I think UMBC has a higher offensive ceiling in this game with a couple different options for players who can handle the offensive responsibility. DJ Armstrong, Jah’Likai King or Ace Valentine are capable of stepping up, and if Howard can’t force turnovers with its pressure defense then it might struggle to defend UMBC’s scorers in the half-court. The key to UMBC breaking that pressure and preventing Howard’s transition game is great ball security and a commitment to getting back on defense that includes selling out on the offensive glass. Since UMBC can turn this into a game on its terms, I like their odds to win.

    Analysis

    I know it's the lower-scoring Atlantic 10, but each of the last nine Davidson games failed to top 137 points. Meanwhile the last ten Oklahoma State games hit 150 points or more. Something has to give. Look for the Wildcats to slow the pace and I think they're a live underdog in Stillwater on Tuesday night.

    Stephen F. Austin finished tops in the Southland Conference at 20-2 and finished the season at 28-5, but hello N.I.T. This is a team that plays one of the best perimeter defenses in the nation, allowing only 30% from 3-point range and also allowing only 65.9 points a game. They're going to give Tulsa all kinds of trouble regarding the spread, but I think Tulsa is going to force the issue on the scoring end, making the game go over. Tulsa averages 85.6 points per game while making 38.8% of its 3-point shots, which ranks 11th nationally. Tulsa forced the pace over in 21 of their 31 lined games. Just the over on this one.

    Analysis

    Both of these teams average nearly 84 points per game, so I feel like we're unlikely to see a low scoring game from Dayton on Tuesday night. In 14 of the last 15 NC State games, at least one team has reached 81+ points. In 6 of the last 8 Texas games, one team has reached at least 84 points. I see both teams topping 80 here and putting on a wildly entertaining contest, though I slightly lean Wolfpack here outright.
