  • Flames' Dustin Wolf: On wrong side of shutout

Wolf stopped 23 of 27 shots in Friday's 4-0 loss to the Blackhawks. Wolf couldn't quiet the Blackhawks' top line, and the Flames didn't offer him any support in this contest. It's a step back after Wolf had allowed just five goals on 72 shots over his first three outings in November. For the season, the 24-year-old netminder is now at a 4-9-1 record with a 3.26 GAA and an .892 save percentage through a league-high 14 starts. The Flames have a couple of fairly favorable matchups coming up, as they visit the Wild on Sunday and the Blues on Tuesday, though it's not yet clear if Wolf will start both of those games.

  • Flames' Dustin Wolf: Gets back in win column

Wolf stopped 17 of 18 shots in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Flyers. Wolf lost his shutout bid with 5:40 left in the third period, but it was still a fine bounce-back performance after he was pulled from Saturday's game versus the Predators. The 24-year-old netminder has won two of his last four games, allowing nine goals on 97 shots in that span, which suggests he's turning a corner after an ugly October. Still, the Flames aren't providing much support, which will make wins tough to come by. Wolf has a 3-8-1 record with a 3.39 GAA and an .884 save percentage across 12 starts. The 24-year-old will likely get the nod again Wednesday at home versus the Blue Jackets.

  • Flames' Dustin Wolf: Chance for rebound Sunday

Wolf will get the start for Sunday's game against the Flyers, Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports. It was an ugly start for Wolf his last time out; he allowed three goals in the first period on 11 shots before getting the hook in a 4-2 loss to the Devils. That outing was emblematic of the season that the Flames' young netminder has had. The 24-year-old has a 2-8-1 record, a 3.62 GAA and an .881 save percentage. He'll look to rebound against a Flyers team ranked 24th in the league with 2.77 goals per game.

  • Flames' Dustin Wolf: Yanked after one frame

Wolf allowed three goals on 11 shots in the first period of Saturday's 4-2 loss to Nashville before being replaced by Devin Cooley. Wolf is an abysmal 2-8-1 with an ugly 3.63 GAA and an .881 save percentage. He delivered a 29-16-8 record with a 2.64 GAA and a .910 save percentage in the 2024-25 regular season. Calgary hasn't carried any momentum from contending for a playoff spot last year. Wolf has bounce-back appeal if the team can right the ship, but he's a hard goalie to trust right now in fantasy.

  • Flames' Dustin Wolf: Great saves in loss

Wolf made 33 saves in a 4-3 loss to Toronto on Tuesday. The phrase high-and-dry comes to mind for Wolf, who made several 10-bell saves when his mates were out of position. This young man is exceptional post-to-post, and he's saving a lot of sure goals. However, Wolf also has the NHL's third-worst GSAx (-5.2). He's talented, but you need stability, not promise. Bench him.

  • Flames' Dustin Wolf: Between pipes Friday

Wolf will defend the visiting crease in Winnipeg on Friday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports. Wolf is turning his season around thanks to a pair of good performances in which he gave up four goals on 55 shots. He struggled before that, allowing 20 goals on 137 shots (.854 save percentage) over five games. Wolf is 1-5-1 this season. The Jets dropped a 3-0 decision to Seattle on Thursday and could be tired in the second game of back-to-back contests.

  • Flames' Dustin Wolf: Another hard-luck defeat

Wolf stopped 26 of 28 shots in Wednesday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Canadiens. For the second game in a row, Wolf did his best to limit the damage but didn't get enough scoring support from his teammates. He's now 1-5-1 on the year, but his individual performance has improved after a bumpy stretch early in the season. Wolf should continue seeing plenty of starts for the Flames, as he gives them their best chance to win. However, fantasy managers chasing wins will have a tough time getting them from the 24-year-old as long as Calgary's offense remains putrid. The Flames' next game is a challenging one on the road in Winnipeg on Friday.

  • Flames' Dustin Wolf: Starting against Montreal

Wolf will start Wednesday's home game against the Canadiens, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports. Wolf has lost each of his last five starts, posting a 4.17 GAA and an .853 save percentage during that time. He'll attempt to bounce back in Wednesday's outing but will face a tough test, as the Canadiens rank fifth in the NHL with 3.57 goals per game this season.

  • Flames' Dustin Wolf: Defending cage Monday

Wolf will patrol the crease at home versus the Jets on Monday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports. Wolf has underwhelmed to start the season, going 1-4-0 with a 4.30 GAA and .854 save percentage in five appearances, including Saturday's game against the Golden Knights in which he was pulled after two periods. For now, it seems the team will allow the young netminder to play his way out of this funk but at some point the Flames may have to give Devin Cooley more starts.

  • Flames' Dustin Wolf: Expected to face Vegas

Wolf is slated to start on the road against Vegas on Saturday, per Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan. Wolf has struggled to start the 2025-26 campaign, posting a record of 1-3-0 while allowing at least three goals in each of those four outings. That's in stark contrast to his 29-16-8 record, 2.64 GAA and .910 save percentage across 53 appearances during the 2024-25 regular season. However, it's still very early into the campaign, so it'd be premature to pass judgment on Wolf. The Golden Knights rank fourth in goals per game with 4.00 and own a mark of 3-0-2 this year, which will make it challenging for Wolf to begin his comeback Saturday.

  • Flames' Dustin Wolf: Tagged with loss Tuesday

Wolf stopped 26 of 29 shots in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Golden Knights. The fourth goal was an empty-netter with seven seconds left in the game. Wolf has endured a tough start to the season, giving up at least three goals in each of his four appearances while being tagged with the loss in the last three. Through four starts, the 24-year-old netminder has a subpar .873 save percentage and a 3.77 GAA. Devin Cooley will get his first start of the year in the second half of Calgary's back-to-back in Utah on Wednesday. Wolf's next chance to be between the pipes could come Saturday on the road against the Golden Knights.

