  • Hockey Club's Michael Carcone: Adds another helper

Carcone managed an assist in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Sabres.

Carcone's assist streak is up to four games after he helped out on Dylan Guenther's game-winning tally in the third period. The 28-year-old Carcone is getting better looks on offense by playing on the second line at even strength, though he still remains fairly limited overall -- he hasn't exceeded 12 minutes of ice time in any of the last eight contests. He's at 18 points, 72 shots on net, 46 hits, 36 PIM and a minus-4 rating through 49 outings overall.

  • Hockey Club's Jack McBain: Garners assist in win

McBain produced an assist, four hits and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Sabres.

McBain has four points over his last eight outings, as well as 29 hits in that span. He continues to bring some heavy play to a third-line role, though he can also chip in a bit of depth scoring from time to time. This season, he has 21 points, 76 shots on net, 238 hits, 68 PIM and a plus-5 rating over 69 appearances.

  • Hockey Club's Barrett Hayton: Gathers helper in win

Hayton logged an assist in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Sabres.

Hayton set up Dylan Guenther's game-winning tally at 14:13 of the third period. This ended a three-game slump for Hayton, who has seven points over his last 10 outings while filling a top-six role. The 24-year-old center is up to 39 points (17 goals, 22 assists), 133 shots on net, 38 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating over 69 appearances. If he remains steady down the stretch, he'll have a good chance to top his career-high 43-point effort from 2022-23.

  • Hockey Club's Nick Schmaltz: Logs helper Thursday

Schmaltz registered an assist, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Sabres.

Schmaltz set up Logan Cooley late in the first period for the opening goal. Over the last 10 games, Schmaltz has five goals and five assists as he continues to thrive in a top-line role. The 29-year-old winger is up to 54 points, 154 shots on net, 37 blocked shots and a minus-12 rating through 69 outings. Schmaltz remains on pace to reach the 60-point mark for the second year in a row.

  • Hockey Club's Clayton Keller: Contributes helper in win

Keller logged an assist, two shots on goal and two PIM in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Sabres.

Keller helped out on a Logan Cooley tally in the first period. The 26-year-old Keller has two goals and five assists over nine games in March as he continues to push for a career year. He's already matched his 76-point total from last season, doing so in just 68 contests in 2024-25 compared to 78 outings a year ago. The veteran winger has added 183 shots on net, 24 PIM and a minus-11 rating while seeing steady top-six minutes.

  • Hockey Club's Kevin Stenlund: Credited with empty-netter

Stenlund had an empty-net goal, two shots on net and two PIM in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Sabres.

Stenlund was the last Utah player to touch the puck before he took a high-sticking penalty late in the third period. However, the Sabres possessed the puck and ultimately passed it back into their own empty-net, resulting in the statistical rarity of Stenlund getting credit for a goal and a penalty on the same sequence (excluding post-whistle scrums). With four goals and two assists over nine outings in March, this has been a good month for the 28-year-old center. He's up to 11 tallies -- matching his career high from last season -- and 19 points with 81 shots on net, 32 PIM, 43 hits and 53 blocked shots over 69 appearances.

  • Hockey Club's Logan Cooley: Opens scoring in win

Cooley scored a goal on two shots, added two PIM and logged two hits in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Sabres.

Cooley has two goals and an assist during his three-game point streak. It looks like the 20-year-old is back on track after opening March with six scoreless outings, which briefly caused him to be demoted to the second line. For the season, Cooley is at 19 goals, 50 points, 129 shots on net, 52 hits, 38 PIM and a plus-2 rating across 62 appearances.

  • Hockey Club's Dylan Guenther: Nets game-winner Thursday

Guenther scored a goal on three shots in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Sabres.

Guenther put Utah ahead for good with his tally at 14:13 of the third period. The 21-year-old winger has three goals and two assists over nine games in March -- while it's not his best work of the season, he remains fairly steady as a shoot-first option on the second line. For the season, Guenther is up to 25 goals, 49 points, 171 shots on net and a plus-2 rating across 57 appearances. Nine of his tallies have been game-winners.

  • Hockey Club's Mikhail Sergachev: Scores twice in win

Sergachev scored two goals on three shots and went plus-4 in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Sabres.

