    Chabot has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Hurricanes for rest purposes, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports. Chabot has recorded points in each of his last six appearances, racking up three goals, seven assists, seven blocked shots and four hits while averaging 23:05 of ice time across that span.     Chabot scored a goal and registered two assists in Sunday's 4-3 overtime win over Philadelphia. Chabot was involved in all three regulation goals for Ottawa. He assisted on goals scored by Tim Stutzle and Fabian Zetterlund before netting the game-tying goal in the third period to send the contest to overtime. The 28-year-old blueliner is up to eight goals, 36 assists and 174 shots on net in 79 appearances this season. Chabot is currently on his best scoring streak of the season, with nine points in his last five games. His scoring run has raised his season total to 44 points, which is the second-highest mark of his nine-year career, and Chabot's 79 appearances this year are the most he has played in a season.

Chabot then picked up a secondary helper on David Perron's goal in the third period. With his two helpers, the 28-year-old Chabot has 32 assists, 38 points, 167 shots on net and 139 blocked shots in 76 games this season. The blueliner has provided decent output offensively for the Senators recently with five points in his last seven games. He currently ranks 29th in the league in blocks and provides enough category coverage in fantasy to give him good value in all league formats for the remainder of the regular season.

    Chabot notched an assist and a plus-1 rating in Saturday's 3-0 win over Florida. Chabot helped Ottawa inch closer to securing a playoff spot when he set up Matthew Highmore's empty-netter to seal the win. As a result of that insurance tally, the 28-year-old Chabot reached the 30-assist mark for the fifth time in his nine-year NHL career. The 2015 first-round selection has accumulated six goals, 36 points and a plus-12 rating across 75 appearances in 2024-25. Even though Jake Sanderson has taken over as Ottawa's No. 1 defenseman, Chabot is still capable of chipping in offensively when needed. The Senators' remaining schedule is far from a gauntlet, and Chabot could provide meaningful value for fantasy managers down the stretch.

Chabot suffered a broken nose before the 4 Nations Face-Off break, so that's presumably why the bump warranted him exiting practice early. Although he did miss Jan. 16's clash against Washington after being struck in the face by the puck, Chabot featured in the Senators' final 12 games before the break, so unless there's a setback, he should be fine Saturday versus Montreal.