  • Flames' Dustin Wolf: Sharp in loss

Wolf made 24 saves in a 4-2 loss to the Blues on Saturday. One snipe came on the power play; the rest were at even strength. Wolf has allowed 12 goals in three starts this season (1-2-0). Nine of those goals have come in the last two games. The score wasn't flattering, but Wolf made some great saves, including an incredible scramble stop with the game tied at 2-2.

  • Flames' Dustin Wolf: Starting again Thursday

Wolf will guard the road goal versus the Canucks on Thursday, Jeff Paterson of CanucksArmy.com reports. Despite facing 35 shots Wednesday versus the Oilers and playing both games on the road, Wolf will work both halves of a back-to-back set. It's unclear if this is a vote of confidence in Wolf or an indication the Flames don't fully trust Devin Cooley in the backup role. In any case, Wolf will look to keep his strong start to the season going after earning a shootout win Wednesday in Edmonton.

  • Flames' Dustin Wolf: Backstops comeback win

Wolf stopped 32 of 35 shots in Wednesday's 4-3 shootout win over the Oilers. The Oilers started well and took a 3-0 lead before the halfway mark of regulation. Two of those goals were on the power play, but Wolf was able to stay calm and provide steadiness between the pipes as the Flames put together a comeback win. He also stopped seven of eight shootout attempts to complete the effort. Wolf is locked in as Calgary's No. 1 goalie after producing an impressive 29-16-8 record, 2.64 GAA and .910 save percentage over 53 games in 2024-25. He'll likely get a breather Thursday as the Flames visit the Canucks, with Devin Cooley likely to start that contest before Wolf gets back between the pipes for the home opener Saturday against the Blues.

  • Flames' Dustin Wolf: Starting against Edmonton

Wolf will start Wednesday's Opening Night matchup on the road against Edmonton, Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports. Wolf earned a starting role during the 2024-25 campaign and went 29-16-8 with a 2.64 GAA and a .910 save percentage over 53 regular-season appearances. He enters 2025-26 as the Flames' No. 1 netminder, and he'll draw the start in the first half of a back-to-back set to open the campaign. The Flames visit Vancouver on Thursday, and backup Devin Cooley might get the nod in that contest.

  • Flames' Dustin Wolf: Wins in shootout

Wolf stopped 38 of 42 shots in Tuesday's 5-4 shootout win over the Golden Knights. While other results didn't go favorably for the Flames, they still found a way to get the win Tuesday. This was Wolf's third victory in a row. The 23-year-old netminder is now at 29-16-8 with a 2.64 GAA and a .910 save percentage through 53 appearances. Now that the Flames are out of playoff contention, it's not clear if Wolf will be given an opportunity to reach the 30-win mark in Thursday's finale in Los Angeles.

  • Flames' Dustin Wolf: Holds on for win

Wolf stopped 16 of 18 shots in Friday's 4-2 win over the Wild. Wolf lost a shutout bid late in the third period, but he was able to maintain the lead this time, avoiding a repeat of Wednesday's collapse versus the Ducks. Wolf is 3-1-2 over six games in April, and he's limited opponents to two goals or fewer in four of those contests. The Flames appear to have handed the reins to Wolf in their final push for a playoff spot. The 23-year-old is now 27-16-8 with a 2.63 GAA and a .909 save percentage over 51 starts. The Flames have no back-to-back sets left, and their next matchup is a favorable one at home Sunday versus the Sharks. It'll likely take Wolf getting to the 30-win mark for the Flames to earn a playoff berth.

  • Flames' Dustin Wolf: Falls apart late Wednesday

Wolf allowed four goals on 23 shots in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Ducks. The Flames took a 3-1 lead with under five minutes to go in regulation, but it disappeared when Frank Vatrano and Cutter Gauthier scored eight seconds apart. Gauthier double-dipped, besting Wolf a second time at 1:11 of overtime to send the Flames to a loss that greatly reduces their playoff chances. Wolf is now 2-1-2 with 12 goals allowed over his last five games. He's at 26-16-8 with a 2.64 GAA and a .910 save percentage over 50 appearances. Wolf is still likely to get the nod for Friday's must-win home game versus the Wild.

  • Flames' Dustin Wolf: Hangs on for win Monday

Wolf made 29 saves out of 31 shots on net in Monday's 3-2 win over the Sharks. Wolf surrendered the only goal of the first period but then nearly kept Calgary's net clean for the remaining 40 minutes. Despite Will Smith's late goal with two minutes remaining in regulation, Wolf and the Flames' offense did enough to secure the victory. With Monday's win, the 23-year-old Wolf has a 26-16-7 record with a 2.62 GAA and a .911 save percentage in 49 outings this season. After going through a tough stretch in the latter half of March, Wolf has two wins, a 1.97 GAA and a .933 save percentage across four starts in April. Wolf's first full campaign has been one of the strongest among rookies this season. He has done enough to be in the conversation for a spot among the Calder Trophy finalists at the end of the season. Wolf has solid value in all fantasy formats for the remainder of the regular season.

  • Flames' Dustin Wolf: Defending crease Monday

Wolf will guard the road goal against San Jose on Monday, according to Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan. Wolf has gone 1-1-1 in his last three outings but has surrendered only six goals on 88 shots. He has a 25-16-7 record with three shutouts, a 2.63 GAA and a .910 save percentage through 48 appearances this season. San Jose sits 31st in the league with 2.55 goals per game in 2024-25. Wolf is 2-0-0 versus the Sharks this season while stopping 48 of 51 shots.
