Oilers' Olivier Rodrigue: Sent back to minors
Rodrigue was reassigned to AHL Bakersfield on Thursday.
Rodrigue's demotion could be an indication that Stuart Skinner (head) will be available for Friday's clash with the Sharks -- though the move could be undone prior to puck drop. With the available cap space, the Oilers brought up Cam Dineen from the minors to give them six healthy blueliners.

Rodrigue stopped 18 of 21 shots in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Ducks.
Making just his second appearance at the NHL level, Rodrigue was decent in his first start, but he was beaten twice in the second period and once more in the third. The Oilers didn't provide enough offense to back him up, which wasn't surprising given the absence of star players Leon Draisaitl (undisclosed) and Connor McDavid (lower body), meaning Rodrigue ended up being tagged with the loss. Rodrigue isn't expected to start again any time soon, as Calvin Pickard should remain the starter between the pipes for the Oilers until Stuart Skinner (head) is ready to return to the ice.

Oilers' Olivier Rodrigue: First NHL start on tap
Rodrigue will make his first NHL start on the road against Anaheim on Monday, Oilers play-by-play announcer Jack Michaels reports.
Rodrigue made his NHL debut in relief against Seattle on March 27 and turned aside seven of eight shots (.875 save percentage). He's made 40 appearances for AHL Bakersfield this year, going 18-15-7 with a 3.05 GAA and .899 save percentage. The 24-year-old will have a favorable opponent for his first NHL start, as the Ducks are averaging just 2.68 goals per game, which is tied for the fifth-worst mark in the league.
