  • Bruins' Casey Mittelstadt: Finds twine Tuesday

Mittelstadt scored a goal, fired two shots on net and had three blocks in Tuesday's 7-2 win over New Jersey. Mittelstadt's goal was the fourth of the game for Boston and helped level the scoring in the second period at two goals apiece. By lighting the lamp Tuesday, Mittelstadt has scored a goal in back-to-back games for the second time this season. Overall, the 26-year-old center has 15 goals, 40 points and 100 shots on net in 78 games this season. While this year has been a step back offensively for Mittelstadt, he's begun finding his goal-scoring touch with the Bruins which will be essential for his success with the team's top power-play unit long-term. His goal Tuesday secured his third consecutive campaign reaching the 40-point mark, giving him something to hold his head high on going into the 2025-26 season. He has some sneaky value in deeper leagues for the remainder of the fantasy playoffs as the Bruins are playing without pressure since being eliminated from postseason contention.

  • Bruins' Casey Mittelstadt: Finds twine on power play

Mittelstadt scored a power-play goal and went minus-2 in Sunday's 6-3 loss to the Sabres. Mittelstadt gave the Bruins a short-lived 3-2 lead against one of his former teams. The 26-year-old center had gone six contests without a point prior to Sunday. He's now at 14 goals, 39 points, 98 shots on net and a minus-27 rating across 77 appearances between Boston and Colorado this season.

  • Bruins' Casey Mittelstadt: Scores lone goal in loss

Mittelstadt scored a goal on two shots and went minus-2 in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Sharks. Mittelstadt has two goals and two assists over seven outings with the Bruins since being acquired from the Avalanche. He also has a minus-6 rating in that span, though that speaks to the Bruins' overall struggles more than his issues at this stage of the season. Overall, Mittelstadt has 13 goals, 38 points, 90 shots on net and a minus-18 rating through 70 appearances in 2024-25.

  • Bruins' Casey Mittelstadt: Finds twine in loss

Mittelstadt scored a goal on three shots, blocked two shots and went minus-2 in Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Senators. Mittelstadt has earned a goal and two assists over the first three games of his tenure with the Bruins. That's an encouraging sign for a player looking to get back on track after a rocky end to his time with the Avalanche. He's also seeing top-six minutes with the Bruins, though they're somewhat deep down the middle with Pavel Zacha and Elias Lindholm also claiming minutes at center. Mittelstadt has 37 points, 87 shots on net and a minus-12 rating over 66 appearances this season, and he's worth a look in fantasy if his offense holds up over the last month of the campaign.

  • Bruins' Casey Mittelstadt: First assist with new team

Mittelstadt picked up an assist Saturday in a 4-0 win over Tampa Bay. In the third period, Mittelstadt set up an odd-man rush for Cole Koepke and David Pastrnak, which the former capitalized on to round out the scoring. Mittestadt possesses plenty of potential and could resurrect his game with Boston after failing to find a fit in Colorado. He had 11 goals and 23 assists in 63 games with the Avalanche before being dealt ahead of Friday's deadline.

  • Bruins' Casey Mittelstadt: Heading north

Mittelstadt, Will Zellers and a second-round selection were acquired by Boston from Colorado on Friday in exchange for Charlie Coyle and a 2026 fifth-round pick, per Pierre LeBrun of TSN. Mittelstadt has 11 goals and 34 points in 63 appearances with Colorado this season. He's on pace to finish below the 50-point mark after exceeding it in 2022-23 and 2023-24, but perhaps the change of scenery will do him some good. Boston will likely use him in a middle-six capacity and give him a role on the power play.

  • Avalanche's Casey Mittelstadt: Nets power-play tally

Mittelstadt scored a power-play goal on two shots in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Penguins. Mittelstadt gave the Avalanche a 2-1 lead with 4:09 left in the third period, and his goal stood as the game-winner. He's scored twice over the last three contests after being limited to one goal and seven helpers over the first 21 games of 2025. The 26-year-old center is at 34 points (11 on the power play), 81 shots on net and a minus-12 rating through 62 appearances. He's still the second-line center, but if the Avalanche are buyers at the trade deadline, Mittelstadt get moved around by newcomers.

  • Avalanche's Casey Mittelstadt: Nabs helper in Sunday's win

Mittelstadt distributed an even-strength assist and went plus-1 Sunday in a 2-0 win over Philadelphia. Mittelstadt earned his third helper in his last five games when he set up Samuel Girard's game-opening goal in the middle stanza. Mittelstadt's second-line role hasn't translated to much production -- he scored only once over 15 outings in January, though he six assists in that span. The left-shot center has contributed nine goals and 32 points in 2024-25, but he has a minus-12 rating through 54 appearances. Mittelstadt's fantasy value could increase once Valeri Nichushkin (lower body), who was placed on injured reserve Monday, is ready to return to the lineup.

  • Avalanche's Casey Mittelstadt: Adds assist in loss

Mittelstadt notched an assist in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Bruins. Mittelstadt remains the second-line center for now, but things could change. The Avalanche are thin down the middle, but their trade that sent Mikko Rantanen to Carolina freed up cap space that could allow them to add a top-six forward. Mittelstadt may also face some pressure from the players that were included in the return -- Martin Necas has mainly been a winger in the NHL but was developed as a center, and Jack Drury is a natural center who slotted in on the Avalanche's third line for this game. Mittelstadt has been a bit better in January with six points in 12 contests, but any slump could cost him ice time. He's at 30 points, 65 shots on net and a minus-13 rating through 50 outings overall.

