  • Kraken's Michael Eyssimont: Scores in team debut

Eyssimont scored a goal on three shots and added two hits in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Predators. Eyssimont tallied with 1:46 left in the contest, with his goal coming after Luke Evangelista's empty-netter. Still, it was something to show for Eyssimont in his Kraken debut after he was sent to Seattle from Tampa Bay in the Yanni Gourde/Oliver Bjorkstrand trade. Eyssimont is up to 11 points, 101 shots on net, 84 hits and an even plus-minus rating over 58 appearances this season. He adds grit and a little depth scoring -- he had 25 points in the 2023-24 regular season -- but his usage is likely to be limited to bottom-six minutes with his new team.

  • Kraken's Michael Eyssimont: Heading west

Eyssimont, two first-round picks (2026, 2027) and a 2025 second-round selection were acquired by Seattle from Tampa Bay on Wednesday in exchange for Yanni Gourde, Oliver Bjorkstrand and a 2026 fifth-round pick, per Pierre LeBrun of TSN. Eyssimont has five goals, 10 points, 44 PIM and 82 hits over 57 appearances with the Lightning in 2024-25. This change of scenery probably won't change the fact that he primarily gets work on the fourth line. The 28-year-old is in the second season of his two-year, $1.6 million contract.

  • Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: Nets equalizer Tuesday

Eyssimont scored a goal on six shots and added two hits in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Oilers. Eyssimont has a goal and two assists during a three-game point streak. His six shots Tuesday represented a season high. He's trending upward, but as long as he remains on the fourth line, the 28-year-old has a low ceiling. He's at 10 points, 95 shots, 77 hits, 42 PIM and a minus-1 rating through 53 appearances.

  • Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: Picks up assist in win

Eyssimont notched an assist and two hits in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Canadiens. Eyssimont ended a six-game point drought when he helped out on Zemgus Girgensons' goal in the second period. The 28-year-old Eyssimont was a scratch for a couple of games recently, and he's unlikely to see anything more than middle-six minutes since he hasn't been very consistent on offense this season. He's at eight points, 88 shots on net, 74 hits, 42 PIM and a minus-3 rating over 51 appearances in 2024-25.

  • Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: Earns helper Tuesday

Eyssimont recorded an assist, two shots on goal, two hits and two blocked shots in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Canadiens. The Lightning shuffled their lines following Monday's 5-3 loss in Toronto, and Eyssimont certainly benefited. He was promoted to play alongside Brayden Point and Jake Guentzel, and Eyssimont was able to set up Guentzel's tally. If that promotion sticks, Eyssimont may be worth a look in fantasy despite having just three points over 22 contests since the start of December. The winger has a mere seven points with 80 shots on net, 65 hits and 36 PIM over 44 outings this season, but he put up 25 points across 81 regular-season games in 2023-24, so there is a little more potential than he's shown so far.

  • Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: First goal since November

Eyssimont scored a goal and added five hits in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Bruins. Eyssimont's tally at 19:10 of the second period ended up being the game-winner. It was his first point in 10 appearances and his first goal since Nov. 30 versus the Maple Leafs. The 28-year-old has been a regular in the Lightning's bottom six, but he's struggled with six points, 68 shots on net, 52 hits, 28 PIM and a minus-3 rating over 37 appearances. That level of offense is too low to help most fantasy managers, and a lack of outstanding non-scoring production isn't useful either.

  • Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: Ready to rock

Eyssimont (lower body) will play against the Canadiens on Sunday, per Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site. Eyssimont will probably occupy a bottom-six role after missing Saturday's 6-2 win over the Rangers. He has produced three goals, five points, 58 shots on net, 15 blocked shots and 37 hits over 31 appearances this season. Eyssimont will replace Jake Guentzel (upper body) in Sunday's lineup.

  • Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: Not playing Saturday

Eyssimont (lower body) won't play versus the Rangers on Saturday, Gabby Shirley of FanDuel Sports Network Florida & Sun reports. Eyssimont didn't participate in Friday's practice and will miss his first game since Opening Night versus Carolina on Oct. 11. He has accounted for three goals, five points, 58 shots on net, 15 blocked shots and 37 hits over 31 appearances this season.

  • Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: Suffers lower-body injury

Eyssimont is day-to-day with a lower-body injury, Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site reports. Eyssimont missed practice Friday. The 28-year-old has three goals, two assists, 37 hits and 58 shots on goal in 31 games this season. He is questionable for Saturday's tilt against the Rangers.

  • Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: Nabs helper Saturday

Eyssimont notched an assist, two hits and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Kraken. Eyssimont snapped a four-game point drought, though he had three goals over four contests prior to the slump. The 28-year-old helped out on Declan Carlile's first NHL goal late in the third period. Eyssimont is up to five points, 52 shots on net, 32 hits, 26 PIM and a minus-1 rating over 27 outings. He's filled a fourth-line role and looks unlikely to replicate his 25-point regular season from 2023-24.

  • Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: Finds twine again

Eyssimont scored a goal on three shots in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Maple Leafs. Eyssimont is quickly turning things around, scoring all three of his goals this season over the last four games. He's up to four points, 45 shots on net, 25 hits, 26 PIM and a minus-1 rating through 22 appearances. Eyssimont figures to fill a slightly larger role while the Lightning are missing some of their regular wingers -- all of Nikita Kucherov, Nick Paul and Mitchell Chaffee were sidelined with undisclosed injuries Saturday. Outside of deep banger leagues, Eyssimont doesn't have much long-term appeal.

  • Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: Goals in consecutive games

Eyssimont scored a goal on four shots and added three hits in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Capitals. Eyssimont has scored in consecutive games after being limited to just one assist over his first 18 appearances this season. Despite the lack of offense, he's been a fourth-line fixture, and he also saw 54 seconds of power-play time Wednesday. Eyssimont has three points, 40 shots on net, 24 PIM and 21 hits across 20 outings overall.

  • Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: Tacks on goal Monday

Eyssimont scored a goal on five shots and went plus-2 in Monday's 8-2 win over the Avalanche. This was his first goal and second point of the campaign, ending an 11-game slump. Eyssimont has been a bottom-six fixture since he made his season debut Oct. 15 after missing Opening Night. He's added 36 shots on net, 18 hits, 24 PIM and a minus-1 rating through 19 contests. Eyssimont can chip in depth scoring, as evidenced by his 25-point campaign in 2023-24, but he's also down 1:07 of ice time per game in 2024-25, which limits his opportunities to contribute.

  • Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: Remaining out Friday

Eyssimont (lower body) won't play versus the Hurricanes on Friday, Gabby Shirley of Bally Sports Florida reports. Eyssimont remains on the injured non-roster list. Until he is activated, the 28-year-old forward will be unavailable. The Lightning will dress 11 forwards and seven defensemen in Friday's season opener, with Darren Raddysh dressing and Conor Sheary sitting as a healthy scratch.

  • Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: Hampered by lower-body injury

Eyssimont is dealing with a lower-body injury that will limit him at the start of training camp, Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times reports Wednesday. Eyssimont is coming off a career year in 2023-24 during which he played in a career-best 81 games while also registering personal bests in goals (11), assists (14) and shots (149). The 28-year-old Colorado native should be in the mix for power-play minutes with the No. 2 group this season -- assuming his lower-body injury doesn't sideline him for too long.

  • Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: Gets rare goal in loss

Eyssimont scored a goal Thursday in a 6-3 loss to Calgary. Eyssimont isn't known for his offense -- it was his first goal in 16 games. But he does deliver some meathead stats like 95 hits and 86 PIM to go along with 120 shots. Eyissimont doesn't deliver much fantasy value, but he'll continue to make an impact on the ice for the Lightning.

  • Lightning's Mikey Eyssimont: Surprise highlight-reel goal

Eyssimont scored a goal Saturday in a 6-4 win over the Senators. It was a highlight-reel snipe. Eyssimont split the Sens' D on a rush and roofed a backhand as he fell to the ice. "I don't know if tenacity has ever been a problem with him, to be honest," Lightning coach Jon Cooper said of Eyssimont. "That's kind of what he brings every single night. ... He never stops on plays, and he didn't stop on that one and he was rewarded." Eyssimont has three goals and one assist in 11 games, so his fantasy value is still nominal.

  • Lightning's Mikey Eyssimont: Tallies first point of season

Eyssimont picked up an assist for his first point of the season in Sunday's 5-2 loss against the Senators. Eyssimont was also good for a plus-1 rating, a shot on goal, a blocked shot and three hits in his 13:57 of ice time across 17 shifts. His calling card is his hitting, as he dished out 107 hits across 54 games with the Jets, Sharks and Lightning in 2022-23.

  • Lightning's Mikey Eyssimont: Signs two-year contract

Eyssimont agreed to a two-year, $1.6 million contract with Tampa Bay on Friday. Eyssimont had five goals, 15 points, 63 PIM and 107 hits in 54 contests with Winnipeg, San Jose and Tampa Bay in 2022-23. He started the campaign with the Jets, but was claimed off waivers by the Sharks on Jan. 6 before being traded to the Lightning in exchange for Vladislav Namestnikov on March 1. Eyssimont is projected to start the 2023-24 campaign as a bottom-six forward.

  • Lightning's Mikey Eyssimont: Unavailable for Game 2

Eyssimont (undisclosed) will miss Game 2 against Toronto on Thursday, according to Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times. Eyssimont sustained the injury when he was hit by Jake McCabe in the second period of Tuesday's 7-3 victory over the Maple Leafs. During the regular season, the 26-year-old Lightning forward had five goals and 15 points in 54 contests. With Eyssimont unavailable, the Lightning either need Tanner Jeannot (lower body) to return after missing Game 1, or Tampa Bay will want to summon someone from the AHL to help fill the void.
