Sharks' Collin Graf: Scores first NHL goal
Graf scored a goal on five shots in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Canadiens.
Graf returned from a stint with AHL San Jose and slotted into a middle-six role. He logged 17:37 of ice time and came away with his first career NHL goal in this contest after tying the game at 2-2 in the second period. The 22-year-old is up to three points, nine shots on net, 11 hits and a minus-4 rating across 11 appearances with the Sharks. Graf should be able to stick around while the Sharks are dealing with multiple injuries to forwards, though it wouldn't be surprising to see him reassigned to the farm team during the 4 Nations Face-Off break.

Sharks' Collin Graf: Promoted from minors
Graf was called up from AHL San Jose on Monday.
Graf hasn't appeared in an NHL game for the Sharks since Jan. 21 versus the Predators but could be pressed into service versus the Canadiens on Tuesday given all the injuries among the Sharks' forwards. In his 10 games for the big club, the 22-year-old winger has yet to find the back of the net while generating two assists, four shots and 10 hits while averaging 14:17 of ice time.

Graf has two assists in 10 NHL games this season. He was a healthy scratch Thursday as Walker Duehr played his first game with the Sharks after being claimed off waivers Wednesday. Graf had six goals and 20 assists in 29 AHL games before his recall.

Graf has a helper in each of the last two games, and his assist Tuesday was his first power-play point of the campaign. The 22-year-old winger has immediately stepped into a middle-six role for the Sharks, averaging 13:57 of ice time over three contests. Given the team situation, fantasy managers in redraft formats will want to wait and see if Graf can sustain his hot start to his time in the NHL -- he had 26 points over 29 outings with AHL San Jose, so the scoring touch is evident.