Sergachev put Utah ahead 2-1 in the second period and added a shorthanded empty-netter in the third to finish off the win. Sergachev has impressed in March with three goals and four assists over nine outings. The 26-year-old blueliner is up to 13 goals (a career high) and 45 points while adding 111 shots on net, 121 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating across 64 appearances. He's within striking distance of the 50-point mark for the second time in three years.

  • Hockey Club's Karel Vejmelka: Bounces back with win

Vejmelka stopped 25 of 27 shots in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Sabres.

Vejmelka rebounded from his poor start Tuesday versus the Oilers, turning in a strong effort to get back in the win column. He allowed a power-play goal to JJ Peterka in the first period and a shorthanded tally to Ryan McLeod in the third, but Utah pulled away late for the win. Vejmelka has alternated wins and losses over his last six outings. He's a 20-win goalie for the first time in four NHL campaigns, and he's added a 2.49 GAA and a .908 save percentage over 46 appearances. A tough matchup awaits Saturday when Utah hosts the Lightning.

  • Hockey Club's Karel Vejmelka: Starting against Buffalo

Vejmelka will be between the pipes at home against the Sabres on Thursday, Belle Fraser of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.

Vejmelka was pulled from Tuesday's game against the Oilers at the end of the first period after he allowed three goals on 14 shots. However, he'll have a chance to bounce back in his 12th consecutive start Thursday. Over his 11 starts since the 4 Nations break, he's gone 6-3-2 with a 2.31 GAA and .904 save percentage.

  • Hockey Club's Michael Carcone: Assist streak at three games

Carcone logged an assist in Tuesday's 7-1 loss to the Oilers.

Carcone has gotten on the scoresheet in four of his last five games, including earning an assist in three straight contests. The 28-year-old is up to 17 points, 71 shots on net, 45 hits, 36 PIM and a minus-4 rating through 48 appearances. Even with less security in the lineup in 2024-25, he's within striking distance of the 20-point mark for the second year in a row. However, Carcone's fourth-line role largely limits his fantasy appeal in most formats.

  • Hockey Club's Logan Cooley: Snags assist in loss

Cooley registered an assist, three shots on goal, two hits and a minus-2 rating in Tuesday's 7-1 loss to the Oilers.

Cooley has turned things around after opening March on a six-game point drought. He has two points, five shots on net and six hits over his last two outings while staying in a top-six role. The 20-year-old center is up to 49 points (16 on the power play), 127 shots on net, 50 hits, 36 PIM and a plus-2 rating over 61 appearances this season.

  • Hockey Club's Sean Durzi: Pots lone goal in blowout loss

Durzi scored a goal and blocked three shots in Tuesday's 7-1 loss to the Oilers.

Durzi was one of four Utah skaters to end up even or better in plus-minus despite the lopsided score. He cashed in the team's lone tally just after a power play expired late in the second period. Durzi has a goal and an assist over his last two games and is up to six points, 18 shots on net, 30 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating through 16 outings overall. With a spot on the second power-play unit, the 26-year-old blueliner is worth a speculative addition in deeper fantasy formats.

  • Hockey Club's Jaxson Stauber: Allows four goals in relief outing

Stauber stopped 24 of 28 shots in relief of Karel Vejmelka in Tuesday's 7-1 loss to the Oilers.

Vejmelka was blitzed for three goals on 14 shots in the first period. Stauber was marginally better, but the Oilers didn't let up over the final two frames despite a dominant lead. Stauber went 2-1-1 over his first four games of the season, but this poor outing has inflated his GAA to 2.76 while dropping his save percentage to .912 through five contests. Don't expect Stauber to get much action as long as Utah remains in contention for a playoff spot, as the team has had no hesitation in riding Karel Vejmelka as a workhorse starter.

  • Hockey Club's Karel Vejmelka: Pulled after one period

Vejmelka stopped 11 of 14 shots in the first period of Tuesday's 7-1 loss to the Oilers.

Head coach Andre Tourigny pulled Vejmelka for Jaxson Stauber at the start of the second, and Stauber was tagged for four goals on 28 shots to close out the contest. Utah was flat across the board in this contest, so it's not all Vejmelka's fault, and he'll likely benefit from getting some rest given his heavy workload -- this was his 11th start in a row. For the season, the 28-year-old has been more good than bad with a 19-18-6 record, a 2.50 GAA and a .907 save percentage through 45 appearances. Utah's next game is at home versus Buffalo, a team with a strong offense but one that should be an easier matchup than Edmonton.
