  • Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Homers again Saturday

Hernandez went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and a second run scored in Saturday's 11-5 win over the Giants. Hernandez has homered in three straight games, bringing his total for the year up to 13. His sixth-inning blast Saturday stretched the Dodgers' lead to 10-0. The outfielder's return to power and consistency at the plate has him at a .267/.300/.516 slash line with 50 RBI, 36 runs scored and five stolen bases over 56 contests after a brief slump in early June.

  • Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Clubs homer in loss

Hernandez went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Friday's 6-2 loss to the Giants. Hernandez was the only Dodger to find any success with the bat against Giants ace Logan Webb, as the outfielder accounted for both of Los Angeles' hits. This was Hernandez's first multi-hit effort since May 27 versus the Guardians. He's homered in consecutive contests, which may be just the spark he needs to turn things around. The recent slump has dropped him to a .266 batting average, but he still has an .801 OPS, 12 homers, 48 RBI, 34 runs scored and five stolen bases over 55 games this season.

  • Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Smacks three-run homer

Hernandez went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's 5-2 victory over the Padres. Hernandez put the Dodgers ahead for good Wednesday, launching a 420-foot blast off Jeremiah Estrada in the sixth inning. It's the first home run since May 21 for Hernandez -- the veteran outfielder had gone just 13-for-76 (.171) with a .496 OPS in his previous 20 games following a stint on the IL. Overall, Hernandez is slashing .261/.288/.488 with 11 homers, 47 RBI, 33 runs scored and five stolen bases across 222 plate appearances this year.

  • Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Rare day off Saturday

Hernandez isn't in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against St. Louis, Kirsten Watson of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports. Hernandez has been struggling at the plate of late, going 2-for-27 with 11 strikeouts over his past seven games. He'll get a day off his feet Saturday while Los Angeles is in the midst of a 13-day stretch without an off day. Hyeseong Kim is starting in center field against the Cardinals, and Andy Pages is sliding over to right field.

  • Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Plays hero in 13th inning

Hernandez went 2-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and three RBI in Friday's 7-5 extra-innings win over the Mets. The veteran outfielder was a part of all three Dodgers rallies on the night, driving in two runs with a single in the third inning before scoring after being hit by a pitch in the fifth, but it was his RBI double to lead off the 13th that was the decisive blow. Hernandez has gone 3-for-12 with a double, a homer and seven RBI since coming off the IL on May 19, and on the season he's delivered a .310/.336/.599 slash line with 10 long balls and 41 RBI in just 37 contests.

  • Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Slugs decisive homer

Hernandez went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run in a 3-1 win against Arizona on Wednesday. Corbin Burnes frustrated Los Angeles batters for most of the night, but Hernandez made the veteran hurler pay for his lone mistake with a three-run blast on a slider over the plate in the sixth inning. That long ball stood up as the Dodgers' only extra-base hit in the contest and provided the decisive runs in the 3-1 win. This was just Hernandez's third game (and second start) following a two-week stint on the IL, and the homer was the All-Star outfielder's first hit since his return to action.

  • Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Not starting Tuesday

Hernandez isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against Arizona. Hernandez went 0-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored during his return from the IL on Monday, and the Dodgers will sit him down Tuesday as he eases his way back into MLB action. While he rests, Michael Conforto, Enrique Hernandez and Andy Pages will start across Los Angeles' outfield.

  • Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Activated off IL

The Dodgers activated Hernandez (adductor) from the 10-day injured list Monday. Hernandez made one rehab outing with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Saturday, and it was enough to get the green light to return to the majors from a Grade 1 adductor strain that he suffered in early May. Hernandez reached base safely in each of the 13 games prior to his injury, and over that span he slashed .407/.418/.759 with two steals, four home runs and 17 RBI. James Outman was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move.

  • Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Begins rehab assignment

Hernandez (groin) went 0-for-1 with two walks and played four innings in right field to begin a rehab assignment with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Saturday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports. The Dodgers announced Friday that Hernandez would require a rehab assignment before being activated, and he returned to game action one day later. Hernandez could remain in the lineup with Rancho Cucamonga on Sunday, when he'll likely serve as the designated hitter.

  • Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Will need rehab assignment

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Friday that Hernandez (adductor) will require a rehab assignment before being activated from the 10-day injured list, Dodgersbeat reports. While Roberts didn't divulge when exactly Hernandez will begin playing in rehab games, it should happen soon. The skipper noted when Hernandez went on the IL earlier this month that the outfielder could be back in two weeks, and that timeline would have him returning in the middle of next week.

  • Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Resumes swinging bat

Hernandez (adductor) has been hitting in the cage and is slated to take live at-bats during the Dodgers' next homestand, which begins Tuesday, per MLB.com. This is a positive development for Los Angeles and fantasy managers who roster Hernandez after the All-Star outfielder was placed on the IL with a Grade 1 adductor strain this past Tuesday. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Wednesday that Hernandez could be ready to return in two weeks, and that lines up with the expectation that he'll resume taking live at-bats next week. While Hernandez has been out, Andy Pages has been playing right field while recent call-up James Outman has mostly been handling center field.

  • Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Could return in two weeks

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Wednesday that he's hopeful Hernandez (adductor) will be ready for activation from the 10-day injured list in two weeks, Sonja Chen of MLB.com reports. Roberts had a fairly ominous tone when discussing Hernandez's left adductor strain Tuesday, but he was much more optimistic a day later. A clearer picture on Hernandez's timetable should be available in the coming days, but it's looking like the veteran outfielder has a good shot to return well before the end of the month.

  • Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Has Grade 1 adductor strain

The Dodgers placed Hernandez on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a Grade 1 left adductor strain, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports. Hernandez had to leave Monday's game in Miami with what was called hamstring tightness at the time, but it turns out it's his adductor/groin area that's the issue. The fact that the strain is only Grade 1 gives Hernandez a chance to avoid a long-term absence, but there is no timetable for his return. The Dodgers have Andy Pages in right field and James Outman in center field Tuesday versus the Marlins.

  • Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Headed to injured list

The Dodgers will place Hernandez (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list prior to Tuesday's game in Miami, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports. Hernandez had to exit Monday's game against the Marlins with left hamstring tightness. There's no word yet on the results of an MRI, but evidently it was bad enough that a trip to the IL will be required. James Outman appears poised to take Hernandez's roster spot and could see reps in the outfield. The Dodgers also figure to give Hyeseong Kim a look in the outfield while Hernandez is out.

  • Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Headed for MRI

Hernandez (hamstring) will undergo an MRI on Tuesday, Dodger Insider reports. Hernandez exited Monday's series opener with left hamstring tightness, and the team has yet to rule out a stint on the injured list. Manager Dave Roberts stated after the game that the club would add a player to the taxi squad ahead of Tuesday's matchup in the event Hernandez requires a trip to the IL, per Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic.

  • Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Exits with hamstring injury

Hernandez was removed from Monday's game against the Marlins due to left hamstring tightness. Hernandez picked up a pair of hits before being lifted from the matchup, though it's unclear as to when he felt the injury pop up. He'll be considered day-to-day until the club has more information on his availability moving forward. Chris Taylor entered the game in center field and Andy Pages shifted to right with Hernandez out of the game.

The veteran slugger is up to nine homers on the season -- among major-leaguers, only Cal Raleigh (10) and Eugenio Suarez (10) have gone deep more times. Hernandez is also tied for third in the league with 27 RBI and is slashing a solid .274/.291/.585 through 110 plate appearances.

Hernandez went 2-for-5 with a double, a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 8-4 win against the Pirates.
