Two weeks from today, one of five programs will receive a commitment from a borderline five-star prospect.
Elijah Thomas told CBSSports.com that he will make his college announcement at his high school on October 21.
Thomas has taken visits to LSU, Oklahoma State, Illinois and SMU, and has an official visit scheduled for Texas A&M this weekend. He confirmed that those five are still on his list, and nothing has been narrowed.
"Same schools," he said.
Thomas, a 6-foot-9 Lancaster (Texas) product), is ranked No. 28 in the 247Sports Composite for the class of 2015.
He is considered to be leaning toward either Oklahoma State or Illinois. The Cowboys picked up some momentum when five-star point guard Jawun Evans committed last week. Evans is very close with Thomas and the two have spoken about possibly playing in college together. Meanwhile, Illinois is squarely in the mix and Thomas has spoken glowingly about his visit to Champaign.
