Cunningham contributed 39 points (13-27 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 7-8 FT), seven rebounds, nine assists and two steals over 48 minutes during Wednesday's Game 5 overtime loss to Cleveland in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Cunningham is now tied with Isiah Thomas for the most 30-point games in a single playoff run in Pistons franchise history, and he hit numerous clutch shots down the stretch to keep Detroit in the game. However, the Pistons came up short at home and now head back to Cleveland for a must-win Game 6 on Friday.

Cunningham racked up 19 points (7-16 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six assists, three rebounds and one steal across 39 minutes during Monday's 112-103 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Cunningham didn't deliver his most productive performance after recording a triple-double in Game 3. The star point guard committed a game-worst five turnovers and grabbed just three rebounds for the third time this series. Cunningham finished with 27 points (10-27 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 10 rebounds, 10 assists and one steal over 39 minutes in Saturday's 116-109 loss to Cleveland in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Cunningham finished with his first triple-double of the postseason. However, not everything went well, with the 24-year-old committing eight turnovers, nearly as many as he had in the first two contests of the series combined. He also had trouble shooting the ball, making just 37.0 percent of his shots from the field and 33.3 percent from behind the three-point line. With the victory by the Cavaliers, Cunningham and company will look to get back in the win column in Game 4 on Monday night.

The star guard has now scored at least 20 points in all eight of the Pistons' playoff games in 2026 after turning in a strong first-round series against the Magic, during which he averaged 32.4 points, 7.1 assists and 5.7 rebounds while shooting 46.2 percent from the field and 39.6 percent from beyond the arc across seven contests. Cunningham continuing to produce, particularly with greater efficiency than Tuesday, will be key as Detroit looks to take a commanding 2-0 series lead Thursday.

Cunningham stuffed the stat sheet in the first six games of this series and certainly carried that momentum into Game 7 by leading the Pistons in scoring and handing out a team-high 12 assists as well. With the win, Detroit advances to the Eastern Conference Semifinals to meet Toronto or Cleveland.

The star point guard has reached the 30-point threshold in back-to-back games and has yet to score fewer than 25 points through six first-round outings.