  • Avalanche's Casey Mittelstadt: Snaps five-game point drought

Mittelstadt scored a goal and added two assists in a 6-3 win over the Stars on Saturday. Due to Saturday's outburst, he snapped a five-game point drought and an eight-game goal slump. Mittelstadt's last multi-point game was Dec. 8, a span of 18 games. He has nine goals, 20 assists and 64 shots in 47 games this season. Mittelstadt is not the guy he was in Buffalo in 2022-23 when he hit 59 points, but he will give fantasy managers some secondary scoring.

  • Avalanche's Casey Mittelstadt: Contributes helper Monday

Mittelstadt logged an assist, three shots on goal and two PIM in Monday's 3-1 win over the Panthers. Mittelstadt set up Devon Toews for the game-tying goal late in the second period. As expected, Valeri Nichushkin's lower-body injury has opened the door for Mittelstadt to get back in a second-line role, though the 26-year-old center has helped his own cause with three points over his last four games. He's at 26 points, 57 shots on net and a minus-14 rating over 41 appearances this season. Mittelstadt can still run hot and cold on offense, and with a lack of non-scoring production, he's tough to roster in some fantasy formats.

  • Avalanche's Casey Mittelstadt: Nets game-winner

Mittelstadt scored a goal and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Jets. Mittelstadt's go-ahead goal was his first tally since Nov. 18, a span of 18 games without scoring. The 26-year-old had just five assists in that span, and the slump looked to have cost him a second-line spot. He still had 14:51 of ice time Tuesday, but that was partly because Valeri Nichushkin (lower body) left the contest in the second period. Mittelstadt is now at eight goals, 24 points, 51 shots on net, 19 blocked shots and a minus-15 rating over 38 appearances, but he's tough to trust if he ends up in the bottom six on a regular basis.

  • Avalanche's Casey Mittelstadt: Generates assist in win

Mittelstadt notched an assist in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Sharks. Mittelstadt has collected five helpers over his last seven contests. The 26-year-old forward struggled in November, but he's at least partially turned things around while maintaining his spot on the second line. The center has 23 points, 50 shots on net and a minus-17 rating over 34 appearances.

  • Avalanche's Casey Mittelstadt: Two more assists in win

Mittelstadt produced two assists and went plus-2 in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Devils. Mittelstadt has three helpers over his last two games after going eight contests without a point. The 26-year-old appears to be benefiting from having Ross Colton back from a broken foot and playing on the second line. Mittelstadt is up to 21 points (seven goals, 14 assists), 48 shots on net and a minus-15 rating through 29 appearances. He remains in a second-line role and probably won't face a lot of pressure to maintain that spot as long as the Avalanche play fairly well overall.

  • Avalanche's Casey Mittelstadt: Breaks slump with helper

Mittelstadt recorded an assist in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Red Wings. Mittelstadt snapped an eight-game point drought with the helper. The 26-year-old center has maintained a second-line role on paper, but his ice time has dropped significantly amid his slump and the return of other forwards. Mittelstadt should ultimately benefit from having better talent on his line, but he could be a player to drop in the lineup if his struggles persist. He's at 19 points, 48 shots on net and a minus-17 rating across 28 appearances.

  • Avalanche's Casey Mittelstadt: Pots game-winner Monday

Mittelstadt scored the game-winning goal and added a power-play assist in Monday's 3-2 victory over the Flyers. After helping to set up one of Cale Makar's two goals in the second period, Mittelstadt gave the Avs a 3-0 lead in the third by banging home the rebound on a Mikko Rantanen shot. The tally snapped an eight-game goal drought for Mittelstadt, but the 25-year-old center is still on pace for a career-best campaign, piling up seven goals and 18 points through 19 contests.

  • Avalanche's Casey Mittelstadt: Slings power-play assist

Mittelstadt notched a power-play assist in Saturday's 6-4 win over the Hurricanes. Mittelstadt was the only non-top-line forward to record a point for the Avalanche on Saturday, though five of the six blueliners also got on the scoresheet. He set up the first of Mikko Rantanen's two goals in the game. Mittelstadt has three helpers over four outings in November, all of which have come on the power play. The center is up to 16 points (eight on the power play), 36 shots on net and a minus-9 rating over 15 appearances. With Colorado converting 34.6 percent of its power plays so far, head coach Jared Bednar may be hesitant to break up the first unit even when Jonathan Drouin (upper body) or Valeri Nichushkin (suspension) becomes available to play, though Mittelstadt would be a candidate to move to the second unit if any changes happen.

  • Avalanche's Casey Mittelstadt: Provides helper in win

Mittelstadt notched a power-play assist and two PIM in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Kraken. Mittelstadt set up a Nikolai Kovalenko tally near the end of the contest. This was Mittelstadt's second straight game with a power-play helper. The center is up to six goals, nine assists, seven power-play points, 33 shots on net and a minus-8 rating over 13 appearances. As long as he remains on the top power-play unit, he should continue to put up strong scoring numbers.

  • Avalanche's Casey Mittelstadt: Manages power-play helper

Mittelstadt provided a power-play assist, two shots on goal and a minus-2 rating in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Predators. Mittelstadt had a four-game point streak end Wednesday, but he got back on the scoresheet in this contest. The 25-year-old has been productive in a second-line role and on the first power-play unit this season, earning 14 points (six with the man advantage) through 12 games. Mittelstadt has added 32 shots on net and a minus-8 rating, with the latter mark a product of the Avalanche's overall struggles early in the campaign.

  • Avalanche's Casey Mittelstadt: Extends streak with goal Monday

Mittelstadt scored a goal in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Blackhawks. The 25-year-old playmaker tied the game at 1-1 midway through the first period with a wrist shot, and that goal allowed him to extend his ongoing point streak to four contests. Mittelstadt has two goals, nine shots and six assists during that span, so he's been one of the most productive players for a struggling Colorado team in recent games.
