Raty has two goals over his last five contests while holding down a steady fourth-line spot. The Canucks seem content with him in that role -- they didn't need to move him up the lineup, as Pius Suter shifted from wing to center to cover for J.T. Miller's (personal) absence. Raty was assigned to the AHL on Wednesday but will rejoin Vancouver a day later. Over seven appearances with the Canucks this year, he's logged an assist, 17 hits and a minus-2 rating while averaging 9:59 of ice time.

Raty was reassigned to AHL Abbotsford on Wednesday, Jeff Paterson of CanucksArmy.com reports.
Raty has three goals and seven points in eight appearances with Abbotsford, as well as an assist in seven outings with Vancouver in 2024-25. He might be recalled before Thursday's game against the Islanders. Vancouver also sent Arshdeep Bains and Jonathan Lekkerimaki to the minors Wednesday, which leaves the Canucks will just nine healthy forwards on their active roster. Vancouver did that for salary cap reasons, but the squad will presumably summon forwards to fill that gap before Thursday's matchup.

Raty made the NHL roster out of training camp and got to play right away due to Pius Suter's (upper body) absence. Raty didn't make an NHL appearance last year, but he was excellent with 52 points in 72 regular-season outings for AHL Abbotsford. The Finnish forward, acquired from the Islanders in the Bo Horvat deal in January of 2023, may not be a full-time NHL option this year. Even if he does stick around with the big club, he'll likely be limited to bottom-six minutes.

Also sent down were Arturs Silovs, Filip Johansson, Max Sasson, Linus Karlsson and Arshdeep Bains. Raty is regarded quite highly by Vancouver and should see some action at the NHL level this season. The Islanders dealt Raty and Anthony Beauvillier and a first-round draft pick to Vancouver in exchange for Bo Horvat on Monday.
Raty was selected in the second round of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft and has seen some NHL time this season, tallying two goals in 12 appearances. He's also scored 15 points in 27 AHL games. Raty scored his first career NHL goal in Friday's 5-1 win over the Panthers.
Making his NHL debut after being called up from AHL Bridgeport earlier in the day, Raty took a feed from Anders Lee in the Florida zone, danced around a defender to get into the slot and tucked the puck inside the far post past Sergei Bobrovsky to give the Islanders a 3-1 lead. A second-round pick in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, Raty was off to a solid start to his first full AHL campaign with five goals and 12 points through 23 contests, and the 20-year-old didn't miss a beat at the highest level. Raty could be sent back down once Casey Cizikas (upper body) gets healthy, but he's at least made a great first impression on the Isles.
