  • Lightning's Brayden Point: Three-game, four-point streak

Point had two assists in a 6-2 win over Columbus on Tuesday.

Point is on a three-game, four-point scoring streak (one goal, three assists), and he has nine shots in that span. He has points in eight of his last nine games (four goals, seven assists, and 27 shots). Point has been super consistent in terms of production, but this is just his second multi-point game since Dec. 29. Still, we'll take 32 goals and 64 points (145 shots) in 56 games any day.

  • Lightning's Brayden Point: Lights the lamp Monday

Point tallied a goal and recorded four shots on net in Monday's 2-1 loss to the Panthers.

Point struck the back of the net in the early stages of Monday's third period off a feed from defenseman Darren Raddysh. The 28-year-old Point is up to 32 goals, 62 points and 143 shots on net in 55 games this season. Point has been an extremely steady contributor offensively for Tampa Bay with 10 points in his last 10 games. That stretch of play helped Point become the second player on the 2024-25 Lightning with 30-plus goals and assists alongside Brandon Hagel. The 90-point mark this season isn't out of the question for Point if he can contribute a few multi-point performances down the stretch. Regardless, he remains a strong play in all fantasy formats as Tampa looks to solidify its spot as a playoff team in the Atlantic.

  • Lightning's Brayden Point: Steady yet unspectacular production

Point picked up an assist Saturday in a 3-1 win over the Capitals.

The helper came on the power play. Point has 31 goals on 129 shots and 30 assists in 54 games this season. Those are strong numbers, but he has just one multi-point outing in his last 25 appearances. It was a three-point game against Ottawa on Feb. 6. Point has 19 points (eight goals, 11 assists) in those 25 games. We don't know if there's anything amiss from an injury perspective, but it bears watching. In the 10 outings prior to this run, Point had 21 points (seven goals, 14 assists), including five multi-point games.

  • Lightning's Brayden Point: Dishes assist in win

Point registered an assist and took two shots on net in Sunday's 4-1 victory over the Kraken.

Point was the lone helper on Nikita Kucherov's third-period goal. The 28-year-old Point is up to 28 helpers, 59 points and 131 shots in 51 appearances this year. The Lightning's top-line center brought his point streak up to four games, with three goals and three assists in that span. Playing with Team Canada during the 4 Nations Face-Off seems to have helped Point stay ready to contribute to Tampa Bay's hopes in the playoff race. With 31 goals, he is tied for third-most in the league and trails only Edmonton's Leon Draisaitl (42) and Toronto's William Nylander (33). Point has strong value in all fantasy formats for the rest of the season while skating alongside one of the league's best playmakers in Kucherov.

Point scored a goal Monday in Canada's 5-3 win over Finland at the 4 Nations Face-Off.

It was his first goal of the tournament. Point followed Connor McDavid and Travis Sanheim on the rush, and he jammed the rebound past Kevin Lankinen to put Canada up 3-0 in the first frame. Point, who plays on a line with superstar Nikita Kucherov in Tampa Bay, has been playing alongside another superstar in McDavid at the 4 Nations Face-Off.

  • Lightning's Brayden Point: Nets 30th goal of season

Point scored a goal in a 6-3 win over the Red Wings on Saturday.

Point has two goals, two assists and nine shots in his last two games. Saturday's snipe was his 30th goal of the season, which puts him in the top five of the NHL. Point has been a top-10 NHL sniper a few times and a top-five producer once (2022-23). He's converting on 23.6 percent of his shots this season. Still, Point has delivered on more than 20 percent of his shots in each of his previous two seasons, so this uptick seems sustainable.

Point has 16 points (seven goals, nine assists) in a 10-game point streak against Chicago dating to March 20, 2021. Point also extended his home goal streak to five games (five goals), tied for the longest run in the NHL this season. The goal was Point's 28th in just 44 games (52 points). He's flirting with his third straight 90-point season.

  • Lightning's Brayden Point: Draws power-play helper

Point notched a power-play assist and four shots on goal in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Blackhawks.

Point has two goals and two helpers over his last five outings, but this was his first power-play contribution since Jan. 9. The center continues to play a key role in the Lightning's top six, even if he doesn't scored at quite the same rate as superstar linemate Nikita Kucherov. Point has 27 tallies, 24 helpers, 21 power-play points, 101 shots on net and a plus-5 rating over 42 outings this season.

  • Lightning's Brayden Point: Goals in back-to-back games

Point netted an even-strength goal on two shots and went plus-2 in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Red Wings.

Point opened the scoring just 2:02 into Saturday's contest. The star center has scored in back-to-back games after being scratched Tuesday against the Bruins for missing a team meeting. The 28-year-old has gotten on the scoresheet in six of nine games in January, but he hasn't produced a multi-point outing since Dec. 28 against the Rangers. For the season, Point has 27 goals, 49 points (20 on the power play), 91 shots on goal, two PIM and a plus-7 rating. His 29.7 shooting percentage is easily the highest mark of his career, so he could be due for negative regression in that area over the second half. Then again, Point is insulated by an assortment of elite talent in Tampa Bay.

  • Lightning's Brayden Point: Scores in return

Point scored a goal on three shots in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win over the Ducks.

Point missed a team meeting and was scratched Tuesday versus the Bruins. It was a one-game punishment for the 28-year-old center, and he made some amends by scoring a second-period tally Thursday. The center is up to 26 goals, 48 points, 89 shots on net and a plus-5 rating over 38 appearances. Point can be safely reinserted into all fantasy lineups as he pushes toward a third straight 40-plus-goal season.

  • Lightning's Brayden Point: Retakes first-line role

Point (coach's decision) was back in his customary first-line role ahead of Thursday's matchup with Anaheim, Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site reports.

Point was held out of Tuesday's clash with the Bruins after missing a team meeting, but it appears he is back in head coach Jon Cooper's good graces. The 28-year-old center is on pace to reach the 90-point threshold for the third straight season and could set a new career-best mark in power-play points after having already racked up 12 goals and eight helpers with the man advantage.

  • Lightning's Brayden Point: Not playing Tuesday

Point missed a team meeting and won't play Tuesday versus the Bruins, Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

This is likely to be a one-game absence for Point as head coach Jon Cooper sends a message on accountability. Jack Finley is projected to play, while Anthony Cirelli and Nick Paul figure to receive a larger share of ice time in Point's absence.

  • Lightning's Brayden Point: Nets 600th NHL point

Point scored a goal Thursday in a 4-1 win over Boston.

It was his 600th NHL point. Point has 289 goals and 311 assists in 615 games. This season, he has 25 goals and 22 assists in 34 games, and he's on a four-game, four-point streak (two goals, two assists). Point sits in a three-way tie with Mikko Rantanen and William Nylander for second in goals in the NHL with 24. But he's tallied those in just 34 games, compared to Nylander's 43 and Rantanen's 42. The only other player who comes close to that is Kirill Kaprizov (upper body), who has 23 in just 34 contests. Point's dominance is impressive.
