Report: Nationals may give Stephen Strasburg four or five more starts

Nationals' Stephen Strasburg could have four or five starts remaining before being shut down.

Stephen Strasburg could make just four or five more starts for the Nationals this season, according to Mark Zuckerman of CSNWashington.com.

Once Strasburg is shut down, Triple-A starting pitcher John Lannan will take his spot in the rotation for the remainder of the season.

Strasburg is 15-5 with a 2.85 ERA and 1.11 WHIP in 145.1 innings this season. The Nationals chose to keep Strasburg in Tuesday night's game for six innings despite a 51-minute rain delay in the third inning.
