Johansson (lower body) will not be available for the Lightning's next four contests, Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times reports Tuesday.
Johansson's absence will open the door for Brandon Halverson to appear in just his second NHL contest against either Detroit or Montreal on Saturday or Sunday, respectively. In his 13 outings this season, the 29-year-old Johansson has a 6-5-1 record and a 3.24 GAA -- not exactly the type of numbers that will inspire a ton of confidence in giving Andrei Vasilevskiy extra nights off.

The Lightning recalled Matt Tomkins from AHL Syracuse on Thursday, and Johansson's injury helps provide a reason for the move. Andrei Vasilevskiy (illness) is considered a game-time decision for Thursday's home game against the Kings, and Tomkins would presumably start if Vasilevskiy is unavailable or serve as the backup if Vasilevskiy is cleared to start.

He allowed three goals. Johansson is 2-4-0 with 19 goals allowed in his last six games. Johansson continues to struggle in his backup role, but he was pressed into duty when Andrei Vasilevskiy came down sick. We wouldn't rely on Johansson for fantasy help.

Johansson had lost his previous two outings, allowing seven goals on 61 shots across those games. He got back on track in the second half of a back-to-back, putting in a good effort while receiving plenty of support in this contest. For the season, Johansson improved to 5-3-1 with a 3.18 GAA and a .903 save percentage over 10 appearances. Johansson doesn't tend to have good ratios, but he's worth streaming to chase wins as he plays on a strong team. Look for Andrei Vasilevskiy to be back in goal Tuesday in Boston.
