Live scores, highlights and updates from the Oklahoma State vs. Kansas State football game
Game Recap
The Oklahoma State Cowboys ran circles around the Kansas State Wildcats on Saturday, and the extra yardage (481 yards vs. 260 yards) paid off. Oklahoma State came out on top against K-State by a score of 31-20. Since the Cowboys won the last time these teams met, too, this is only more fuel for the fire driving the Wildcats' future revenge.
Oklahoma State's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 31 first-half points. K-State wasn't quite able to keep up, and the score was 31-13 heading into the break. Although Oklahoma State wound up losing the second-half battle, they still had enough in reserve to win the war.
Oklahoma State QB Spencer Sanders was slinging it as he passed for two TDs and 344 yards on 34 attempts in addition to punching in one rushing touchdown. WR Tay Martin also helped out with an impressive 100 receiving yards in the victory.
No one had a standout game offensively for the Wildcats, but RB Deuce Vaughn led the way with one touchdown. Near the top of the highlight reel was Jaren Lewis' 55-yard TD bomb to Vaughn in the third quarter.
The Cowboys' win brought them up to 4-0. With their first loss of the season, K-State fell to 3-1.
Oklahoma State will be playing at home against the Baylor Bears at 7 p.m. ET next Saturday. Baylor is also hoping to continue their momentum after a 31-29 win over the Iowa State Cyclones on Saturday. K-State will look to defend their home turf next Saturday against the Oklahoma Sooners at 3:30 p.m. ET.
