Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Draws assist in loss
Poehling produced an assist and blocked two shots in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Sabres.
Poehling's last month-plus of the campaign was the best he's ever played at the NHL level. He had eight goals, eight assists and 24 shots over the last 16 contests in 2024-25, giving him a total of 31 points (12 goals, 19 assists) in 68 appearances for the season. He added 71 shots on net, 26 hits, 79 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating. Poehling is primarily a bottom-six center who fills a defensive role, so fantasy managers shouldn't be banking on him carrying this success over into 2025-26, though that will be a contract year for him.

Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Adds two helpers in win
Poehling logged two assists and two shots on goal in Wednesday's 8-5 win over the Rangers.
Poehling was injured in Monday's practice, but it was a minor issue that didn't cost him a game. Instead, he stayed hot in a middle-six role -- the center has seven goals and five assists over his last nine contests. Poehling is definitely worth a look to close out the season in fantasy given his momentum. His two-point effort Wednesday gave him a career-high 29 points with 69 shots on net, 73 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating across 64 outings this season.

Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Looks good to go
Poehling (undisclosed) is expected to be in the lineup versus the Rangers on Wednesday.
Poehling left Monday's practice with an injury, but interim head coach Brad Shaw said the 12 forwards on the roster will play Wednesday. That means Poehling is clear to suit up after Rodrigo Abols was sent down Wednesday and Olle Lycksell was waived Monday. Poehling will likely feature in a middle-six role and see power-play time.

Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Leaves Monday's practice
Poehling (undisclosed) left Monday's practice early, and it's unclear if he will be available to play against the Rangers on Wednesday, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Poehling has been productive recently, earning eight goals and 12 points in his last 11 outings. He has 12 tallies, 15 helpers, 67 shots on net and 73 hits through 63 appearances this season. If Poehling and Sean Couturier (undisclosed) are unavailable for Wednesday's game, Rodrigo Abols and Olle Lycksell will probably return to the lineup after being a healthy scratches in Saturday's 3-2 loss to Montreal.

Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Keeps streak alive in costly loss
Poehling had an even-strength goal and a power-play assist in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Canadiens.
Poehling found the back of the net for a third straight game and has notched six points over that stretch. However, his strong showing Saturday wasn't enough, as the loss eliminated the Flyers from playoff contention. Poehling still has something to play for in Philadelphia's final five games, as he needs one point to match his career high of 28 points established last season.

Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Lights lamp in win
Poehling scored a goal on two shots and blocked four shots in Monday's 2-1 win over the Predators.
Poehling closed out March on an impressive run, earning seven goals and three assists over the last 10 games of the month. That's quite a bit for a forward best known for his defensive play, especially with four of those points coming over the last two contests. For the season, he's at 11 goals, 25 points, 65 shots on net, 71 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating through 62 appearances. He needs one more goal and four more points to set career highs in both categories.

Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Three points including GWG
Poehling scored two power-play goals, one the game-winner, and added an even-strength assist in Saturday's 7-4 victory over the Sabres.
After having a hand in a Jakob Pelletier tally in the first period, Poehling helped put the game away in the third by producing his first multi-goal performance of the season. The power-play tallies were his first of the season as well, and they came in just 59 seconds of ice time with the man advantage. Poehling has stepped into a more prominent role of late and taken advantage, recording six goals and nine points over the last nine games.

Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Four points in last four games
Poehling picked up a goal Tuesday in a 7-2 loss to Toronto.
Poehling opened the scoring in the first period when he one-timed a pass over Anthony Stolarz's glove from above the left hashmarks. The forward has three goals and one assist in his last four games. It's a nice little late-season bump, but it's not really enough to make Poehling fantasy relevant.

Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Scores again Saturday
Poehling scored a goal on two shots and blocked three shots in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Stars.
Poehling has three goals and five points over his last five outings. He's seen a larger role since the Flyers dealt Scott Laughton to the Maple Leafs at the trade deadline, and it looks like that's benefited Poehling's offense. For the season, the 26-year-old center has seven goals, 20 points, 57 shots on net, 64 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating through 57 appearances. He continues to operate in a third-line role.

Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Two points in win
Poehling had a goal and an assist in a 3-2 loss to Washington on Thursday.
Poehling has just six goals and 13 assists in 56 games this season, but four of those points (two goals, two assists) have come in his last four games. Does that signal a real uptick in production? We doubt it -- he had no points and just eight shots in the 12 games before that. Additionally, Poehling's secondary categories are slim as he has 61 blocks and 24 hits and only 55 shots in 56 games.

Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Two points snap 12-game drought
Poehling scored a goal and added an assist in a 4-3 shootout win over the Lightning on Thursday.
Poehling found himself alone in the slot with the puck, and he deked around Jonas Johansson in tight with a backhand. The points snapped a 12-game scoring drought for the pivot. It's worth noting that Poehling and line mate Olle Lycksell got a huge boost when Bobby Brink was shifted to their line. The trio put up three goals and four assists, and were the best line on the ice for the Flyers. They won't often have big games like this one, and the team is still going to struggle. But it's nice to see Poehling's confidence grow through the game. He has five goals, 12 assists and 50 shots in 53 games this season, so his value is limited.

Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Set to be activated
Poehling (upper body) is available to play Saturday versus the Oilers, indicating he'll be activated from injured reserve prior to the contest.
Poehling was upgraded to day-to-day status in early February, so his return has likely only been delayed by the 4 Nations Face-Off. The 26-year-old figures to take on a bottom-six role and will be heavily featured in defensive situations. He missed 11 games and has earned 15 points over 43 appearances this season.

Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Labeled day-to-day
Poehling (upper body) is considered day-to-day ahead of Tuesday's matchup with Utah.
Poehling would need to be activated off injured reserve prior to puck drop Tuesday but seems to be nearing a return to action. The 26-year-old center has been on the shelf since Jan. 16 versus the Islanders, a stretch of eight games on injured reserve.

Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Moves to IR
Poehling (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Monday.
Philadelphia recalled Rodrigo Abols from AHL Lehigh Valley in a corresponding move. Poehling missed Saturday's 3-1 win over New Jersey, and he won't be eligible to play against the Red Wings on Tuesday and the Rangers on Thursday after moving to the IR list. He has registered four goals, 15 points, 41 shots on net and 51 blocked shots through 43 appearances this season.

Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Unavailable Saturday
Poehling (upper body) will not be in the lineup against New Jersey on Saturday, Jackie Spiegel of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Poehling was injured Thursday after taking a hit to the head, courtesy of the Islanders' Maxim Tsyplakov. Olle Lycksell will replace Poehling in the lineup Saturday. Poehling has four goals and 15 points across 43 appearances this season.

Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Exits contest
Poehling (upper body) won't return to Thursday's game versus the Islanders.
Poehling sustained the injury on a hit from Maxim Tsyplakov in the first period. The 26-year-old Poehling was ruled out quickly after the hit, which is not a particularly encouraging development for his availability moving forward. Olle Lycksell may get a longer look in the lineup if Poehling misses times.

Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Goal, assist, four hits
Poehling had a goal, an assist, two shots on goal, four hits and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 6-0 win over the Ducks.
Poehling was one of several players who recorded multi-point efforts for the Flyers in this resounding win, and he snapped a four-game point drought in the process. The fourth-line center isn't known for his fantasy contributions, however, and he's racked up just five points (two goals, three assists) over his last 10 games. Don't expect him to be a sought-after fantasy option after this matchup, in which he recorded a multi-point effort for only the second time in 2024-25.

Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Scores in win Tuesday
Poehling scored a goal, took six shots and recorded a hit in Tuesday's 4-0 win over the Sharks.
Poehling cracked the scoresheet for the second game in a row, the third time over the last four, and the fifth over his previous eight contests. The 25-year-old center has two goals and three assists in that span, and while the lack of consistency could be an issue for the first-line center, he's been productive in recent weeks -- especially since he went through a seven-game pointless streak between Nov. 29 and Dec. 12 right before this aforementioned eight-game stretch.

Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Sends helper Sunday
Poehling produced an assist in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Kings.
Poehling has a helper in two of the last three contests, and he has four points over his last seven games. The fourth-line center continues to stick in the lineup for his defensive skills. He's at 12 points, 47 blocked shots, 25 shots on net and a minus-1 rating through 34 appearances this season. Poehling's lack of offense makes him a non-factor for most fantasy formats.
