  • Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Scores second TD of season

Ferguson secured three of four targets for 33 yards and a touchdown during Thursday's 38-37 overtime loss to the Seahawks.

The rookie tight end found paydirt for the first time since Week 7 in the second quarter, scoring on a third-yard pass from Matthew Stafford. Prior to last week's one-catch performance, Ferguson had been on a four-game streak without a catch, so this week's bump in targets and catches was a welcome sight for fantasy managers waiting to see some of the second-round pick's potential in the latter half of the season. The Rams remain on the road for a Monday, Dec. 29 showdown in Atlanta, and Ferguson will look to continue building on his positive momentum over the last two weeks.

  • Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Makes one catch in win

Ferguson secured one of two targets for six yards during Sunday's 41-34 win against the Lions.

It was another monster week for starting tight end Colby Parkinson, as he added his fifth and sixth touchdowns in the last six contests against a porous Detroit defense. Ferguson and fellow backup Davis Allen failed to make much of an impact on the box score, although they were on the field for over three-quarters of the Rams' snaps on offense. What started out as a quartet of tight ends that spread their stats out evenly has skewed heavily towards Parkinson in the absence of Tyler Higbee (ankle). Ferguson's next chance for a breakout will be a tall task against divisional-rival Seattle in a Week 16 Thursday night showdown.

  • Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Fails to deliver in extended look

Ferguson failed to secure his only target during Sunday's 45-17 win against the Cardinals.

The second-round rookie out of Oregon was on the field for a season-high 45 snaps on offense, nearly the same amount as Colby Parkinson and Davis Allen. Parkinson paced the trio with three catches for 32 yards a touchdown, while Allen had a modest two catches for 21 yards. Ferguson only earned a single target from Matthew Stafford in the blowout, however, which he failed to bring in. This is the third game in a row that Ferguson has failed to secure a target, and the fourth straight in which the rookie has gone without a catch. Ferguson will try to get back on track against a depleted Lions defense in Week 15.

  • Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Third straight game without a catch

Ferguson failed to secure either of his two targets during Sunday's 31-28 loss to the Panthers.

Colby Parkinson has taken on the role of top tight end for the Rams in the absence of Tyler Higbee (ankle), and he again led the position group in all statistical categories, while Ferguson and Davis Allen (one target) were held without a catch. Until Ferguson shows consistent usage and more reliable targeting from Matthew Stafford, the second-round rookie remains difficult to trust in fantasy lineups with a divisional showdown in Arizona up next on the docket in Week 14.

  • Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Usage regression continues

Ferguson failed to secure his only target during Sunday's 34-7 victory against the Buccaneers.

Despite Tyler Higbee (ankle) going on injured reserve, Ferguson's reduced role didn't expand, as he took the field for just 15 snaps on offense. Colby Parkinson secured all four of his targets for 41 yards and a touchdown, and Davis Allen tacked on three catches and 29 yards with his four targets. Until Ferguson earns more playing time, his opportunity for the explosive plays he's showcased in limited usage this season (27.6 YPC on five catches) will be scant, making him difficult to trust in fantasy lineups.

  • Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Just one catch

Ferguson secured one of four targets for 32 yards during Sunday's 42-26 victory against the 49ers.

Despite falling well short of the other Rams' tight ends in terms of playing time on Sunday (22 of 69 snaps on offense), Ferguson was involved often when he was on the field. Matthew Stafford continued targeting the second-round rookie and finally hit paydirt on a long target in the fourth quarter that set up a Kyren Williams touchdown. While Tyler Higbee, Davis Allen and Colby Parkinson continue to have a role on offense, Ferguson seems like the best opportunity for explosive plays out of the quartet. A Seahawks defense that just gave up a 9-127-1 stat line to Trey McBride is up next for Ferguson and the Rams in Week 11.

  • Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Season-high 54 yards in win

Ferguson secured two of three targets for 54 yards during Sunday's 34-10 victory against the Saints.

Despite a light downtick in playing time from last week, Ferguson made another big impact on Sunday, catching a dart from Matthew Stafford and adding a few extra yards after catch for a 36-yard gain. Ferguson has proven to be a reliable target for explosive plays in the past few weeks, but his playing time hasn't been given a significant bump relative to starter Tyler Higbee and fellow backups Davis Allen and Colby Parkinson. In fact, Ferguson was a distant fourth in snap to the other three tight ends, which caps his upside heading into a Week 10 showdown with divisional rival San Francisco.

  • Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Snares first NFL touchdown

Ferguson secured one of three targets for 31 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 35-7 victory against the Jaguars.

The Oregon product showcased some of the talent that led to the Rams using a second-round pick on him in the fourth quarter, burning past safety Andrew Wingard and securing a fourth-down pass from Matthew Stafford for a touchdown. Ferguson's usage has been ticking up over the last few weeks, and he played 34 snaps on offense Sunday, a season high. For now, the Rams are content in using all four of their tight ends in rotation, which caps the upside of the talented rookie at the moment. The Rams are on bye next week before taking on the Saints in Week 9.

  • Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Blanked in victory

Ferguson wasn't targeted and played 17 snaps on offense during Sunday's 17-3 victory against the Ravens.

While Ferguson was unable to secure any targets on offense, he did take the field for just over 30 percent of the Rams' snaps on offense, a season high. Colby Parkinson (concussion) may return for Week 7 against the Jaguars in London, and with Tyler Higbee establishing himself as the top tight end in the pecking order once again, Ferguson, Parkinson and Davis Allen will share the backup tight-end duties as they've been doing for the majority of the season thus far.

  • Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Potential for expanded role

Head coach Sean McVay said Ferguson "is only going to get more opportunities going forward", Greg Beacham of the Associated Press reports.

McVay's comments come after Ferguson was active for the first time in three games. Given only four snaps on offense on Thursday against the 49ers, the rookie managed to turn his only target into a healthy 21-yard gain, which helped set up a Kyren Williams receiving touchdown a few plays later. Ferguson's second-round pedigree and a Rams' tight end room currently struggling to make much of an impact may help him quickly leap up the pecking order at tight end, and a Ravens defense struggling to keep points off the board may mark an opportunity for Ferguson to produce if McVay's comments bear fruit.

  • Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Playing Week 5

Ferguson is active for Thursday's game against the 49ers.

The rookie second-rounder has been a healthy scratch for the Rams' last two games, but he'll be active for Thursday's NFC West tilt due to the absence of Tyler Higbee (hip). With Higbee sidelined, Ferguson likely will operate as the team's TE3 behind Davis Allen and Colby Parkinson.

  • Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Inactive again Week 4

Ferguson (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's Week 4 game against the Colts.

The rookie second-round pick played four offensive snaps over the first two games of the season -- with all of those coming in Week 2 -- but Ferguson will be a healthy scratch for a second consecutive contest after both Tyler Higbee (hip) and Colby Parkinson (shoulder) cleared injury designations. Ferguson's next chance to garner active status comes in a Week 5 Thursday night clash against the 49ers.

  • Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Healthy inactive for Week 3

Ferguson (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.

A second-round selection in April, Ferguson was the third tight end off the board in the 2025 NFL Draft, going after first-round choices Colston Loveland and Tyler Warren. Despite his pedigree, Ferguson hasn't been able to earn a meaningful role with the Rams over the first two weeks of the season, playing just four offensive snaps in total. He may be in store for limited opportunities with Los Angeles as a rookie so long as the other tight ends on the roster (Tyler Higbee, Colby Parkinson and Davis Allen) all stay reasonably healthy.

  • Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Could be in line for more work

Ferguson played five snaps on special teams during Sunday's 14-9 win against the Texans.

Despite the second-round pedigree, Ferguson spent his first career regular-season game on the bench the Rams were on offense, failing to secure a single snap from scrimmage. Colby Parkinson (shoulder) had a rough day, however, taking two catches for minus-6 yards and losing a fumble while also sustaining a sprained AC joint in the victory. This may open the door for Ferguson to earn some snaps on offense in Week 2 alongside Tyler Higbee and Davis Allen, although a Titans defense that has been tough on tight ends under defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson may not be the most ideal setting for a breakout.
